00:00I ask you, though, Joe, should the Green Bay Packers be seen right now
00:04as the biggest threats to the Eagles in the NFC?
00:08I still don't believe so.
00:09They had a great week one performance.
00:11I'm not going to take away from it.
00:12I told you when we broke down the game as well,
00:14I wanted to see more out of Jordan Love in the passing attack.
00:17His number entering that game was 234.5.
00:20He finishes with 188.
00:22They score on their first three possessions.
00:24They build the 17-0 first half lead.
00:26And then they hold on to win basically by double digits.
00:30I didn't see adjustments in the second half,
00:32but they didn't really have to because Detroit was inept.
00:36And that was basically the problem for this matchup, losing by 14 points.
00:40The offense coordinator, the defense coordinator,
00:43making their first career starts were exposed in this matchup.
00:47And we talk about it.
00:48Continuity matters.
00:49You have to understand how this talent responds in game situations.
00:53Call a game plan around that talent.
00:55And sometimes it takes a while before you get into a rhythm.
00:59But Jordan Love was very clean with the football.
01:02They got the football to Jaden Reed,
01:04who was the non-existent man at the end of the regular season.
01:07We saw Josh Jacobs pound it for 66 yards.
01:11But again, Kev, I want to see four quarters of this.
01:15I don't want to see three drives where we score,
01:19Detroit makes adjustments, and then all of a sudden we pull it out.
01:23It's okay in week one, but big picture, that can't last.
01:27That's why I still believe the Eagles are the team to beat.
01:30I agree with you that the Eagles are the team to beat.
01:32And I, you know, Joe, this is something we are right now certainly very aligned on.
01:37I am not running to anoint Green Bay because I had questions about the Packers
01:42that had nothing that Parsons joining, okay, answered half of them.
01:48I still have questions on the offense.
01:50They came out guns a-blazing.
01:51I mean, really.
01:52I mean, Love was dialed in.
01:53Ground game wasn't going, but that's fine.
01:55And again, you and I are like, worry about the ground.
01:57Let Love cook.
01:59They came out of the half.
02:00Punt.
02:01Punt.
02:02They get handed a 36-yard field.
02:05Okay, they make good on it.
02:06And then that's the game.
02:07They get handed, you know, lines went for a down.
02:10The game was over.
02:11They didn't really play football in the second half.
02:15And I understand that they were in control.
02:1817-3 isn't game over.
02:21So, offensively, those questions will exist.
02:25Defensively, I think they can be very good because they were a Parsons away from that.
02:31However, I am someone who I felt was, you know, slamming the table.
02:36You and I were live on Pro Football today on Sunday morning.
02:39Why has everyone just decided to no longer talk about all these Lions things
02:43that we were worried about?
02:44Right.
02:45All offseason.
02:46And what do you know?
02:48The second the Lions lost this game, man, you know, it's tough, man.
02:52Ben Johnson's in Chicago.
02:54The offensive line lost.
02:56Oh, really?
02:57I thought, what do you, I thought, hold on.
03:00You, well, you don't bring it up until it happens.
03:02But, like, we, Joe, all offseason, everyone was like, I don't know about this.
03:07This is upset.
03:08This is tough for the Lions.
03:09And then a lot of the, and I know I sound like you, but, like, the Sharps are like, Detroit,
03:15could you believe this?
03:16They're being so undersold.
03:18No, I don't think they were.
03:19Right.
03:19And I think the Lions, we talk sometimes about week one, what's an overreaction and what is real.
03:25The Lions offense being much worse than last year's dominant, dominant group is absolutely on the board.
03:352.1 yards per carry.
03:36Less than 50 yards rushing.
03:39And this isn't college.
03:40No, no, no.
03:40But hold on.
03:40College football, either.
03:42Shacks don't come into the rushing yards.
03:43But, Joe, they come out, all this stuff.
03:46Gibbs is RB1.
03:47Gibbs is RB1.
03:48I look at the start of the game.
03:49Gibbs, Gibbs, wow.
03:51Montgomery 11, parents, Gibbs 9.
03:53I mean, come on.
03:54What?
03:54Did Dan Campbell give the O.C. a shake?
03:56I don't know.
03:56Enough.
03:58Get Monty the football for what?
03:59They love Monty, right?
04:00I don't know what it is.
04:01I have no idea.
04:02He's a very good second running back.
04:06But he's nowhere near the explosiveness of Jameer Gibbs.
04:09Especially even in the receiving game.
04:11Again.
04:1210 for 31.
04:13Come on.
04:14Come on.
04:15Who had his receiving yards over and lost that in the game?
04:17He had 10 catches.
04:18It's crazy.
04:19Come on.
04:19It's amazing.
04:20But credit Green Bay.
04:22That defense was flying sideline to sideline.
