The car that fell into a sinkhole along Tanjong Katong Road South in Singapore was hoisted out with a crane on July 27, as work continues to repair the road and reopen it to traffic, reported The Straits Times.

00:12The Straits Times reported that MP for the Marine Parade Bradel Heights Group representation
00:17constituency, Go Pei Ming, visited the site on Sunday.
00:21He told the media that National Water Agency PUB had assessed the ground to be stable.
00:26He said the sinkhole had to be drained slowly so the authorities can assess how the ground
00:31responds to the water being extracted.
00:34The report said that repair work at the site is ongoing, and the Land Transport Authority
00:38did not say when the repair work will be completed or when the road will be reopened to traffic.
00:45The road stretch between Mountbatten Road and East Coast Parkway remains closed.
00:50The sinkhole formed at around 5.50 p.m. on Saturday, causing the car to fall in.
00:55Workers at a construction site said they managed to pull the car driver out of the sinkhole.
01:05Mountbatten MP Gosee Key said the driver is in hospital for observation and has experienced
01:11muscular pain.
01:13The incident had taken place adjacent to a work site of the PUB.
01:18Local residents had said there was a burst water pipe in the same area the night before
