Graham Falk sits down with Darmstadt and former Scotland under-21's striker Fraser Hornby to discuss his pride at being the country's record goal-scorer at under-21 level, and his former which former Scottish teammates are the best he's played with.  #Scotland #Bundesliga #ScotlandU21s

00:00You've been capped 18 times at under-21s level and various other youth levels, of course.

00:05Loads of really good players came through with you at the time,

00:07but who was the best you played alongside in those teams?

00:10I'm not just saying it because he's still a close friend of mine,

00:16but Billy Gilmore was always someone that stood up.

00:22We were roommates together for two, three years with the 21s.

00:30And, yeah, he came into our setup as, I think he was 16, 17 when he came into our team.

00:40And it was, I'd never seen somebody that young be so good and impact games the way that he did.

00:51And to me, it's been no surprise to see how his career is developing.

00:56And the same with Lewis Ferguson, also a good friend of mine, played with him since under-17s Scotland.

01:08And he was also one that maybe was underrated sometimes.

01:17He was, I always say, he was the best person I've ever played with at winning fouls.

01:23And that just, I think, sums him up perfectly.

01:26Because he, some of the things he did as a teammate, you kind of realise how good he is

01:35and how difficult some of the things he does, but maybe doesn't get the recognition outside

01:41from how good of a player he is.

01:44And to me, it's no surprise he's captain of Bologna now and doing really well over that.

01:49You're the record goal scorer for the under-21 team with 10 goals.

01:54What does the achievement mean to you?

01:55Because there's a lot of good players that have came through that big system

01:58and you're the standout with the 10 goals.

02:00What does it mean?

02:01No, it definitely means a lot.

02:05I think any kind of individual achievements that you can have, whether it's club or international level,

02:14is a really good thing to have at any level.

02:21And for me, I always loved playing with that 21 squad, loved playing under Scott Gamble.

02:29So, yeah, for me, that was just a highlight of what a really good kind of two, three years that period was.
