00:00I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
01:30Hello.
01:32Excuse me, Your Highness. May I join you?
01:35Please.
01:46Professor, have you had beans or anything?
01:48How come, Your Highness?
01:49Because the locals say that if you want to enter sulfuric waters, you shouldn't have eaten beans and stuff like that.
01:55Your Highness, no, I didn't. You saw for yourself that I only ate the fish.
01:59I warned you.
02:00Your Highness, as far as I know, the locals say if you send the bride to swim in sulfuric waters, she'll give birth to a boy.
02:07How come?
02:07They say a woman shouldn't send her daughter to swim in these waters. She has to send her daughter-in-law so she can have sons.
02:14Well, that doesn't make sense. A daughter-in-law must have had a mother.
02:18Your Highness, this way of thinking isn't based on logical thought.
02:21I'm sure it isn't.
02:23Well, there must be a goddess in the water, calling on the brides to be taken there.
02:28And how come this goddess can't tell the difference between a daughter and a daughter-in-law?
02:32I just don't understand it.
02:34Your Highness, neither do I.
02:36Perhaps the hidden goddess should ask for ID.
02:38What is this under my foot?
02:41What is it, Your Highness?
02:44Let me find out what it is for you.
02:54It's a coin.
02:58Didn't you clean this place yesterday? And what is this coin doing in the water?
03:02Your Highness, you have to forgive me. I cleaned this place yesterday and disinfected it as well.
03:06But the locals have their own customs and traditions.
03:09Every time they come in here, they have to throw a rock or a coin in the water and make a wish.
03:14Please forgive me.
03:14All right, then. To make their wish come true, we have to throw it in the water again.
03:19Us doctors have studied all these years to cure the people.
03:23And then superstition and ignorance are still following us everywhere.
03:26Doctor, these wishes aren't only made for medical reasons, such as to cure people of disease.
03:31They might also be because of the problems that they have.
03:33It makes no difference. It's all superstition and ignorance.
03:36I don't doubt just how ignorant these beliefs are, but that's the point, don't you see?
03:40That's why doctors aren't there only to cure diseases.
03:43They also have to pay attention to their patients' lives, their thoughts and beliefs.
03:47Do we have any of these doctors here in our country?
03:50Yes. A good example of this kind of doctor is our own Dr. Karib.
03:54The professor has given a tame and glorious example.
03:57Either way, where is Dr. Karib?
03:59He wasn't feeling well and went back to Tehran.
04:01Wasn't he supposed to make a speech tomorrow?
04:03He was, but he asked me to apologize to the head of the Congress on his behalf.
04:07Are you tired? Are you feeling sleepy?
04:23The truth is, yes, Zari.
04:25Well, why did we have to rush off to Tehran anyway?
04:29We could have got a room in Ramsar, a hotel or something.
04:33We could have rested a bit.
04:34No, it's Yaya's fault, that's all.
04:36He kept insisting and insisting that we go to Tehran.
04:39It doesn't matter whose fault it is.
04:41It's really dangerous.
04:43It's night and you're sleepy.
04:45Let's go back to Ramsar.
04:46We'll get a room and rest and leave in the morning.
04:48Dr. Faramazi, to the reception desk, please.
05:11Dr. Faramazi, to the reception desk.
05:13What's wrong?
05:20What's wrong, Mabba?

05:22Dr. Faramazi, come here.
05:24Turn around and let me see.
05:25Turn around.
05:27Turn around.
05:27Zari, what's wrong?
05:31Nothing.
05:32My heart just started beating fast.
05:34It's nothing.
05:35Take your mother to the clinic and have her blood checked and give her a heart scan.
05:39She needs an IV too.
05:40Hurry up.
05:40Take father to his room.
05:42Mother, get up and come with me.
05:44Now, here, be careful.
05:45Okay, okay.
05:55Hello.
05:56Hello.
05:57Hello.
05:57Hello.
05:58Hello.
05:58Please stop it, Mohsen.
06:11Stop.
06:12What health?
06:13There's not one part in this body of mine that's still healthy for me to worry about.
06:18That's true, but it's my duty to take care of you.
06:20Our friends weren't kind.
06:22They weren't kind at all.
06:23I'm to blame too.
06:24I shouldn't have let you leave the hospital.
06:26Is everything else okay?
06:29Dr. Farouk's taken care of everything.
06:31I'm good.
06:32Let me take a look.
06:35Please, ma'am, can you wait over there?
06:36Go on.
06:46Ms. Shabazi, set a time for an endoscopy for the doctor.
06:49Yes, doctor.
06:51Endoscopy?
06:52Why do you think you can just do whatever you want to me?
06:55What's the need for an endoscopy?
06:57Doctor, I owe it to your family to do whatever I think is necessary.
07:00I'll come back and see you.
07:07I don't, make him change his mind, please.
07:10I'm still paying for the professor's unnecessary operations.
07:14God help me.
07:16I can't interfere in what your son-in-law's doing.
07:18Just rest for now.
07:20Excuse me.
07:21Excuse me, doctor.
07:22The drip's ready.
07:23Call the laboratory.
07:28See what happened to the doctor's blood infusion.
07:33Ask them how much blood they have.
07:37Hello, laboratory.
07:39Hello.
07:40I'm Dr. Farok.
07:41I'm calling about the blood reserve for Dr. Garib.
07:46O-negative.
07:47Two units?
07:49So the blood...
07:49What's he say?
07:50He says there are only two units of O-negative.
07:52Wait a second.
07:53Look, we need eight units of O-negative blood immediately.
07:56It's an emergency.
07:58What do you mean you can't?
07:59We need it.
07:59Excuse me, doctor.
08:01Hold on a second.
08:01Yes?
08:02Well, call the supervisor.

09:08She tripped on the end of the bed.
09:10Shut up.

09:51It's nothing serious.
09:52She's okay.
09:53What about the heart scan?

09:55We took care of it.
09:56They took the test, too.
09:57She has an IV and she's busy resting.
09:59Mawson's with her.
10:01Your attention.
10:02Your attention.
10:03We need volunteers with O-negative blood to donate some blood from Professor Garib.
10:09We ask our dear colleagues with this blood time to please come to the reception counter.
10:13Why are they making such a big deal of it, Hussain?
10:16It's only two units of blood.
10:17They only need to ask a couple of people.
10:19Father, please.
10:20Please don't worry about these small things.
10:22Who cares about them?

14:42She's sleeping peacefully.
14:43This is way too much.
14:44Where's Mariam?
14:45She's near Shadan's room.

14:55Tell Mariam to wait
14:57until her mother's bed
14:58and then go with Mohsen.
15:00By the way,
15:01did Mariam give blood?
15:03No.
15:03Why?
15:04Dad,
15:04it was so crowded.
15:06Didn't even get to Mariam.
15:08Oh.
15:10They told a lot of people
15:11to go away too.
15:13They said they don't need
15:14any more blood.
15:14Well,
15:16Dad,
15:16I'm going now
15:17and please don't
15:18leave the hospital again.
15:18These past few days
15:19have been hard on you.
15:20Do you understand?
15:21Where do I have to go?
15:22That poor thing died too.
15:25Bye, Father.
15:26Goodbye.
15:26Where are you going?
15:27I'm going to the hospital.
15:28Goodbye.
15:29Where are you going?
15:29I got orange juice.
15:30I don't want any.
15:31Stay here and leave
15:32with Mohsen and Mom.
15:33Okay.
15:33Okay.
15:34Would you like some orange juice?
15:35Thank you very much.
15:36They say it was really crowded.
15:38Yes,
15:38you wouldn't believe it.
15:40Everyone had come
15:40to give blood for you.
15:42Even Chardon's mother
15:43came to give blood.
15:44Why her?
15:45She's pregnant,
15:46isn't she?
15:46I know.
15:47They didn't allow her to.
15:49I'm not bad,
15:50thank you.
15:52Is Mom's listening?
15:53Yes,
15:53she is.
15:54I want to wash my hands.
15:57Here,
15:57have this.
15:59In the end,
16:00the unwanted guest
16:02arrived.
16:03It arrived
16:04with small pains
16:05at first.
16:07Sometimes it was
16:08too much to take
16:09and would scare
16:09everyone.
16:11And sometimes
16:12it would go away
16:13and everyone
16:14would breathe
16:15a sigh of relief.
16:17But,
16:17in a family
16:18that's made up
16:19of mostly doctors,
16:20how long
16:21can you just
16:22fool yourself
16:23and say,
16:24this will go away?
16:27It's as if
16:28it's waiting,
16:29waiting around
16:30the corner
16:31and watching you.
16:33It makes no difference,
16:34young or old,
16:36child.
16:37It makes no difference
16:38if it's
16:39little Chardon
16:40or an adult
16:42or any other
16:43unfortunate child.
16:46It's now the year
16:471971.
16:48If I want to tell you
16:50the tale of sadness,
16:51it's a very long one.
16:54It'll take me
16:54a thousand years
16:56to tell you
16:57about only one
16:58of those thousands.
17:01Thousands of years.
17:06You have a pain?
17:07You have a pain.
17:08One-
17:20Two-
