00:00I'm finally starting to figure out why people are mean and rude all the time. When someone feels
00:04powerless in their own life, like they feel invisible, insecure, ignored, or just not good
00:09enough, judging someone else gives them a small moment where they feel like they're better than
00:13you. Because I honestly think most people who are mean aren't happy with their own life. They're not
00:17busy enjoying their day or focused on their own goals. They're people who feel bad inside. And
00:22when someone feels empty, like they don't get enough attention, or maybe they feel left out or
00:26just not good enough, they try to feel better by putting someone else down. It distracts them
00:30from how bad they feel about themselves. And the crazy part is, science actually proves it. When
00:36someone puts another person down, it activates the part of their brain that makes them feel good.
00:41And this only happens in people who already feel bad about themselves and carry a lot of shame. And
00:46that's why it becomes such a habit for them. Because for a few seconds, they actually feel like they're
00:51better than you, that their life is amazing. The pain they have inside just kind of goes away for a
00:55little bit. So of course, they keep doing it again and again. So now when someone intentionally
01:00tries to make me feel bad, I'm learning not to let it get to my heart because I used to take it
01:04very personally. But now it's like, you just don't know how to feel good without putting someone else
01:09down. That's kind of sad. And I'd rather feel sad for someone than feel sad for myself. And I'm really
01:14done feeling bad for myself because of other people.
