00:00Bristol Rovers have completed their latest signing, which has seen Brad Young, the goalkeeper, arrive at the Memorial Stadium ahead of the new League 2 season, in which the Gats are looking for promotion.
00:12It's brilliant, the facilities are brilliant, Bristol is a lovely place to be, I'm just excited to get going now.
00:20And what made you want to come to Bristol Rovers?
00:22I think we speak with obviously the staff, speak with bits, there's a real project here, and something I want to be part of for my development and to go forward in the years, in the career.
00:33Yeah, Daryl Clark and Ricky Martin as well, what are the conversations like with them?
00:36No, it's all been really positive, we're all excited to get down, I think it's a bit of a reset that's happened, speaking of them, and we all can't wait to get going into pre-season, then going into the season, hopefully get a good year.
00:52And you've been part of some really fantastic goalkeeper unions so far in your career, how much has that helped you?
00:59No, I've massively worked with some big characters, big goalkeepers, it's definitely put me in good stead.
01:05And Bristol City's new goalkeeper Joe Lumley has said that he is looking to bring experience to the ranks at Bristol City in the dressing room at Ashton Gate for the upcoming championship season, and he has gained from his time not only in the championship being promoted, but also playing in the Premier League.
01:23Yeah, definitely. I've just found out, I think I'm one of the oldest in the changing room now, and makes a change really from not being young last year, but there was a few older lads.
01:35Always sort of classed myself as a young player, but now I've come in, I've got that experience, and hopefully that can be a sort of another string to my bow to push on, and yeah, be a sort of leader in the changing room, and I can do that, and I'm a big voice, and show my character and help the team out.
01:56You mentioned City's top six finish last season, you were part of Southampton's promotion winning side, the knowledge of that and how to get out of this league, that's going to be really important, isn't it?
02:05Oh, 100%. We all know it's a tough league, anyone can beat anyone. It's all about sort of staying grounded.
