00:00I'm standing in the lobby of No Limits for Deaf children and families because a dedicated high
00:17school student has a passion for serving his community. We love No Limits! Hello. How are you?
00:24Good. Thanks so much for your help today. Now what this hard-working young man doesn't know is the
00:30founder of No Limits has nominated him to step into the spotlight at a surprise celebration
00:37fit for a celebrity. We need your autographs. With lights, cameras, and so many surprises ahead,
00:44this outstanding role model will be honored as a true VIP. They went out all out. So join me as we
00:52celebrate our hero, Jonah. My name is Lacey Chavert and this is my mission. I find unsung heroes doing
01:01amazing work in their communities and neighborhoods.
01:09It's time for them to shine.
01:13We're working with family, friends, and top party planners, Marissa Lehner and Lisa Friedman.
01:19Job well done. Yay! Well done, ladies. We only have three days to create epic parties for our heroes.
01:25Surprise!
01:35Now let's get ready to celebrate.
01:48Good morning, Lacey. Good morning. How are you? I'm doing great. How are you? Good. Hi. Nice to
01:55see you. How was your weekend? It was great. How was yours? It's great. Lots of laundry. I think my
02:01daughter does five to seven costume changes a day. Right. Pretty sure that's the number. She has many
02:05looks. Yeah. So I wash and fold and it's all dry and clean and lovely and then my little wiener dog
02:10comes and he comes right on top of it and like just pops himself down and then it's full of dog hair and
02:15I have to start over again. Well, today I am so excited because we have a new hero story that is
02:21amazing. This young man is pretty remarkable and the woman that's nominated him is remarkable herself.
02:27I'm excited to show you this video.
02:31My name is Jonah Choi. I'm 17 and I live in Los Angeles.
02:36I never really met a lot of deaf role models in my life or anybody that had hearing loss like me. I
02:44was the only kid in my school that I remember that had some sort of hearing loss. When he was born, we
02:52discovered Jonah actually is deaf on one side. I remember crying mainly because I was so worried
02:58about him. In the end, he has been an amazing kid. He has this internal sense of wanting to help others.
03:06I just was searching up nonprofits in the area that help out deaf kids and I found no limits. Seeing the
03:14kids like look up to me as somebody who's capable of everything, I really appreciate it and I value it deeply.
03:22I am Michelle Christie and I'm the founder of No Limits for deaf children and families.
03:35So No Limits really started as a theater group.
03:39No Limits has done over 200 productions across the country and they're all original shows. I actually
03:46write all of them because I wanted the kids to have equal parts on stage. I didn't want one child,
03:51oh you get the lead part and then you get the little small part. I can do it. It was just a passion
03:57of mine to develop the confidence and the skills of children with hearing loss, especially from low
04:02income families so they could have an equal playing field. Keep a building Tony, keep a building.
04:08We're a nonprofit, so without volunteers we really wouldn't be in existence today. And you never
04:14think you're going to have volunteers who are as passionate as you are to try to make a difference. And Jonah
04:20cares about these kids like I care about these kids.
04:24Sometimes I forget what to do on stage so Jonah helped me.
04:30I think it's important to mention how the kids accept their deafness. They don't view it as
04:36something that hinders them. I've never viewed myself as like disabled or
04:42incapable of doing something. With the amount of work, there's definitely sacrifice of time. But it's the
04:51fact that I really enjoy it that keeps me doing it. I think just watching the whole process of
04:58building confidence and seeing the kids all nervous. They're a little quiet and then by the end of the play,
05:06you see the kids. They're speaking loud. They feel confident. They're happy. They're having fun with
05:11each other.
05:16It's mind blowing.
05:17Let's just celebrate Jonah and let him know how much we appreciate him. I think that would make
05:24him feel really special and just say thank you so much for what you've done. You deserve this.
05:30Isn't he amazing?
05:32Yes. What resonated with me the most was that he wants to give back and be a role model to these
05:38children and show them that the world is their oyster. They can do anything they want.
05:42Yes. And it sounds like he is that to all of those kids. All right, we have three days. So first order of
05:49business is going to no limits. You can meet with Michelle. Yes, I think so. Ask her questions and I feel
05:53like she's going to point us in the right direction. For sure. All right, let's go.
06:01I'm really excited to meet Michelle. And I want to hear more about this theater program.
06:05You too. I mean, I grew up doing theater and I know how much it helped me with my confidence.
06:10Oh, you did live theater? I did. That's how I first started. I was in Les Miserables when I was
06:14nine years old. What? Yeah. Would you get to know the cast? Did you spend a lot of time with them?
06:19Oh my gosh. We were the best of friends because your parents drop you off. So you're with your
06:24chaperone. Oh. And we had Jim and he sat backstage with us and made sure that we were okay. And I had
06:30one performance where it didn't go well at all and I couldn't hit the notes and my voice was cracking
06:34and I ran off stage and trying not to cry. You know, he gave me the biggest hug and he says,
06:38it doesn't matter if you messed up or not because what you have inside of you is magic.
06:42Oh, I've chilled. He says, you're going to use that in your
06:44life and tell people's stories. It hit my heart so deeply and it's something that as an adult,
06:49you know, I go back to that moment all the time whenever I feel as insecure in my head.
06:52I think that's why Jonah's so important because he's this cool,
06:55older teenager who's saying to these kids, you are great and you can do anything you need to do.
07:01Jim was my chaperone when I was in the theater and he was a truly
07:04impactful role model in my life. And I feel like Jonah has been that pillar of confidence
07:10for so many other kids as well. Here is the parking garage for No Limits.
07:14All right. I can't wait to meet them all.
07:21Welcome to No Limits. Oh my gosh, it's such a pleasure.
07:24Hi, Lacey. So nice to meet you. Hi, Lacey. Hi. Thanks so much for being here. Hello.
07:28Marissa and Lisa. Hi. Nice to meet you. I am a Hallmark junkie. Please don't tell her. It's like,
07:35I'm like trying to pretend like I'm not starstruck, but I love her. You can just tell she really, really
07:41cares and it's just nice to meet someone like that. No Limits is just an incredible place where you help
07:47so many. And how did this all start? Where did this begin? Oh my goodness. Out of my one bedroom
07:53apartment, really. I'm a teacher of the deaf and I really wanted to figure out a way to develop
07:59their confidence to want to speak up in the classroom and raise their hand and not be afraid.
08:04And so I started this theater group because I want each child to be a star on stage. They don't have
08:09to play a part that's like a tree that they can actually have lines and they can actually do great
08:14things on stage. And theater just builds confidence. It really does. There's nothing like going out on
08:19stage and performing in front of a bunch of strangers, you know, it really does instill a
08:23sense of confidence. And like trying to make kids not feel alone, that they feel connected to the world.
08:28What does Jonah do specifically when he's here? Everything. It's kind of like, do you mind putting
08:33on 5,000 labels for our gala? You know, to that, to organizing costumes and, you know, if things break,
08:40he'll fix it. But the best thing he does is working with the kids. You know, I think that's where his
08:44heart is, is just working with the kids and making an impact. And he's that role model for the younger kids.
08:49This whole program is just amazing. And Jonah sounds like such a remarkable young man and a
08:53standout volunteer. So how are we going to celebrate them? Like, what would he love?
08:57Well, he loves being around the kids. We just did in the summer, a live theater production with the
09:02kids. And what we do is we videotape it. And then we do a premiere later for the kids to watch
09:08themselves. We need to do something to honor him at this premiere. That is going to be our party.
09:12A premiere party. A premiere party.
09:15I am beyond thrilled to throw a premiere party for Jonah and these kids.
09:18It makes me think about my very own first premiere I ever went to. It was just so thrilling. And I
09:24hope to create that same feeling for these kids. And I hope they can feel the pride in their work
09:30as they watch themselves on the big screen.
09:31So what do we need to look for when we're finding this venue?
09:34So we're going to need a projector.
09:35Okay.
09:35We have popcorn. We do a little paparazzi, you know, make it really fun. You know about red carpets.
09:41What do we need for a good, authentic red carpet moment?
09:44Red carpets make me very nervous always. You're always worried about finding the right outfit,
09:49what to say. Maybe there's some sort of takeaway we can create. Maybe there's like a little award
09:56statue we can give to all the kids. I love it. Are there any kids here that Jonah is particularly
10:01connected with or that he's impacted? Actually, Nate and Phillip, they're actually up in the teen room and
10:06they just love, love, love Jonah. Is there anywhere I can meet them? Absolutely. Yeah. Maybe while you
10:11guys look around, I can say hi. Well, feel free. All right. Thank you so much. We'll see you. Come
10:16on, Lacey. Come on. I'll show you the room. Hey, Lacey, this is Nate and Phillip. Hey, boys. Hi,
10:26boys. How are you? I've heard so much about you. You know, I was here learning a lot about Jonah,
10:31and I heard that you guys are really good friends. Yeah. Yeah. And how did you meet Jonah? We were
10:35talking about like this game for Pokemon Go and then he like showed me how many Pokemons he has
10:42and he let us play on on his phone. Nice. So it sounds like you guys have become good friends,
10:47huh? Yeah. Yeah. Jonah's like a very fun person. He's very kind to me and like he's kind to others too.
10:55That's why I like Jonah. Do you enjoy spending time at No Limits? Yeah. Like the first couple of days
11:02when I just started going, I thought it was just going to be like the doctor's office just talking
11:06about the hearing and all that stuff. Right. But actually they had more things.
11:11So were you both in this last theater performance? Yeah. And are you excited to go to the premiere and
11:17see your work? Yeah. Yeah. Jonah helps me like to not like be nervous on stage and um like not like
11:26to like memorize what I need to memorize. That was my first time like actually being in the play.
11:32Nice. Look at this popcorn cart. So cute. So fun. Oh, box office. It's the theater. Got it.
11:40The No Limits space is so cool. Michelle has dressed up each room into different vignettes so the
11:45children's imaginations can just go wild. Wow. I love this. Look at all the stars. Look at the red carpet.
11:54This is the red robe. So clever. Oh, that's cute. Like the stage door with the like actor's name.
12:03Yes. But with Jonah, like Jonah is the star. Yeah, it should be on the floor, you know,
12:06like the Hollywood floors. Oh, the Walk of Fame. He should have his own like floor tile. How exciting
12:11would it be to do a Walk of Fame start? We should definitely incorporate this into the party. Lacey
12:16would love it. Glitzy. Glamorous. Formal premiere. Okay. Yeah. I like it.
12:21What do you think it is about theater that you enjoy the most? I kind of like making the
12:26audience laugh. Yes. And I also like expressing
12:33every single feeling that I always wanted to do out in the world. So it's freeing?
12:40Yeah, I understand that. The best feeling for me is like you get to like perform like to the people
12:50that's watching you. Yeah. And like you get to like feel the experience that the actors do. I think
12:55that's really interesting. That's awesome. People often assume that kids with disabilities have
13:00limited options. That's why programs like No Limits are so important. It teaches these kids that they can
13:06do anything they put their mind to and also shows the rest of the world not to underestimate these
13:11kids. That's awesome. I can't wait to see all the work you created. Let's go to the diner. Cute. Look,
13:17she has menus. Marissa. Wait, speaking of menu, what are we serving these people? We could do concessions,
13:23fancy concessions, right? Fun, popcorn. Yeah. All dressed up. Yes. Maybe in glitzy gold wrappers. I love it.
13:31Maybe we can have personalized cocktail napkins. Let's say... Jonah's a star. Yes. We definitely
13:36want these kids to feel glamorous and like celebrities. So that has to be like the theme
13:40of the party. I love that. We can do snazzy waiters passing out, really fun desserts and snacks. And
13:46like fancy little bites. I love it. I love it. Wait, we should go check out because I've been dying to play
13:51with this cash register. Oh, yes. You know what? I don't have any money. Oh, well, don't worry because
13:56they all cards are welcome. Oh, perfect. Perfect. Thank you. I'll just run to the ATM. Okay. Thank
14:01you. And I will just bring you up over here. Bye-bye. Bye. We only have two days until Jonah's
14:06surprise celebration. We still have to find a location for the premiere. We have to come up
14:11with decorations. And I still have to figure out my hero moment to make Jonah feel like the star he really
14:15is. Hey, Lise, can you come down and help me with these stanchions, please? Yes, but I just brought you
14:24guys coffee, so let me put this down first. I love you. Thank you. Well, I really needed some
14:29this morning, so I thought you might too. Thank you. I always need some. Good morning. Hi, Lisey.
14:35How are you? Good morning. Good morning. How are you? Hi. I'm well, thanks. Oh, what is this? This is
14:40our red carpet. It's the most fabulous red carpet I've ever seen. It's so fun. We could play with these
14:46for hours. Yeah, right? Yeah. I love this because the whole point is to make Jonah feel like the real
14:52celebrity. Absolutely. But these children that put on the show need to be on the red carpet too.
14:57A hundred percent. In fact, I actually got to meet two really special young men at No Limits
15:01yesterday, Philip and Nate. And they are friends of Jonah's. And they've become close through the
15:07theater program specifically. And it was so nice to hear them talk about the impact that Jonah has
15:13directly had on them. Jonah is like the secret weapon of No Limits. From helping the kids run their lines
15:20and just doing everything he can to instill confidence in them so they are ready for their
15:23performance. On to the plans. Where do we stand? Well, since Jonah and the kids are going to premiere
15:30the screening of their play, we decided to find a beautiful theater in Hollywood where they can
15:34premiere it. Oh, I love that. What's great about this space is that it's old school Hollywood in a
15:40beautiful historical building that has an intimate theater. Before the screening, they can mingle and then
15:48walk straight into the theater. We're imagining that Jonah is going to walk in through here.
15:53And along this wall is a beautiful big brick wall. And we thought there we really wanted to decorate
15:58to maybe do like a selfie moment. Jonah's name and lights.
16:05This area opens up and it's an attached space like a pop out space. The red carpet could go there.
16:11That would be perfect right here. Oh, that's fun. So the kids can take great photos and feel like movie
16:16stars for the night. And there's enough room for the paparazzi to be there, too. Do you have
16:20paparazzi? Well, we're going to hire them. Do you know the paparazzi? Um, well, maybe you can tell
16:24us who to hire. It's a faux paparazzi. A faux paparazzi. And then right here, we were thinking to
16:29have some kind of concession. So we were thinking of like a popcorn bar or something, right? Okay.
16:34Snacks for the kids before they go in to watch the show. I feel like we need to get him there in style,
16:38though. What do you think about getting a limo? That's fun. He may be a little suspicious that he's getting
16:43picked up in a limo, but it's for an interview. Maybe that's... Maybe you could say that's how
16:48all the interviews go. Exactly. And then is there going to be a goodie bag kind of thing,
16:53like some sort of takeaway? We do. We have swag bags and we were actually hoping that you could
16:57possibly help us make them. Oh, I can do that. Okay, they're in your car. Okay, fine. I can grab those
17:02and I'm actually meeting with Jonah's parents later. So maybe while I'm talking to them, they could help me
17:06with that. That'd be really nice. They just need to be stuffed. Perfect. I want it. We just have to
17:09figure out the decor. Okay. No big deal. We should do stars. Definitely stars. Yes,
17:16we have to have Hollywood stars. Actually, that gives me a great idea for my hero gift.
17:32I'm at No Limits putting together swag bags for our party. There are a lot of really cute items for
17:36our attendees and I'm really excited because Jonah's parents are going to be stopping by to meet me
17:40today. Hi, how are you? I'm Jonah's mom, Kathy. Hi, I'm Lacey. It's so nice to meet you. So nice to
17:45meet you. I'm John. Hi, very nice to meet you. Yes, I'm a hugger. Okay. Oh my goodness. Thank you so
17:52much for meeting me here. So the party is going to be a premiere. Okay, great. And I want to make these
17:57like really fun swag bags for the kids. Do you want to help me? Of course.
18:00Tell me about Jonah. How did he become involved in No Limits? When he was born,
18:08he was actually profoundly deaf on his left side. Wow. As a parent, you know, obviously we were just
18:14very worried about him. Did you have a lot of support as a family? We're lucky we were able to
18:19get him the services that he needs. But I think he missed out on being with other children who had
18:26hearing loss. He decided he wanted to do something with other children who also had hearing loss.
18:33And that's how he came across No Limits. You know, he's always been a quiet kid and, you know,
18:38doesn't necessarily seek attention. Jonah was just always wired to just volunteer. And I think he just
18:44had the sense of just wanting to get things done. We're very proud of him. And this is such a wonderful
18:50surprise. Yeah, have a seat. Oh, okay. In the diner? Have a seat in the diner. Yeah. A little
18:58makeshift diner we have for you guys. Can I have a milkshake, please? Yeah. Guys, milkshake,
19:03please for the ladies. All right. So tell me about the client and the theme. Our hero's name is Jonah,
19:08and he is partially deaf and he volunteers and mentors children at a program called No Limits for
19:13Deaf Children. So the kids from No Limits put on a play because putting on a play is supposed to help
19:18them with their speech and gain confidence. And Jonah is always behind the scenes at these plays.
19:22So we want to throw a premiere party where Jonah is the star of the show and he is the one who is
19:27honored. We want it big, right? Yes. Because we want to see his name loud and proud. So what,
19:32so let me just pitch this. What if we just do like a really big backdrop, like a, like a photo backdrop for
19:37him? Oh, a step and repeat. A step and repeat. Yes. Can you make a custom step and repeat for us?
19:42Absolutely. You tell us what you guys want. We will make it happen. So if we sent over like a logo with
19:46Jonah's name, you can. Absolutely. Okay, good. We want to make him feel like a true VIP.
19:54So there's going to be a limo picking him up. Fancy. This is something that he's going to be
20:01like floored by. You'll be pretty stunned because he's pretty low key kid. Yeah. Well, your son is
20:07teaching us all, all of us, a valuable lesson about what it means to actually live a life and walk a path
20:14of service for others. And it's just so nice to meet you. Thank you so much. Thank you for your
20:19help too. Saving a lot of time. So we really need signage desperately. Let me show you what we actually
20:28got. So let's go ahead and get a marquee. Actually, I got one right here. Oh, this is great. And it lights,
20:34it lights up here. Yeah. We will customize it to say Jonah and we will put in the colors that you want it to
20:38be. We're checking all the things off the list, but we need to break the news that we need it all
20:43for tomorrow. Can you do it in one day? Uh, you're asking me to build neon signs, our custom carpet.
20:50Custom carpet. In the last minute. Yes.
20:55Yes. You can do that? Yeah, no problem. Okay. So let's go ahead and head to the office
21:00and we'll get you started right away. Yes, please.
21:10Hello. Lacey. Hi. Hi. Michelle. Hi. How are you? It's great to see you. This is Willie I've been
21:17talking about. It's so nice to meet you. Thank you so much for doing this. You're welcome.
21:21Today, we're going to be meeting with Willie. He makes a lot of the props at No Limits. He's going
21:26to make something very special for my hero moment for Jonah, but we are running out of time. I just
21:30want to do a special project for him that makes him feel like the star that he is. And I was thinking
21:35maybe we could create his own star of fame. Is that something you could help me make? Yeah. The
21:40star could maybe be in the middle. Oh, handprints. That would be amazing. Oh my god, that's such a good
21:44idea. Would he like that? He would love it. I think that would be really fun, right? Yeah, and so special.
21:49Okay, I would love that. Okay, so what we need, we need a circle. And the star of the Hollywood got five
21:55points, right? So the thing is, our celebration is tomorrow. Is this something that you think you
22:00can have done by tomorrow? Is this something that you think you can have done by tomorrow? Yeah,
22:08I want to do it right now. Right now? Great. Let's do it. Okay, let's go. Back up a little bit. That I can do.
22:19You should see some of the props he's made. It's amazing for our kids. Incredible.
22:26So sweet, Lacey. Incredible. It's so sweet. Oh. Now we need the circles.
22:32We need the circles. We need the circles. We need the circles. We need the circles.
22:45Wow, look at that. Oh, I love it. Oh, wow. I would love to see this be red and maybe have
22:51a gold star. Do you think that would work? Yeah, nice contrast. Okay. Yeah, I can go get a gold
22:56paint and put it together for you to build your frame. Okay. And you guys take care of the plaster.
23:00Perfect. I'll work on the plaster tomorrow. Okay. Put it all together and then it'll be ready.
23:06Okay. Thank you so much. I really can't thank you enough for your help. So we didn't finish the
23:10hero moment today, which makes me a little nervous, but we have a plan. So the plaster has to be mixed
23:16right before Jonah arrives tomorrow so that it'll still be wet for his handprints to mold. It turned
23:20up great. Jonah's going to love it.
23:31Good morning. Hi, Lacey. Install has started, as you can see. I'm so excited about Jonah's glam
23:37carpet premiere party. Yes, you will see. This room will be glamified.
23:41That's going to be beautiful. Okay. Well, Michelle's going to come help. She'll be here soon.
23:46Well, I can go over the floor plan with you. That'd be great.
23:48Yep. Obviously our step and repeat, where the kids will feel like they're on the red carpet.
23:53And then a delicious popcorn situation happening over in this corner.
23:58Cute. And then they can carry it into the theater and watch their premiere. And in the theater,
24:03we will have Jonah's name in lights for when you present his Walk of Fame started.
24:07This is so exciting. It makes me very nostalgic about starting out in theater. And I just can't
24:14wait to see the look on these kids faces when they get to see their hard work on the big screen. I just
24:20feel really honored to be a part of it. This is incredible. This is going to blow their mind.
24:24All right, we only have four hours, so we better get going. Yes, let's go.
24:34Let's get our shimmer well in now. Oh, that's beautiful.
24:37The more shimmer, the better.
24:40And if this is the front of our red carpet? Yeah.
24:45Oh, I think this looks great. So cute. Lacey, can you show us how you walk?
24:50Pro tips. I need to learn this because I never know how to take a picture.
24:53I feel like shoulders back. Okay, shoulders back. Yeah, maybe cross the leg.
24:59Cross leg. Okay, do I look natural like her or bizarre? You do, but her toe is more pointed
25:04because I'm feeling ridiculous, but she looks good.
25:06Maybe they just do a dance move. Yeah.
25:08A dance move. Okay. Fun.
25:09So like... Jazz hands is always a good option.
25:11Oh, really? This is good.
25:12Looks great in photos. Can you imagine?
25:17So after seeing myself in a lot of pictures, I learned what works and what doesn't. And
25:21you know, I have a few go-to poses. Okay, let's get back to work.
25:25We're going to stick to what we're good at.
25:30Everyone, we have two hours left. Two hours until the guests start to arrive.
25:34What have I done wrong?
25:43Hello. Hi, Michelle.
25:46You guys, this is unbelievable. Will you come to my house?
25:50Yes. I can't believe it. I had big dreams,
25:56but I would have never dreamt that something like this could happen.
25:59I'm so glad you liked it. I love it. You put Jonah and his name up there.
26:05That's just you guys. I can't... Look, it's so beautiful. Like, what the hell?
26:08And we're not even done. There's still a lot more.
26:10Oh my gosh. And he's going to arrive in a limo.
26:15How did... I don't get it. So how... What is he thinking?
26:17He thinks that he's coming to be a part of the hero documentary.
26:20Okay. Thank you so much. That's amazing. I really... This is overwhelming.
26:24And if you don't mind, I think we're going to put you to work.
26:26Okay. All right. I'm in. What can I do?
26:29I'm thinking like maybe here. We definitely need to cover that.
26:40Yeah. Do we have ones that are different sizes as well?
26:43We just need scissors and a stapler. Who's got it? We got to find one.
26:51Get your popcorn. Get your popcorn. Whoa.
26:54That's so cute. I will be right back. We'll do chairs.
27:01This looks great. There's so much going on and I still have to work on my hero gift.
27:10So I need to get this molding clay to the consistency of wet cement so Jonah can place his hands in it
27:15like a real star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Requires a lot of arm strength.
27:23But I'm hoping this looks like the color of concrete. What do you think?
27:25Next time I'm choosing a hero gift that requires a little less manual labor.
27:28This might be a little more difficult than I thought.
27:36Okay.
27:40We only have one hour left and there is so much to do before Jonah arrives.
27:45Who has the tape? Who has the tape?
27:46Excuse me. All right, everyone. We have 10 minutes left. All hands on deck. Only 10 minutes till everyone gets here.
28:02Michelle, come. We wanted you to see it before anyone else got here.
28:06Oh my gosh. I can't wait. Welcome to Jonah's glam carpet premiere party.
28:11Oh my gosh.
28:36The guests are about to arrive.
28:38And we have really pulled off this Hollywood premiere party in such a short amount of time.
28:43And I feel like all of our hard work is about to pay off. I cannot wait to see the look on Jonah's face.
28:47Okay. Okay, Michelle. This is the part where I get butterflies every time.
28:51Take a deep breath.
28:52Get really excited.
28:53Oh my gosh. This is so exciting.
28:56Hi.
28:57I'm so happy to see you.
28:59So happy that you're here.
29:04Hey.
29:05How's it going?
29:06So nice to meet you, Jack.
29:08Okay, do a little spin.
29:09Oh, look at your party dress.
29:10Oh my gosh. You look so beautiful.
29:12Oh, you have bows on your shoes. I love it.
29:13Oh my gosh.
29:14I love this.
29:18No, I think we're just going to focus on you.
29:22He didn't flinch at all. It was interesting because he just thinks, oh, I'm just in a limo. No big deal.
29:30Which was pretty funny. I thought he was going to, you know, the antennas would be up and he would say,
29:35what's going on.
29:36What's going on?
29:36He actually never did. He was totally a cool cucumber the entire ride.
29:41Nice to meet you.
29:42Thank you so much for coming.
29:44Oh my gosh. Those are so cute. Oh, they're skeleton gummy bears.
29:47Hello.
29:48Oh, good to see you. How are you?
29:50Well, welcome.
29:51Hello there.
29:51I think you know each other.
29:53Nice to see you again, Lacey.
29:55Say hi. You look so snazzy.
29:58Yeah, you're looking sharp.
30:00Oh my gosh.
30:06He's almost here.
30:07Oh my gosh.
30:08He's almost here.
30:08Okay, everyone.
30:09You guys ready?
30:10Oh my gosh.
30:10He's one minute away.
30:12We're going to get really quiet.
30:13And then when he walks in, we're all going to yell, surprise.
30:18Okay.
30:21Everyone tuck into the side, please.
30:23Okay.
30:27I'm excited.
30:55Did you know about this?
30:57Oh, you knew this entire time?
31:00What?
31:01Looking at the surprise on his face was a total shock to me.
31:06I was so happy for him.
31:08I've never seen him so excited.
31:13When Jonah comes in and he is genuinely surprised,
31:21it was amazing.
31:24Hi, Jonah. My name is Lacey.
31:26Thank you so much for being here with us today.
31:28We're so excited to celebrate you.
31:29This is all for you.
31:32I know you're probably very confused and you've been told a lot of things,
31:36but we're going to enjoy the premiere of your play and all of your friends get to see themselves
31:40on the big screen.
31:42I can't believe that.
31:44I'm in shock.
31:46I don't even know what to say.
31:48I see my friends from Super Bowl.
31:50I don't even know how did they get there.
31:55We're also really here to celebrate what a hero you are and all that you do to volunteer with no limits.
32:01Thank you so much.
32:02You're so welcome.
32:03I'm so grateful.
32:09Shocked.
32:10Waves of emotions.
32:11I honestly don't know.
32:14It is such an honor to be here to celebrate you, Jonah.
32:16I wanted to tell you a little bit about how this all came about because I'm sure you have some questions.
32:20But Michelle here, who's just an amazing human being, she actually nominated you.
32:25Oh, wow.
32:26Yes, and we were so inspired and impressed by how much you volunteer and how much of yourself you give back to this beautiful community.
32:33So I did want to give Michelle a chance to say something.
32:38Well, I nominated you because you have a humble heart.
32:43I know something like this is not something you'd ever expect.
32:46I always think about like you and your ability to have that spirit of volunteerism at such a young age.
32:54And you understand the power of compassion.
32:57And I can see how much happiness that you get when you help others.
33:01And that's just something that's so rare.
33:03And I've never heard you clock in hours or say, oh, well, I can't do it.
33:07I've already got enough hours this semester.
33:09Like you're always, always there for us.
33:11I'm just so grateful to you for all the passion, compassion, empathy that you have.
33:18And you're such a hero to me.
33:19And you're an inspiration to all of us here.
33:22So thank you.
33:29I mean, I feel so honored to be here.
33:32And to think that Michelle would recommend me this spot here, I'm just forever thankful.
33:43And I aspire to be like you.
33:46I truly do.
33:50Oh, that's so sweet.
33:51Well, thank you for everything.
33:53Oh my gosh.
33:55I just, you hold such a special place in my heart.
33:57So thank you.
33:58You deserve this more than anyone I know.
34:01Take me home.
34:06Love you.
34:16Take one.
34:27Take one.
34:28Take one.
34:28Take one.
34:28Take one.
34:28Take one.
34:29Take one.
34:30Take one.
34:30Are you surprised?
34:31It's like the craziest thing ever.
34:35Should we go watch the premiere of your play?
34:37Yeah.
34:41As an actress, it's really a fun moment to be able to share your work finally with your friends
34:45and family.
34:46And getting to be here today, seeing all of these young actors and actresses share that special
34:50moment with their families is, it's really special.
34:53I get to watch what I did and accomplished.
35:14That's like nervous and exciting at the same time.
35:17It's so incredible to see them watch their stellar work.
35:24I mean, you don't always get to do that with live performances.
35:27And Jonah is usually backstage, so for him to be a part of it makes it even more special.
35:47Oh my goodness, that was so special.
35:52You all are amazing.
35:54What a talented group of people.
36:00I was so inspired by that.
36:01I love how you all said, I can do it.
36:03You really can do it and all of your dreams can come true.
36:07And I am just so, so, so honored that I got to witness that with you
36:11and see all of your beautiful work and what a special moment that was.
36:15I'm just so grateful that they spent so much time to create this magical day for me.
36:22Phillip and Nate, can I have your help with something?
36:26Thank you so much.
36:28If you could help me back there for a second.
36:32And then Jonah, if you wouldn't mind coming to the stage.
36:34Hi, stand here, please.
36:44Is it going to be a cake or?
36:46We'll see.
36:46It might be something like it.
36:53All righty, thank you so much, gentlemen.
36:57Appreciate your help, thank you.
36:59So because you're often behind the scenes, we thought that you deserved your moment in the
37:03spotlight with your very own star of faith.
37:06Wow.
37:07Thank you so much.
37:08You're very welcome.
37:09Michelle, help me make this.
37:12And you're actually going to put your handprints in it and then you get to sign it.
37:14I feel blessed.
37:33It's been an absolute blast spending this day with everybody.
37:39It's, it's been wild.
37:43And before you all leave, please make sure that everyone signs it.
37:47For the true star that you really are.
37:50I hope this helps you remember this day.
37:52I will.
37:52I will forever.
37:53I'd just like to thank everybody for coming out.
37:56I really appreciate it.
38:01To honor Jonah in this way feels really magical.
38:08And I hope he feels like a true star.
38:10But that's not all I have planned for this incredibly special program that helps so many.
38:14I can't wait to share.
38:15I couldn't leave here today without acknowledging another amazing hero.
38:19Michelle, would you join me on stage, please?
38:21You know, when I learned about No Limits and how it came to be and how you created this on
38:33your own 27 years ago, I can't tell you how genuinely inspired I am by you.
38:39And just in the last few days that I've known you, I can only imagine how much you've touched
38:44the thousands of families that you've been able to serve.
38:47So I just have one little surprise for you.
38:49I'll be right back.
39:00Oh my gosh.
39:01We couldn't leave without doing something to support your efforts.
39:04So we're excited to present you with this $10,000 donation.
39:08And we just want to say thank you for everything that you do for this beautiful community.
39:12Oh my gosh, $10,000, that is amazing.
39:24We will put it toward the theater program so we can do this next summer.
39:31Oh my gosh, you guys, do you believe that we got $10,000?
39:35So it's a very big moment.
39:36Like I'm trying to be cool, but I'm just like inside, I'm just dancing.
39:40So thank you.
39:49There was a place we'd go that we could once call home.
39:54I'm so proud of you.
39:56I'm so proud of you.
39:57I'm so proud of you.
39:57You deserved it.
39:58We really do.
39:59You're amazing.
40:00You're amazing.
40:01I just feel so, like, so glad that they made this so special for you.
40:06I mean, look at this.
40:06This is amazing.
40:07Yeah, they went out all out.
40:10They went all out.
40:11What do you think?
40:12Look at this.
40:13It's a celebration.
40:19It's a celebration.
40:22And Macy, for you, you're officially part of the No Limits family.
40:28Thank you so much.
40:29I love it.
40:30I'm going to put it on right now.
40:33Oh, you're welcome.
40:33Thank you so much.
