00:00Hello everyone, in this video I will show you how to create contour lines using a topographic
00:05surface model in Rhino. If you don't know where to download the same 3D topographic file I'm using
00:12in this video, just go to topexport.com. This web app works worldwide, the link is in the description.
00:19So let's get started. First select the mesh you want to generate the contour lines from,
00:24then type the command contour, switch to the front view and make sure the grid snap is enabled.
00:36Now choose the origin point, next draw a vertical line in the contour command parenthesis,
00:42enter the interval you want, for example I will type 1 to generate contour lines every 1 meter.
00:49And there we go, as you can see the contour lines are created at every 1 meter interval.
00:56I can now create a new layer called contours and move all the contour lines curves into it.
01:08And that's it, all the contour lines are generated at the interval I choose in under 1 minute.
