00:00Three people decided to spend their vacations in Antarctica.
00:04Bianca had some trouble with the harsh weather, but felt it was worth it in the end.
00:09Pablo had a great time photographing the penguins for his social media page.
00:13And Helena got to do some fishing while she was there.
00:17On the last day of their trip, passing through airport security,
00:21one of them got caught trying to take a penguin with them in their backpack.
00:25Take a look at the picture. Can you tell who it was?
00:30Let's see what we have here.
00:39Well, well, is that a penguin's feet poking out of Helena's backpack?
00:43It sure is. Guess she did more than just fishing during her vacation.
00:48Yikes!
00:50These three young men are brothers.
00:52They were born as identical triplets,
00:55and their favorite hobby is to confuse people by switching their identities.
01:00Carol is a longtime friend of the brothers, but she hadn't seen them in over a decade.
01:05When she arrived at their place, she couldn't tell who was who.
01:09She asked the one sitting on the left,
01:11which brother is sitting in the middle?
01:13And the reply was,
01:14that's Sam.
01:16And she returned to the guy in the middle and asked,
01:18what's your name?
01:19And he said,
01:21I'm Alex.
01:21She turned to the guy on the right and asked,
01:25who's that guy in the middle?
01:27And the answer was,
01:28ah, that's Bob.
01:30Carol got frustrated at her friends,
01:32but decided to play along.
01:34She knew that Sam always told the truth,
01:38Bob always lied,
01:40and Alex was unpredictable.
01:41Sometimes he lied,
01:42but sometimes he told the truth.
01:53We know that Sam always tells the truth,
01:56so the brother on the left couldn't be Sam,
01:58as he wouldn't be able to call someone else by his name.
02:02The brother in the middle can't be Sam either,
02:04for the same reason.
02:06So,
02:06the brother on the right must be Sam.
02:09And since we know he always tells the truth,
02:12the guy in the middle is Bob,
02:14and the brother on the left is Alex.
02:17Both Bob and Alex lied to Carol.
02:21No wonder she doesn't visit much, huh?
02:26Sarah, Sierra, and Sandra are best friends.
02:30One day after school,
02:32they met up in the park to play a game.
02:34Each of them bought a certain amount of candies
02:36and chocolate bars before their game started.
02:39When they sat down to play,
02:41here's what happened.
02:43Sarah gave Sierra and Sandra
02:45as many sweets as they already had.
02:48Then,
02:49Sierra gave Sandra and Sarah
02:50as many sweets as they had.
02:53And finally,
02:54Sandra gave Sarah and Sierra
02:56as many sweets as they had.
02:59At the end of this crazy switcheroo,
03:02each of them had exactly 24 candies in their box.
03:05How many sweets did they have in the beginning?
03:08At first,
03:17Sarah had 39 candies,
03:19Sierra had 21,
03:21and Sandra had 12.
03:23This is how it works.
03:25In the first round,
03:27Sarah gave Sierra 21 candies to match what she had
03:30and gave Sandra 12 candies.
03:32She was left with 6 candies for herself.
03:36In the next round,
03:38Sierra gave 6 candies to Sarah
03:40and 24 to Sandra
03:41to match what they had.
03:44By the end,
03:45Sandra gave Sarah 12 candies
03:47and another 12 to Sierra.
03:49Detective Robin was called to Long Hill College
03:55to investigate a series of thefts
03:57that were happening on campus.
03:59In a week's time,
04:01the man had three suspects.
04:03What were you doing when the last theft happened?
04:06He asked them.
04:08Thomas said,
04:09That day I was away.
04:10I had to take my younger sister to her violin rehearsal.
04:14Judy said,
04:15I spent the day at the library
04:17getting ready for the midterm tests.
04:21Robert said,
04:21I was also at the library,
04:24studying Portuguese.
04:25I'm going to Guatemala for the summer vacation,
04:28so I'm trying to catch up on the language.
04:30The detective immediately knew who was lying.
04:34Can you tell who it was?
04:43It was Robert.
04:45Detective Smith knows
04:46that they speak Spanish in Guatemala,
04:48not Portuguese.
04:49So he must have been lying.
04:51It was Bobby's first day on vacation in Hawaii.
04:57He booked a two-week stay on an island for the summer.
05:00He also rented a motorcycle to get around,
05:03but on his first drive,
05:04he fell off the vehicle and hurt his head.
05:07The next thing he knew,
05:09he was waking up in a local hospital
05:11and three women were waiting for him.
05:13All three women said they were his girlfriend.
05:16Can you help Robert find out
05:18who his real girlfriend is?
05:21The first woman is too tanned
05:29for the first day of vacation.
05:31The woman in the middle
05:32has her hands full with shopping bags.
05:35Who goes shopping while their boyfriend
05:36is in the hospital?
05:38It's the third woman.
05:39Also, look at her pocket.
05:41She has a spare key
05:42to the motorcycle Bobby was driving.
05:44Becca wants to cross the Sahara Desert
05:49on Camelback.
05:51She knows it's a risky journey.
05:53All in all,
05:54it will take her six days to do it.
05:56But there's a problem.
05:57She can only carry enough food for four days.
06:00Can you help Becca figure out
06:02the least number of people she needs
06:04to invite in order for all of them
06:06to have enough food during the entire trip?
06:08She'll need to invite at least two people.
06:21Let's say Brendan and Tucker
06:22decide they want to tag along.
06:24By the end of the first day,
06:26they'll have enough food for nine days.
06:28If they ate the equivalent
06:29of three days of food from Brendan's bag,
06:32Brendan would still have one day of food left
06:34to head back home
06:35and not need to cross the desert.
06:38Becca and Tucker can continue the crossing
06:41with an eight-day food package.
06:43On the end of the second day,
06:45the total food supply will be reduced
06:46to a six-day package.
06:48Now, Tucker will have enough food
06:50for two days in his package
06:52and he can head back home.
06:54This will help Becca to finish
06:56the four last days by herself.
06:59Way to go, Becca!
07:03At Silverstone Elementary School,
07:05the teachers are excited
07:07to adopt a new methodology
07:08for testing their students.
07:11They would allow students
07:12to take a book with them
07:13to their exams
07:14for them to consult freely
07:16during test days.
07:17This wouldn't be considered cheating
07:19from now on.
07:20But on the day of the history exam,
07:22Sophie's teacher caught her cheating
07:24some other way.
07:26Take a look at the picture.
07:27Can you guess how Sophie was cheating?
07:29Sophie is hiding her cell phone
07:39inside her book.
07:41I guess that wasn't all that clever
07:43of her, huh?
07:45The king of high country
07:47was holding a feast
07:48to celebrate another year
07:50of his life.
07:51He invited all of his friends,
07:53the royal members
07:54of nearby kingdoms.
07:55The guests gathered
07:57in the great hall,
07:58where a lovely table was set.
08:00Before the celebration began,
08:02one of the courtiers
08:03informed the king
08:04that all the drinks
08:05on the table
08:05were poisoned.
08:07Still,
08:08the king said nothing
08:09and offered everyone
08:10to raise a toast
08:11to the new millennium.
08:12All the guests got up
08:14and raised their glasses.
08:15That's when the king
08:16noticed the villain
08:17who had been trying
08:18to poison him
08:19and other guests.
08:20Take a look at this image.
08:21Can you tell who it is?
08:32Look at the guy
08:33sitting in the middle.
08:34He's holding an empty glass.
08:37He knows that the drinks
08:38are poisoned,
08:39so he hasn't poured
08:40anything for himself.
08:43On a snowy winter night,
08:45a thief broke into
08:46a famous singer's house
08:48and stole a bag of jewelry.
08:49He didn't manage
08:51to get too far though
08:52because a police vehicle
08:54passed by
08:55while he was escaping.
08:57The thief tossed
08:57the bag of jewelry
08:58in the snow
08:59and hid behind
09:00one of the buildings.
09:02The singer
09:02immediately noticed
09:03that they had been robbed
09:04and called
09:05Detective Sommer to help.
09:07The detective
09:08quickly gathered
09:09two suspects.
09:11Take a look
09:11at both of them.
09:12Can you tell
09:13who the thief is?
09:14If you dig snow
09:24with your bare hands,
09:25they will most likely
09:26turn red.
09:27Take a look
09:28at that guy's hands.
09:29They're burning red.
09:31He must be the culprit.
09:33That's it for today.
09:35So hey,
