00:00Good morning everyone it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Wednesday
00:03September the 24th. You've not heard from myself or Darren for a few days we've
00:07actually been on annual leave so apologies for not many updates on the
00:14website but that's all going to change today. I'm back on duty and Darren will
00:18be returning in a couple of days so hopefully you've managed to keep on
00:23track of what's going on we have had some colleagues helping us out so that's
00:27been great so thank you for that but back to business first of all for those
00:32of you who struggled to get to work on time this morning we have details now of
00:37an incident excuse me that happened this morning let's just have a look there were
00:45delays of over an hour as a following a lane closure there was a collision which
00:51brought rush hour traffic to a standstill on the M18 northbound between junctions
00:5630 sorry junctions 3 and 4 this morning let's have a look at the national
01:05highways warned of the severe delays with the traffic expected to get back to
01:11normal about quarter past 10 hopefully looking at the time now that should all
01:15have been sorted we're just waiting to find out exactly what happened hopefully
01:20it wasn't too severe but obviously any incident on that motorway at that time
01:23does cause quite a lot of tailback so I hope you do did manage to get on your
01:29way as quickly as you could then we have an incident in Doncaster where a police
01:34officer was left with a glass shard in her back after a police car was attacked
01:40police said in a statement that a car was attacked and it's back window broken
01:45while the officer was inside with a suspect it was attacked from the outside by a
01:50third person however the report says officers have been carrying out proactive
01:56patrols in the Kirkhouse green area last Tuesday when the incident happened full
02:01report about that is on the website this morning and then finally one from
02:06politics a reform UK councillor who co-founded a new flight Doncaster branded
02:13company create it as create a creating conflict of interest concerns I set to
02:18lose his committee positions on the council the party as said councillor David
02:24Knight was as a director for fly Doncaster Auxiliary Services Limited alongside his
02:30party colleague and reform UK deputy leader councillor Rachel Reed the
02:36business established on companies house on September the 18th this year shares the
02:40first part of its name with the arms length company created by the council to manage
02:45Doncaster Sheffield Airport councillor Jason Charity the reform UK group spokesman confirmed
02:53it was not something that reform UK would have approved and it was councillor Knight's idea
