00:00It does feel like, Jalen, the Royals, they tinkered a little bit in the offseason,
00:03but I think they just feel like if some of their younger guys take another step this season,
00:08maybe they are the 87 wins or the 88 wins this season.
00:12Yeah, you're absolutely right, Craig.
00:13I think the main thing with the Royals is they have to figure out a way to get these young
00:19players,
00:20specifically, like you said, Jack Caglione, Carter Jensen, to take the next step to get over that hump
00:26and to really provide the offense what they need and which they didn't really have last season.
00:31You look at the Royals for going back to even 2024, you get past Bobby Wade Jr.,
00:37Mikel Garcia, Vinny Pasquantino, Salvador Perez, you really were feeling good about yourself
00:43because five through nine wasn't producing in the way they should have produced.
00:47So the Royals counteracted that this offseason by getting Isaac Collins,
00:51which was a great player from the Milwaukee Brewers,
00:54and he was fourth in the National League Rookie of the Year voting.
00:57So he'll be the everyday left fielder.
00:58And then you're going to have a guy like Lane Thomas that can rove over all three positions,
01:03a veteran outfield presence.
01:05But the question is, is the offense, was that enough to, like you said, get past Cleveland,
01:11get past Detroit, compete against the Minnesota Twins?
01:15The same thing, even the Chicago White Sox are coming up this year.
01:18They had a really great offseason.
01:20So the Royals are in a division where it can be won.
01:23It is a possibility for them to win the division.
01:27They have great pitching.
01:28They have great starting rotation.
01:29They have a great bullpen.
01:31The question is going to be, do they do enough offensively this offseason
01:34to support the core four that I mentioned earlier?
01:37And will Jack Caglione and Carter Jensen give you that lift that you need
01:41when a player is going from their rookie year to their sophomore campaign?
01:45Oh, I won't let something of it be.
01:45So, let's in there.
