The Public Works Department on Wednesday (Sept 17) announced the closure of Jalan Gua Musang–Lojing at KM78, after a sinkhole was detected on Sept 12.

00:00The Public Works Department, JKR, on Wednesday announced the closure of Jalan Guamusang
00:07lodging at Kilometer 78 after a sinkhole was detected on September 12.
00:12In a statement, JKR said the road will remain closed until further notice.
00:17Motorists are advised to use the alternative route from Guamusang to Sungai Koyan in Pahang
00:23via Ringlet, Tapa and Ipo in Perak.
00:26Kelantan JKR Director Nik Soyakub said the sinkhole, measuring about 0.1 metres deep
00:33and 15 metres long, appeared near Kampung Jekjok, Posbrook.
00:38The sinkhole is believed to have been caused by underground water flow and drainage issues,
00:42compounded by continuous heavy rainfall, which increased the risk of ground subsidence.
00:48JKR said it is closely monitoring the area and has implemented a traffic management plan
00:54to ensure the safety of road users.
