Meerut: Panic gripped the Medical Emergency campus after the driver of a neurologist, allegedly under the influence of intoxicants, went on a reckless rampage at Gate No. 3.
The driver damaged several vehicles and violently crashed into an ambulance, leaving bystanders terrified. Witnesses said many people narrowly escaped being hit. The driver was reportedly so intoxicated he could not even sit properly inside the car.
On receiving the alert, the neurologist rushed from the OT to the scene.
Meerut Police confirmed that a case has been registered at Medical Police Station under relevant sections and legal action is underway.
