00:00Bristol Rovers' Brad Young has reflected on the Gasser's 3-2 win against Newport County on Saturday afternoon.
00:08The Pirates had been 3-0 up towards the closing stages of the match, but then Newport County managed to pull two goals back,
00:16with Young describing the end of the game as frantic because they were nearly pegged back for a draw.
00:22Yeah, frantic's one way to describe it. I think the last 10 minutes, we sort of shot ourselves in the foot away.
00:33If you look at the first goal, that gave them a bit of momentum. It came from our free kick.
00:38But look, 3-2 win away from home. Two away wins on the bounce, sorry. Yeah, they can't complain.
00:45Yeah, there couldn't really be two more different halves. Zero goals the first, five in the second, just action everywhere.
00:49What did change for both teams, really?
00:53I think, obviously, the derby game, the first half, we didn't get enough control on the game as we want.
01:00And then the second half, we said we need to get on the ball more, work opportunities, get LT on the ball.
01:05And when we'd done that, we kicked on, scored three goals.
01:08Obviously, we're disappointed not to keep the clean sheet, but the 3-2 win away from home in a derby, can't complain.
01:14And Bristol Rovers head coach, Daryl Clark, praised the supporters who followed their club
01:19away at Newport.
01:22It's a different story, isn't it? If that goes back to 3-3, but it's not.
01:25Three points, on the road, second away win.
01:28You know, something for us to build on.
01:29Fantastic support from the Gasheads today.
01:32Thank you for the support, and we move on to next week.
01:34Yeah, three league wins for the first time in three.
01:36Does that really show your intentions this season?
01:38Yeah, it's no intention. It's just win the next game.
01:40You know how I work now.
01:41You ask me silly questions after every game.
01:44I have to take a look. I shouldn't have a dig.
01:45But for me, it's just focusing on trying to win the next game.
01:49You know, you can go through three wins, don't count next Saturday at 3 o'clock.
01:52You know, you've got to try and win the next game or win the next football match.
01:54And that's the message I'm trying to get into my players.
01:56You have to win a certain amount of games to be successful each season.
01:59So that's three wins on the spin. Great.
02:01But that's gone. Now we focus on Barrow at home.
02:03And finally, you mentioned it there, but how big were the Gasheads today?
02:06Ah, listen, they're great.
02:07Listen, they support. They're getting that bit of belief back.
02:09There's a lot more to come from us.
02:11You know, there needs us to be.
02:13But another good three points on the road in the derby.
