00:00Hi, everyone. I am Jun Godorines. I'm currently the Resource Development Director of World Vision in the Philippines.
00:06I am truly honored to be one of the recipients of the Icons of Change Award in 2025.
00:13Coming from a background of public administration, I have always asked myself,
00:18how can I use my passion, my experience, and skills to really make a difference for others,
00:24especially for the least, the lost, and the last in our society?
00:30That question crafted my career journey and eventually led me to World Vision,
00:35where I had the privilege of serving children, families, and communities for many years now.
00:41What inspires me most is that this work is never done alone.
00:47Real change happens when partnerships with like-minded individuals,
00:51with companies that share their talents and resources for a greater purpose,
00:55with churches that stand with us in faith,
00:58and with schools that nurture the next generation of doers and givers.
01:03Together, we walk alongside children, giving them the support and opportunities they need to live with hope, joy, and dignity.
01:12This year's United Nations theme, the International Year of Peace and Trust, speaks deeply to me.
01:18In my work with World Vision, I've seen that peace begins when we care for the most vulnerable in our society,
01:25especially the children, when we show respect to every member of our community
01:30and help allocate resources where they are most needed.
01:35We let justice thrive.
01:37Every time we help a child go to school or empower a family,
01:41we are building trust and shaping a better future.
01:44My commitment has always been to use leadership and innovation for social transformation
01:50aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
01:53Because at the heart of it all, I believe every child deserves to experience life in all its fullness.
