00:00Cubs, Padres, and Mets foregone conclusion from a betting perspective
00:03to make the National League wildcard.
00:05Do the Giants or Reds even stand a chance here?
00:09I mean, this little Giants run put them at least back into the conversation.
00:13A month ago, it looked like their season was not only over,
00:16but maybe wholesale changes coming there.
00:18Battling their way back into the mix or just a hot streak?
00:22I think the Giants are, and I probably wrote them off a little bit prematurely here.
00:26The Reds, man, I've wanted to believe,
00:28but that was a back-breaking loss there against San Diego,
00:32not being able to hold on to it and then losing in extra innings there.
00:34It's going to be tough, but every time I think they're about to fall out of it,
00:38they seem to fight back.
00:39But the Giants, this is a good team, right?
00:41I mean, you add Devers to the equation with Adamas,
00:44who's really been great in the second half, Matt Chapman,
00:46who's been phenomenal for them.
00:48And all of a sudden, you look at this offense across the board and say,
00:50they can mash.
00:51And then you look at the pitching and say,
00:53that was a bit of a question mark, but they've been getting it done.
00:56I could see them hanging around with just the star power,
00:59the veteran aspect of this team.
01:01And the fact that, you know,
01:02I don't think they feel like they're out of it at all either.
01:04And you look up at the Mets who have lost three in a row,
01:06who have just not been playing great ball over the last couple months.
01:09And even though they've got the talent,
01:11once they're in the playoffs, I'm not writing them off.
01:14I don't think anybody is also ruling out the idea that the Mets could collapse
01:17and give up a playoff spot here.
01:19Because as you know, that pressure mounts quickly in New York.
