00:00The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has confirmed that its probe into overseas assets allegedly owned by former Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Mohamad is not limited to the UK, as Switzerland is also under scrutiny.
00:13MACC Chief Commissioner Azam Baki said while the agency continued to liaise with UK authorities, it was also casting its net wider.
00:22Azam also said MACC was working closely with the UK's International Anti-Corruption Coordination Centre to gather information on the assets.
00:32Mahathir had mocked Azam's remarks about the probe, claiming he had no knowledge of such assets abroad and sarcastically urging MACC to update him so he could claim the assets and donate them to the poor.
00:44The centenarian also alleged that the investigation was politically motivated.
