00:00Saw you say last night the most important takeaway for you
00:03was that this team is not front-running.
00:08And so I'm interested in what you saw from Drake yesterday.
00:13Well, I mean, again, to touch on your point,
00:15that's how some of these games go.
00:17We'd love to be up 30-3.
00:19And if they are, then we'll plan accordingly and we'll be okay.
00:23But, you know, you get into these back and forth
00:26and you have to just believe that you're going to make enough plays
00:29in the end to win.
00:31And I felt like we did that.
00:32And that was good to see.
00:33I think we needed to see it.
00:34Our players needed to see it and feel it and be in there and say,
00:37hey, we could have a couple bad plays.
00:39Somebody's going to make a play, which we did numerous times.
00:43So we answered back.
00:45Drake was very efficient.
00:47It was something that we've talked about for a long time,
00:50is just putting the ball where you're supposed to put it,
00:52where it needs to go based on their coverage and our scheme.
00:55And I thought he did that.
00:56I thought he transferred into the pocket well.
01:00Being on the silent count, good edge rushers,
01:03guys with good get-off, thought we blocked the games.
01:06There was a lot of keys that we had.
01:07Not a lot, but a couple keys in all three phases.
01:10And I felt like we hit those for the most part.
01:13Mike, we all look at, like, those elite playmakers on offense.
01:17But this is another week where your defensive front seven
01:22are able to affect the game and get after the quarterback.
01:25You lead the league in sacks.
01:27And granted, it's only two weeks, but you've consistently shown,
01:31especially in crucial situations, you can make it uncomfortable.
01:35How much of a major factor is that for just your football team in general
01:39when you have that capability at the end of the game?
01:42Yeah, and they played – they were going hard, and it was hot.
01:45I mean, it was hot.
01:46That one was real yesterday, and I appreciated everybody's efforts in the game
01:50and everybody that played or everybody that dressed contributed.
01:54So that was great to see.
01:57And to be able to continue to, I guess, affect the quarterback
02:00and get them to a second read, trying to tie the coverage in.
02:04And the X plays are something that we'll have to continue to focus on.
02:08But when we had to, I felt like we got the drive stop.
02:11That was either after a drive of theirs that we forced them to kick a field goal
02:15or we were able to get the drive stop before a field goal.
02:19Leading up to this game, when it comes to your defense, though,
02:21how important was it for the guys to show up for each other
02:24and for the team in the absence of Terrell?
02:27Like, for you, did you feel like they did that for him?
02:31No, I hope that they didn't.
02:33I hope they did it for each other.
02:34And I don't think that Terrell would want that either.
02:37I think that they are beginning to understand each other
02:41and how everything works, and, you know, each week is a new challenge.
02:45And so I hope that they did that for them
02:48and that they played hard for them
02:50and that they were selfless for each other.
02:53I think that's the whole goal.
02:54But did you feel like the preparation,
02:56they were able to achieve exactly what Terrell would want them to achieve
02:59going into that game?
03:00Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
