00:00A 49-year-old male today is going to be charged with murder following the death of a 34-year-old
00:05earlier today at Canberra Hospital. The incident occurred on Monday evening at the Southside
00:12Village Caravan Park in Simonston where police received a call about an unconscious male lying
00:17at the front door of a residence there. Police arrived shortly after and commenced CPR as did
00:23our colleagues from the ambulance service. Tragically today he succumbed to those injuries.
00:28While the 49-year-old was charged with serious assault offences earlier in the week, he attended
00:32a city station earlier today and he will subsequently be charged with murder. We're exploring a number
00:39of aspects in relation to the case including discussions or events that took place earlier
00:43prior to the man dying and the altercation taking place on Monday. We're asking anyone who had any
00:51interactions with either man prior to the assault to come forward and call Crime Stoppers on 1800
