00:00so
00:02Dijak's leaving
00:03WWE tomorrow
00:05what
00:07welcome to the rest of the talk
00:09breaking news I'm Pete Quinnell if it's your first time here
00:12subscribe like etc here's the
00:14news though Dijak
00:16as in recently called up during
00:18the draft Dijak
00:19is now leaving
00:21WWE he put up
00:24a post
00:25on X he did a tweet
00:28let's be real
00:28dated today June 27th
00:32I'm going to read out in full here we go you ready
00:34says it's just a screenshot of
00:36a letter with him signing the bottom
00:37and the letter says this here's the truth
00:39WWE never negotiated
00:42with me we attempted to negotiate
00:44and they stonewalled us they never made me
00:46a single offer then they informed me
00:48that they would not renew my contract at
00:50the 11th hour two months ago
00:52I was in one of the best matches in NXT history
00:54and a top match of Wrestlemania weekend
00:56on that day a top executive
00:58in WWE told me I was
00:59crushing it that is in quotation marks
01:02I was slated to feud for the
01:04NXT title but I got called up to
01:05Raw instead
01:06I consistently outperformed everyone's expectations
01:09especially throughout 2023 and
01:11early 2024 I never complained
01:13about anything or was difficult to work with
01:15I tirelessly pitched
01:17ideas to anyone who would listen as
01:19recently as the day before I was notified
01:21I never once missed a booking
01:23and I was injured one time in seven years
01:25for three months
01:26I'm thankful
01:27disappointed
01:28but also excited
01:29this has lit a fire under me
01:31to relentlessly prove myself to the world
01:33all I ever wanted was a fair shot
01:35and now I have the opportunity to go out
01:37and take it
01:37that's enough talk
01:38now it's time to do
01:40or die
01:41Jack
01:41that's a very good pun
01:43my last day under a WWE contract
01:45is June 28th
01:472024
01:47bookings and interviews
01:49bookdijack.gmail.com
01:50get ready
01:50to feast
01:51your effing eyes
01:53signed
01:54Donovan Dijack
01:55this makes me
01:57very excited
01:58now this is
01:59kind of crazy
02:00in like the
02:01Paul Levesque era
02:02Dijack feels like a very
02:03Paul Levesque kind of guy
02:04but the fact that they didn't even
02:06negotiate with him at all
02:07is very unlike WWE
02:08they've had a couple of
02:09you know
02:10contract issues in the past
02:11like when Malachi Black
02:13was released
02:15and then he
02:16had a 30 day non-compete
02:17instead of a 90 day non-compete
02:18and there was stuff with
02:20Buddy Matthews
02:21and stuff like that
02:22there's a few different contract things
02:23there was some with
02:24Adam Cole
02:24had to work with an extension
02:26because his contract just expired
02:28and they didn't renew it
02:29so there's been some contract things
02:31in the past
02:31but those people who've been responsible
02:33I believe
02:34don't quote me on this
02:35I believe that they were
02:36they had since
02:37gone from the company
02:38they've been released
02:39they've been let go
02:40they've left
02:41and they kind of
02:41didn't want to have
02:42these situations happen again
02:43so this feels like
02:44this isn't an error
02:45this isn't a mistake
02:46on WWE's part
02:48of not negotiating with Dijak
02:50this is something that
02:51they've actively chosen to do
02:52they're happy to let Dijak go
02:55which as Dijak points out
02:57in his letter
02:57is kind of crazy
02:58considering how
02:59well respected he's been
03:00in the last
03:01you know
03:01year or so in NXT
03:03he's been kind of
03:04killing it honestly
03:05and having some fantastic matches
03:07the fact that he's
03:09put up with a lot of
03:11nonsense
03:11you know
03:12when it was
03:12Dominik Dijakovic
03:14and then
03:14retribution
03:15was a thing that he was a part of
03:17and you know
03:18to not even push back on that
03:20to be easy to work with
03:22even in spite of
03:23retribution booking
03:24is admirable
03:26and if this is all
03:27absolutely true
03:28and WWE didn't negotiate
03:30that's crazy
03:31that's a crazy situation
03:33to be in
03:34but on a separate note though
03:37Dijak did tag some people
03:40in this tweet
03:41he tagged
03:43Tony Khan
03:44AEW
03:45TNA
03:46Tommy Dreamer
03:47and New Japan Pro Wrestling
03:48so already
03:49man's ready
03:51for any future bookings
03:53coming his way
03:54I am so excited
03:57to see Dijak go do some stuff
03:58because I don't know
03:59if you guys remember
04:00his pre-signing to WWE
04:02pre-NXT
04:03Dijak vs Keith Lee
04:05was like
04:06the match
04:08right
04:08that they would be
04:09booked together
04:10to have their match
04:11go around
04:12and that's why
04:12it was so important
04:13to them in NXT
04:14when they had their match
04:14at like TakeOver Portland
04:15for example
04:16that was like
04:17the culmination
04:18of their
04:19indie runs
04:20coming together
04:20putting on this
04:21great match at NXT
04:22that was like
04:23the next step
04:24in their careers
04:25right
04:25now having Dijak
04:27with years more experience
04:29be let loose
04:31from WWE
04:31when a lot of people
04:32were really excited
04:33to see what Dijak
04:33could do on the main roster
04:35now to let that go
04:37to let him go out
04:37on the indies
04:38and to see Dijak
04:39hopefully go and tear it up
04:40like we've seen
04:41quite a lot of releases
04:43from WWE
04:43in the past year
04:44or people that have left
04:45contract expiration
04:46or releases
04:48or otherwise
04:48they've been
04:49kind of killing it
04:50like you know
04:51Mason Mansour
04:53they've been
04:54crushing it since
04:55Nick Nemeth
04:55went to New Japan
04:56and TNA
04:57the Hardys leaving AEW
04:59they've gone to TNA
05:00there's a lot of like
05:01there's
05:02it seems like
05:03there's a lot of places
05:04for talent to go
05:05and be paid well
05:06and to showcase
05:08their talents
05:08a lot more
05:09in recent wrestling times
05:12than in the past
05:12and I have no doubt
05:14in my mind
05:15that Dijak
05:15will get a ton
05:16of bookings
05:16Dijak will have
05:17a ton of places
05:18to go
05:18and showcase
05:20his talent
05:21which is
05:22huge
05:23I think
05:24his talent
05:24is massive
05:25people were always
05:26excited to see
05:27what Dijak
05:27could do
05:27and it always felt
05:28like he just
05:28hadn't quite
05:29reached that next
05:30level in NXT
05:31or in the main roster
05:32or otherwise
05:33and
05:34it feels like
05:35he's had that
05:36kind of hard
05:37reset in NXT
05:37when he went back
05:38to NXT
05:39post-retribution
05:40and was renamed
05:40to Dijak
05:41that felt like
05:42the reset
05:43right
05:44this is like
05:44okay
05:44now we're getting
05:45the Donovan Dijak
05:47run in NXT
05:48and hopefully
05:49on the main roster
05:50and it looked like
05:50we were going that way
05:51in the draft
05:52when he got called up
05:53as Dijak
05:54but clearly
05:55that's not what's
05:57happened
05:57where would you guys
05:59want to see
05:59Dijak end up
06:00leave a comment
06:01down below
06:02because I think
06:03there are loads
06:04of places
06:04he could go
06:05that would be
06:05really interesting
06:06as well
06:06because you know
06:07I believe
06:09all the spots
06:10have been taken
06:10for G1 this year
06:11but if Dijak
06:11can get in the
06:11G1 somehow
06:12please
06:13you know
06:15there is a
06:15wild card
06:16in the Owen
06:17love to see
06:20Dijak take that
06:21or
06:21this forbidden
06:22door this weekend
06:23like Dijak
06:25could just show up
06:26because that's the thing
06:26this isn't a release
06:27there isn't a 99
06:28non-complete
06:29a non-compete clause
06:30here
06:30this is
06:31a contract expiration
06:33which means
06:33as of like
06:34June 29th
06:37Dijak will be free
06:38to take any bookings
06:39so he could just show up
06:41ASAP
06:42in any company
06:43I honestly
06:44would not be surprised
06:45if we see Dijak
06:46make an appearance
06:47at forbidden door
06:48if he just turns up
06:49maybe at the end of the show
06:51or maybe on the dynamite
06:52after
06:53has like
06:54a stare down
06:55with
06:55Swerve
06:56or Osprey
06:57or something
06:57just to have like
06:59a great match
07:00he doesn't even have to
07:01like you know
07:01win the title
07:02or anything like that
07:02but something to have
07:03like a great match
07:04would be such a cool way
07:05to kick off his run
07:06if they can somehow
07:08shoehorn a Keith Lee
07:09thing in
07:09I wouldn't complain
07:11because I think
07:12that would be really cool
07:13but
07:14regardless
07:15I think whatever he does
07:17he is going to
07:18absolutely land on his feet
07:20and I think he has
07:21an immeasurable wealth
07:22of talent
07:23that he is
07:25absolutely going to
07:26display in the very
07:27near future
07:27and everyone will be
07:28questioning why
07:29WWE let him go
07:30because I think
07:32he is going to
07:34ratio WWE
07:35and he's going to
07:37make sure that
07:38they made an error
07:40when they did not
07:41negotiate with him
07:42man
07:44this is crazy
07:45we've heard of a lot
07:47of contracts aspiring
07:48but generally we know
07:49in advance when they're
07:49coming up
07:50and we know
07:51generally where
07:53the winds are blobbing
07:54in terms of them
07:54residing and not
07:55this one has come out
07:56of absolutely nowhere
07:57you know having been
07:58called up in the draft
07:59to then not being used
08:01at all
08:02to then
08:03I'm off now
08:04is
08:05a wild few months
08:07I'm super excited
08:09to see Dijak
08:09get to spread his wings
08:10and do some cool stuff
08:12can't wait to see
08:13more of him
