It's a common complaint across Melbourne’s booming outer suburbs. Shops, roads, schools and footpaths all appear on glossy marketing material but not in real life. The consumer affairs minister has asked for a review of the laws to make sure developers aren't being misleading.

00:21And we're setting up these new communities for failure at the very start itself.

00:52We want those people protected. However it's done, show us the legislation, show us the regulation
00:58and then enforce it. Protect them.
