When he was 27 years old, he relocated to Costa Rica to train employees for one of the larger call centers in San Jose. With a mix of motivational public speaking style backed by tactful and appropriate rhetoric, Richard shared his knowledge and trained over 10 000 bilingual telemarketers. Richard Blank has the largest collection of restored American Pinball machines and antique Rockola Jukeboxes in Central America making gamification a strong part of CCC culture.Richard Blank is the Chief Executive Officer for Costa Rica’s Call Center since 2008.

00:00well perfect you know i want to ask uh one last question at least give you one last opportunity
00:04to share with my audience what tips tools or techniques or parting thought would you like
00:12to share with your fellow ceos that might help them or brighten their day based on your background
00:19what i love are positive escalations because ceos are c-levels calling into certain offices if you
00:25have a chance to speak to a gatekeeper an assistant take the extra time not only to ask their name but
00:31ask how their company is doing that day because that person's involved as well and when you get
00:36transferred to the decision maker that you have this relationship why don't you let them know
00:42that they have some rock stars working at their company do it verbally when you send an email
00:47do it written as well we call those positive escalations and so when you happen to call
00:52back that company besides having that established relationship or budding relationship the individual
00:57answering that call will then once again circle back and let you know how appreciative that they are
01:04and tell you more about the company culture or just spend an extra minute just to chat up with you
01:08because most people bypass no way and you and i stop for a second as gentlemen and we ask somebody's name
01:16because people are not nameless and that's the advice i could give to ceos they'll pass your call but
01:22why don't we give a gift of letting the other ceos know that they have amazing people working with them
