00:00The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has asked the Home Ministry to cancel the passport of Bersatu President Muhyiddin Yassin's son-in-law Adlan Berhan.
00:10MACC Chief Commissioner Azam Baki said efforts were ongoing to track down Adlan,
00:16who is being sought by the Antigraf Agency to assist in a probe into a ministry's foreign worker biometric data project.
00:24He said the Commission filed the application yesterday and hoped that the Home Ministry will approve the application, Berita Harian reported.
00:32He said Adlan is believed to be in a West Asian country with which Malaysia has no extradition agreement,
00:38but they are trying to negotiate with the said country on how to bring him back.
00:43Adlan and his lawyer Mansur Sa'ad are being sought by MACC to assist in an investigation into a project involving the registration,
00:51recruitment, and storage of foreign worker biometric data at a ministry.
00:57Although MACC previously indicated that Adlan and Mansur had left the country in May 2024,
01:03both men subsequently denied being on the run from the law.
