00:00Thought the Bears were going to beat the Vikings on Monday Night Football, and I was wrong.
00:04Vikings came all the way back to win that game.
00:07Someone, Mike, this week is not going to feel very good about themselves.
00:10A lot of folks were on the Bears, hopping on the win total, hopping on the chance to make the playoffs.
00:15They're six and a half point underdogs this week against the Lions.
00:18The Lions did not look anything like the Lions of last season.
00:22I would not expect them to win, but hey, like put up 20 or something like that.
00:26Total 47 and a half in this game.
00:29Is this the get-right-Lions game, or are the Lions just not right?
00:35I don't think this is a good spot for the Bears, to be honest.
00:38The Lions and Jared Goff, historically, I think this is a little bit forgotten because there was a good amount of hype going into that Packers-Lions game.
00:47It was somewhat forgotten that Jared Goff's numbers on the road aren't great.
00:51These outdoor games for him, even though it was a sunny day in September, these outdoor games for him are not his best venue.
00:58He's going to go back indoors where we'll see if they can get right to your point.
01:04Now, it is worth noting, again, and I'm sure you've mentioned it, I certainly have, a thousand times.
01:10The Lions lost eight coaches during the offseason, including their offensive and defensive coordinator.
01:17It is a reason why I don't think they're going to get to the Super Bowl as good as I think they still are.
01:23And does John Morton, their offensive coordinator, is he able to scheme them right back into a good game?
01:30I trust that he will.
01:31I think it's a good spot for them.
01:33The Bears are still pretty banged up in the secondary.
01:37So I think the Caleb Williams haters are going to have another week to celebrate.
01:44It won't necessarily be his fault, but the Bears are going to have to try to get after Jared Goff in a way that they may not be able to.
01:51And on the flip side, the Bears have to do a better job.
01:55You can blame Caleb all you want, and he absolutely sailed a bunch of throws and didn't play well in the second half.
02:01But they have to protect him better.
02:03If the season looks the way it did in the second half of that game, it doesn't really matter who the quarterback is.
02:09And people will think that Caleb is toast when it may not in reality be his fault.
