00:00Start with us here, Keith, the expectations of these golfers
00:03and how this actual tournament sets up with the place that they're playing.
00:07Well, guys, here's the underlying story right now.
00:10The top 100 get their tour cards for next year.
00:12We've got two events left on the PGA Tour.
00:14So if you travel to Bermuda, you are concerned about that top 100 cut line
00:19on the FedExCup points list.
00:20The guys that are out there, yes, not necessarily the greatest strength of field,
00:24only nine players in the top 100 in the world.
00:27Recent winner Michael Brennan is the lowest ranked guy at 40.
00:30But you know what?
00:31There is a lot of subplots going on.
00:33Last year, we had the winner Rafael Campos, never won before,
00:36hadn't made a cut in like all of 2024, and he broke through.
00:40The year before, Camilo Vajegas.
00:41This event gives us a lot of suspense, a lot of drama,
00:45and with the weather they have concocted this weekend out there
00:47and the forecast, I mean, these guys playing there on the west coast
00:51of Bermuda are going to have their hands full
00:53and a lot of pressure to go along with it.
00:55Yeah, it's funny, Keith.
00:58Last time we talked to you, we said, you know, this little mini season
01:02is a good time to get some of these guys at 100 to 1.
01:05You know, thanks, Ben Griffin.
01:07Appreciate that last week.
01:08But am I missing something here, Keith?
01:126,800 yards for a PGA Tour event?
01:14Like, what is with this golf course here?
01:16What's going to win it?
01:1730 under?
01:18Well, Joe, I mean, let's not jump out of your chair down there in Florida, okay?
01:22You know, places like Pebble Beach, these coastal golf courses,
01:25that can be weather-affected.
01:27They have to be a little bit on the shorter side.
01:29I mean, last week it was 7,400 yards, and the guy shot 29 under.
01:32So, you know, don't get too hung up on the length.
01:36By the way, you know, I don't begrudge Ben Griffin
01:38in the three-putt at the Pro Corps when we did have him.
01:41I begrudge him now because Garrick Higgo hit it in the weeds,
01:44and I hit him last week.
01:45I digress.
01:46Let's move on to Bermuda.
01:48But here's the deal, right?
01:49Don't get caught up on the 6,800 yards are the par 71.
01:52This golf course, right?
01:54A couple of Keith's keys for you guys.
01:56You can get yourself in trouble here in the wind.
01:59Very, very hilly.
02:00You know, Bermuda as an island is the top of a volcano.
02:03That's the rim there that is the surface of the actual grass.
02:07It's super hilly, the terrain, and this wind that we keep talking about
02:11or I'm alluding to, it's going to be 20, 30-plus miles an hour
02:14over the weekend, right?
02:15It's coming out of the West.
02:17Well, I got good news for you, Joe.
02:19The golf course sits on the West Coast.
02:21That's actually bad news.
02:22These guys are going to get blown away on that back nine.
02:25It's going to be super challenging.
02:26So for Keith's keys this week, I'm definitely looking at a birdie to bogey ratio.
02:30They're going to make tons of birdies, but they got to stay away from those bogeys.
02:33The second thing is, is that approach play has been the thing here,
02:37and especially with your wedge.
02:38Now, you talk about the length of this golf course.
02:41It's short.
02:41So you end up with a lot of short clubs that hit the ball what?
02:44High.
02:45And it's windy.
02:46So that's kind of the crux of the issue here, the challenge that these guys face.
02:49They have to be able to flight their wedges.
02:51They have to be able to control their spin.
02:53And then the third thing is, is that this is grainy island Bermuda grass.
02:57Much like the Pass Palum last week in Mexico,
02:59these guys have got to be able to put Bermuda, you know,
03:02the guys that are good down in Florida,
03:03the guys that are good on these coastal golf courses like Sea Island next week,
03:07those are the guys that were interested.
03:08Those are three Keith's keys for this week.
