00:00How to download and import a Digital Terra model DTM in Rhino
00:05Hello everyone, in this video, I will show you how to download and import a Digital Terra model DTM in Rhino
00:12If you don't know where to download your 3D CT model, you can use a website called TopoExport
00:19The link is in the description
00:21With this website, you can choose the location you need and the type of data you want to download
00:28You can then preview your 2D map and your 3D model for example
00:36And then download it
00:44Once the file is downloaded, I will place it on my desktop
00:53Then I right-click and select Extract
00:58The file we are interested in is named TopoExport Modeling
01:07It contains the 3D model
01:09I also download the 2D file, but we won't use it in this tutorial
01:13To open the .dxf in Rhino, I right-click on it and choose Rhino
01:19My file is now open, I can double-click on the perspective view to display it full screen
01:29Next, I will change the display mode to Arctic to better see the export definition
01:34I will also change the 3 layer in green color
01:40And here we go
01:41As you can see, all the layers available on TopoExport are included in the final file
01:52Contour lines, buildings, trees, roads, cadastres, waterways, railways, green area, and ground
02:04The terrain is meshed every 2 meters exactly as selected in TopoExport
