00:00Hello everyone, in this video I will show you how to convert and edit building meshes into
00:063D native Rhino poly surfaces. If you don't know where to download the 3D buildings files I'm using,
00:14go to topoexport.com. You can easily find your 3D buildings from anywhere in the world. The link
00:21of the app is in the description of this video. Let's get started. To make things clear,
00:28I will double click on the perspective view and switch to shaded display mode. As you can see,
00:35the buildings are currently meshes. You can't use Rhino tools like move faces on them because of that.
00:43So here's what we'll do. First we will hide all the layers except buildings layer.
00:51Then I right click on the building layer and choose select objects. Next type the command
00:58mesh to nrps. The nrps surfaces are now created. Both the mesh and the nrps are still overlapping.
01:07I will show you by moving the mesh upward. Since we don't need to keep the mesh,
01:15I will delete it by pressing the delete key on my keyboard. Now I will simplify the nrps surfaces.
01:23I select all the buildings again and type the command merge all coplanar faces.
01:32And here we go, all the buildings are now cleaned and easy to work with.
01:36Thanks for watching, leave a like and subscribe for more Rhino tutorials.
