00:12still very new but if you're watching on youtube please subscribe to us and that way you can you
00:17get a notification when we when we drop a new video i'm will jackson i'm editor at series
00:23rugby league joining me is peter smith leeds rhinos reporter at yorkshire evening post and sam cook
00:29the writer at series about rugby league um we're here to dissect the weekend few talking points look
00:36ahead to what's to come so i'll start with my round 25's in the books now so the big wins obviously
00:42derby wins for wigan and hulk r leeds beat huddersfield on thursday night which was a long
00:47time ago now uh castleford shocked wakefield which i didn't i don't think many people saw coming
00:53uh lee beat warrington and catalans pipped salford with a with a drop goal from hugo tyson
01:00um let's start with a whole derby since that's the freshest in most of our memories
01:06um kr are all but there now are they it's you know they're four points clear with two games to do i
01:12think it's it's over 100 points now a points difference between them and and wigan but it's
01:17tough attritional feisty game on on sunday who gave as good as they got but i think
01:23quality sort of you know rose to the top for hulk r is that a fair assessment sam
01:28yeah i think so i think um it wasn't it wasn't a brilliant game in terms of i think the hulk r
01:36have kind of been off it with their attack for a while now but i think as much as you can say that
01:41about them you can also say that hul fc really gave as good as they got they obviously are missing
01:46a lot of players not just like you know the flair players like price nasiata but they've got like
01:52a lot of grunt in the middle that's out herman sas is a massive loss um even then like you've got
01:57jed cartwright chamberlain i'm sure there's there's plenty more um and i think to say that hulky
02:03are kind of welcome back like jared way hargreaves um that didn't really they they kind of come just
02:11competed the packs they didn't neither side got on top of each other really it was kind of
02:15i think john cartwright mentioned it was kind of just jess lytton that made the difference he was kind
02:19of um he was at that point of difference in terms of taking them forward a little bit but
02:25and he kind of was just um physical and gray the wind the rain didn't help either and i think
02:34after the whole kicking game said that the whole two when it needed to be a agencies like kicking
02:39masterclass and he just like i think he needed to be 10 out of 10 each wasn't and that was
02:45kind of what it came down to the the better the team with the more quality and generally that's
02:51in a better health state we're going to win that game and that's that's just how it played out
02:55yeah you said john cartwright picked out jess lytton as the difference maker really and look we spoke
03:00about him last week but i mean he just simply has to be in that england squad now doesn't he was
03:05superb again yeah i think it's hard it's really really hard to ignore him i know like sean way my
03:12preferences and obviously you can look at someone like brad o'neill brings out like he's a lot more
03:18physical but i think lytton's kind of proven that he can do that mickey mcculler was brought in the
03:22start of the season to set the turn and obviously he's missed i'd say the vast majority of the year
03:27and lytton's not missed a beat in terms of that he still can bring that physicality i mean some of
03:32the shots that he was putting on yesterday as well like they were like were huge he's not just this
03:37i think the pundits analyzed afterwards the game is not just the running nine anymore he can do a lot
03:42more he showed that he is still running nine when he scored the try and on numerous others i think
03:47his run was kind of pivotal in setting up the first try he kind of distracted four or five defenders
03:51and then obviously it goes it goes wide to both but he does bring that physicality i don't know what
03:56more sean wayne can ask for especially when sort of the buzzword is consistency and i don't think
04:02there's been a more consistent nine in the competition this year yeah you look at his
04:07competition you've got i mean darrell clark's been fantastic i think for saints but brad o'neill
04:11walker at warrington it's you'd say jess jess lytton's on top of that list wouldn't you pete
04:16yeah i'd say he's the form um the form hooker i mean when it comes to doing the dream team which
04:27which we all we'll do at some stage fairly shortly he'll be in he'll be in mind but um that doesn't
04:33mean he's necessarily going to get picked for england does it we'll have to wait and see
04:37but i'd i'd pick him yeah uh just want to touch on mikey lewis he had to deal with
04:43more than his fair share on on sunday in terms of you know dirty tactics and and physicality there
04:51a lot went unpunished especially the jack ashworth one but i think he'll be in trouble with disciplinary
04:57today um in terms of mikey are we seeing a maturity out of him now in terms of just how he handled
05:03himself in that situation i think maybe in in years gone by he might have lost his head a little
05:08more than what he did he kept his composure and he i mean still performed well yeah potentially but
05:15he's not he's not 18 is he now he's he's been around the block a few times and uh if he's going
05:20to get to the very top of the game he has to be able to do that um which he he's as you say he's
05:26showing signs of of doing i don't know if it's more than his fair share of um of uh the the dark
05:33arts that's he's that's part of the game isn't it i know it's we're not talking about out and out
05:40thuggery like there was in in the past but if you're um if you're a star player that you're going
05:45to come in for that sort of phone the ashworth thing we're not we're not talking about that are
05:51we that's that's straight now for green he should have been sent off i'm no doubt that um when the
05:58the disciplinary is announced today when the match review panel um meet he'll get a he'll get a lengthy
06:06ban or a severe charge but you know the as a standoff you're going to get um people niggling at
06:13you and trying to put you off your game you have to be able to handle it and in the past maybe he
06:17hasn't as well as he's doing now but that's that's just part comes with more experience doesn't it and
06:23um more time in the game and and obviously a coach who knows how to get the best out of him
06:27yeah i can add to that relationship between willie and mikey it's it's i mean it's pretty strong now
06:32sam i just want to obviously with two games left now the likelihood is they'll get this wrapped up
06:39fairly soon do you think willie willie peters will be using his squad a bit more over the next two
06:45weeks i think he'll use elements of the squad but i don't think we're going to see wholesale
06:50rotation i mean i know that last year i think when wigan played salford in round 27 salford rested
06:57everyone but wigan having already they were already up there but they were still having to compete so
07:02they went full strength as well and it was that was a big blowout win i don't think i think
07:08obviously this year okay i will be already kind of wrapped it up i think there's i don't think
07:13they're going to rotate a lot maybe there's a couple of the players who are on the fringe of
07:16bounds you're looking at linton where hargreaves tyro may um i think reese martin if he comes back on
07:2327 i think they're sort of there's no need to risk them but i think otherwise he's kind of
07:29willie peters has only played these players he's used the fewest players of any super league coach this
07:34year because he knows who he trusts and i think knowing that they're going to get the week off
07:39which will kind of impede impede momentum slightly i think he'll want to keep the momentum as high as
07:46he can in round 27 so i'm not sure that the menu are going to get rotated but the likes of
07:51arabidoro jack brown bill layland i think we'll all play bigger roles um and maybe we'll just just
07:59test different scenarios as well we've seen morgue moving to the half so if he potentially does
08:04leave may out because he's on that tie rope then you can try morgue there broadbent at fullback and
08:10it kind of just gives him almost like planning for if things happen in big games when he gets it
08:16they've done that a few times this year anyway and um i think that's probably how he'll approach it
08:21yeah and oliver gildart coming back from a long-term injury sort of helps that massively doesn't it in
08:26terms of him slotting centre and broadbent if he's going to go to fullback that that opens the door
08:31for that yeah i think gildart's massive return to be honest he's like i think when he was kind of
08:37kind of got injured he was in some dream team shouts like i know obviously it was a very early
08:42stage to be making dream team shouts but he was one of the form centres in the competition so having
08:46him back you almost forget that they missed him because it's kind of been so seamless but he is a huge boost
08:52yeah i just want to touch on hull fc look i think they're right in this battle for the top six i mean
08:59the castleford one the castleford result against wakefield sort of blew that right open again
09:03about half maybe half two-thirds of the salary cap is probably on the sidelines we've got in what
09:08mentioned earlier what herman s yesterday jed cartwright john asiata will price looking at a couple
09:14more bands maybe as well this week but no they've got they've got warrenton and catalan now to come
09:19warrenton on saturday catalan the final game of the season both at home you'd think they could win
09:24those games and and wakefield with with hooker and salford there's you know that's that looks a
09:29trickier the trickier fixture list um i just want to say what a job drunk outright has done as well
09:37in terms of the performance on on on sunday you know hull fc have always been questioned in terms of
09:43in terms of their heart and mentality especially in the latter half of the season they've got history of
09:47falling away massively after the summer um but john cartwright's changed his team around and
09:54to say the right in there now is such a um credit to him do you agree pete yeah well the the two most
10:02improved teams are leeds and hull aren't they and you can see that the thing they've got in common
10:08they've both brought in an experienced aussie coach from the nrl and and count right and uh brad arthur
10:16have done a similar job at um at both clubs obviously leeds are a little bit further in front
10:21um or further ahead than hull are but who will be a strong um strong contender next season real
10:28challenges for the top six and the the fact from where they're coming to um to where they are now
10:34still in the the hunt for the six with two games to go is a real credit to uh to count right and the
10:40work that's been done off the field by people like um like richie myler and they've i've brought a
10:46little bit of pride back to that you'd know this more than me well but they've brought a bit of
10:50pride back to the um to the city and i think that's that's so important especially when
10:54whole kr are doing so well um it's it's obviously tough to be a black and white when when hulk are
11:01top of the table and winning the challenge cup but i think whole fans can can look ahead with
11:07with some confidence and they've got some good young players coming through as well which you
11:11you probably couldn't really say about uh about the robins i know that's that's causing a certain
11:16amount of debate between fans of both clubs but i think hull are in in decent shape and are going to
11:23get better i think i think wakefield will just pit them for the um for the sixth place but just to be
11:32there after after the disaster that was last year um it's it's just about a year ago um since
11:40hull went to leeds and got absolutely clouded i think 60 60 odd points and there were just enough
11:46to shambles that um that afternoon and now you you know if you're going to play them you you're going
11:52to get a tough game um they might not win it but they're going to be they're going to be in there
11:56there or thereabouts as they were against sol kr and um and yeah they're they're a club on the up
12:02i think yeah you mentioned youngsters there lloyd kent started at fullback yesterday and i mean
12:08pretty tough place to make a fair super league start but i thought he acquitted himself really well and
12:13then his twin came off the bench as well to play at standoff later in the game um wigan saints on
12:20friday then i mean wigan are just looking imperious all of a sudden at this time of year right they're
12:25timing the run perfectly they're very different um i watched i watched cast and uh custom wakey so i
12:33i can't comment on this particular game but um they're a much better side with bevin french
12:38and only that he makes such a massive difference um difference to them they've got him back at just
12:45the right time and he's they're going to be very hard to beat in the playoffs i think yeah i mean
12:50it it wasn't like an all-conquering wigan team that you know has so much possession of the ball
12:55saints actually dominated for long periods but they're just they couldn't convert that into points
13:00whereas wigan was so clinical obviously the jai field try from from 90 meters just came out of
13:06absolute nothing and and that basically won them the game um in terms of their experience going into
13:13the playoffs wigan is that an advantage what they've got over whole kr is that something that
13:18you know they can rely on sam yeah i think so i mean you you they are everyone's going to look back
13:25at what happened or trafford last year and the fact and then all even even going back before that
13:31you've had semi-final defeats in challenge cup and the playoffs for whole car against wigan
13:35and they've kind of they've just not really done it in in a do or die game yet and wigan will know
13:42that whole car will know that it's it's up to willie peters to try and get his team to forget that
13:46and realize that this is 2025 and they've been the best and the most consistent team but
13:51matt pete's gonna matt pete's gonna have no issue convincing his side that they've got you know
13:57especially like you say with evan french back now i think that experience is massive and you look at the
14:02hulky had brought in players like mickey macaloram and jarrett waria hargreaves because they needed
14:08that experience i mean there's every chance that jarrett waria hargreaves will be banned given how
14:13he's how he tours that disciplinary line and mickey macaloram's in a race to be fit for it as well so
14:18the two players that have kind of been brought in there's a chance they may not feature obviously
14:23they're going to have an impact in and around the squad but wigan don't have to worry about that
14:27you've seen the missing the likes of luke thompson england international the miss bevan french
14:32but the replacements are just as experienced and they've still got liam farrell who's probably
14:37one of the most experienced super league players in the super league at the moment i think i think
14:42wigan will have every confidence they can do it and beating saints yesterday on friday sorry
14:47just sort of affirms that they can circle to pressure and still punish teams which is crucial in
14:55knockout rugby yeah you mentioned the depth i think they had luke thompson even harvard
15:01crews leaving all on the bench it's that squad they've got it's just insane isn't it
15:07thought the forward pack is massive and even if you look outside the forward package going to the
15:13backs like zach eckersley like started the season not with a with a one through 17 number he was
15:19obviously out and obviously he's filled in a lot with abis miski out but and then you've got the
15:24players coming off the ranks we mentioned k i maybe don't have the academy system but there's a
15:28reason why saints leeds wigan are always near the top and it's because they've got that academy
15:33system to fall back on i mean you looked at their reserves team that played at the weekend
15:38jack fireman was playing in the reserves i think and he's he could you could argue that he'd be able
15:44to be a starting half in this league especially next year when you've got 14 teams but he's just a
15:50luxury he's almost a luxury player for them because they don't need him they can just call on him
15:54when they do need him so the depth is ridiculous i mean one of the depth players this year that's
16:00become like pivotal is actually sam walters i know he missed a lot of time during the middle of the
16:04season but sam walters must be in line with an england shout he's been brilliant moving from second
16:09road to prop as well when obviously thompson was missing i think he's had such a big impact and it
16:14kind of it still then allows you to have farrell and ensemba in that second row you don't lose
16:20them two at the sacrifice of walters which is probably what ruled what saw him miss i think
16:25the grand final last year despite starring in the semi-final yeah yeah speaking of selections as well
16:31just on to saints obviously jack wells we played at 13 which was the the big call going into that game
16:37with tristan sailor at fullback i don't think it didn't work i quite liked wells being that 13 role
16:44i think that might be a glimpse of his future intent and he's got the size to play there i mean
16:49the more time he has on the ball the better saints look he just got caught sort of caught up in the
16:54in the washing machine that that is that middle period and and you know he tired defensively i think
16:59paul wellin said exactly the same after the game um sam what do what do you do with tristan sailor going
17:06forward i think they have to make potentially a really tough call and look at if they're gonna
17:15offload him i'm jack wellsby i mean jack field makes an argument against but jack felt wellsby is
17:21one of if not the best fullback in super league when he's on it so moving him out of out of fullback
17:26sorry to play in the half just seems it just seems stupid you cut your nose at spite you first to try
17:32and force sailor in he's wasted on the wing of sailor you're not getting the yardage carries that you
17:37get from sort of your established wingers he doesn't look at home in the halves either there was the
17:43experiment with him as like a utility nine but do you want a player on that sort of money with that
17:49sort of reputation playing off the bench as that i think if saint helens can find a fullback hungry
17:55team then you kind of look at that but it just seems it seems rash after one season but i think
18:02saints probably have to be in the business of making these these big calls i mean they've still got the
18:06contract call for paul wellins to make like there's it is going to be a big period for
18:11my crush name and mcmanus and i think you kind of just have to make the calls and tristan sailor
18:17being offloaded could be one of those calls they've got to make because i just don't see where
18:22he fits and then they still get the best out of jack wellsby who you've got to say especially
18:27with morgan nose going they've got to build that team around wellsby and then whitby so what does
18:33sailor do he just complicates that and i think you've almost kind of just got to remove the
18:38complication which seems really harsh yeah for me i think you know we're talking about
18:43uh a conundrum that wellens has got in terms of fitting them all into his team i think it's
18:48fairly obvious now sailor's the one that misses out against lee this week um and you're saying about
18:55about you know moving forward potentially letting him go is this the perfect summer do you think with
19:00the amount of perfect winter sorry with the amount of players off contract you know i think there's
19:07only two players overseas players sorry that are contracted for next season tristan sailor and
19:12carlfeld is this the perfect time now to just wipe the slate clean and start again i mean it could
19:19be but it is there's no like i think there's no time like the present is is one thing you kind of
19:25every to every year you delay it you're potentially just delaying the progress so it's maybe the it maybe
19:33is what has to be done but then you you know the early 2026 especially when you you know the good
19:40friday derby's coming around like if the results are going the right way ahead of then you'll have
19:45fans saying oh well the squad was this the squad was that and it's a bold call but i think i think it
19:50probably has to be done and they almost you'd have to write off next year but you kind of have to accept
19:55that there's going to be a lot of change and that it's going to be a really tough year to navigate
19:59but um yeah something something's got to got to break effectively and i think it it could be
20:04tristan sales contractor early yeah go on and beat pete tell us about leeds um
20:13i think leeds have reached a stage now where um where they can beat teams without playing particularly
20:21well which hasn't been the case for the last few seasons and uh they've got to that stage now and
20:28there was an example of it at huddersfield on um on thursday it was a fairly dull sort of game
20:36really certainly not a spectacle leeds didn't play particularly well other than defensively they
20:42were they were strong but they were still on 26 nil away from home and again the fact that some
20:49leeds fans were were disappointed with that shows how far they've come under brad arthur
20:54really they'd have bitten your hand off for a result like that last season um
21:01i think you've got to give some credit to others field who they were a lot better than i thought
21:06they were going to be they were very doggy they never really threatened on attack but they they showed
21:11some spirit and dug in defensively and made it hard for leeds well leeds just had that extra bit of
21:16quality and their defense was was so strong they were never in any danger of losing the game um
21:22and they could afford to to not play at the best and still make it five wins on the trot they lost
21:28connor in the second half jake connor which is obviously a concern but it gave him a chance to um
21:34practice a few things and work out what they might do if connor's not there um some players who
21:41who've been really good weren't as good people like that i thought lucky miller had a below par
21:47game but then he came up with a moment of pure quality towards the end to put brodie croft chip and
21:51chase to put brodie croft in um you can just see that this the way this leeds team is evolving they're
21:59learning how to win games in different ways and that they're i think they're a good side now and i think
22:06they'll be even better next season what what is the latest on jake connor that i think brad arthur
22:12wasn't too concerned after the game was he there wasn't a lot of concern though i mean that he could
22:18have gone he wanted to go back on um and he could have gone back on but they just didn't think it was
22:23worth the risk at this stage of the season um obviously they'll have a decision to make on thursday
22:30with catalans coming to heading whether to um whether to risk him or not but brad arthur said after the
22:35the game that he wasn't going to arrest people just for the sake of it so if he if he doesn't
22:40play it will be because he's he's not ready to play um but it it brad arthur said it's rib cartilage
22:48and players play through those all the time so i i think when it comes to the big games then he'll
22:53he'll be well yeah you've sort of pre-empted my next question so i mean look with all due respect to
22:59catalan is it a sensible option with that wigging game coming up and the playoff straight after it is it
23:04a sensible option to just give him a week off well potentially i'm not a big i'm not a big fan of
23:11wrestling players and i i get the impression that that brad arthur isn't either um he's not done it
23:16so far jake connor's ever present so far this season so i'd say maybe he's due arrest i think the thing is
23:23if he's fit if he's fit to play then then he should play and if he's not then don't take the risk i think
23:29that's that's the sense of the approach i think that's how they'll approach it yeah just on to
23:34to round 26 then as we wrap it up how do you see it very well i think we should mention casa's win
23:41against um against um wakefield because that that's one of the surprises of well the surprise of the
23:49the round and one of the surprises of the season i think and cass have had an awful year a really
23:56poor year they've been a poor team for for most of it they've had some turmoil with the change of
24:02coach and everything but um they got it right on on friday and played really well and i thought they
24:09were deserved um deserved winners and it was it was nice for chris chester i don't think
24:14has been on the winning side in that um in that derby i think when he was at wakefield he didn't
24:21win any against cass and now um it's flipped around and and it it would have meant a lot to him i think
24:29and and just giving him a an indication that that maybe the things aren't as grim as they seem at um
24:35at castleford obviously there's going to be big changes there but um the the atmosphere in the
24:43the stadium the noise and and the way the fans got behind castleford in that second half i think
24:48it's a good sign for them for the future yeah i got the feeling you know listening to him speak
24:53after the league game last week and then and then pre-match as well i got the feeling that he'd sort
24:58of given up hope on this group of players just in terms of him saying i don't know what to say to
25:03this team anymore and i don't know how to get the best out of them i think they brought in graham
25:08stedman as well pre-match i think that's sort of hammered home what this what this game means
25:14yeah he spoke to the players pre-match and it's interesting what you're saying about chris
25:18chester but he doesn't he doesn't want to be the coach he said quite consistently his days of coaching
25:24are over he doesn't want to be in this sort of situation again obviously he did well at wakefield um
25:31right up until sort of the end of his time there and it's just not what he wants to do anymore he wants
25:36to be a director of rugby and to be involved in recruitment and sourcing players and that sort of
25:41thing that's what he feels he's good at now um but even so he's you know he's taking this job on
25:47reluctantly and i think it was it was a positive for him to um to get a win towards the end of it
25:53because i think they're going to struggle in the last two um last two games of the season but what
25:59what you're saying about him maybe feeling not sure what he can do with his squad he i mean he's
26:06he's not really made any secret of that there's going to be a lot of changes over the off season and
26:12and players who are contracted they're going to leave it when when that's known it's stuff for the
26:16players as well isn't it it's pretty hard to go out and give your best maybe when um when the coach has
26:22said or the the guy in charge has said we don't want you next year that said they've they've also
26:28they're playing for um contracts elsewhere and they are professionals um just looking at that
26:35performance the other night you just wonder where it's been for the rest of the season because i i was
26:40there when leeds put 60 points on them a few weeks ago and they were just they were shocking
26:44because i've heard um totally different the other night with you might say arguably not strong
26:50aside so um i think the players need to look at themselves as well and ask them you know look
26:58in the mirror and say well why why haven't we played like this every week yeah as you say i think they've
27:03got wigan this week st helen's a week after i think if chris chester could end the season on on
27:08friday night i think he would have done um look just just looking ahead then to to to this upcoming
27:14round of fixtures st helen's league looks like the big one sam which way do you see that one going
27:19um i think it depends kind of what st helen's do with tristan sale like you say the obvious
27:27call would be to leave him out whether that be out of the 17 or as that utility off the bench but i think
27:33they can't they can't go forward with this mishmash spine it's it's just it doesn't it doesn't help
27:39anything especially when you consider it's not just about this game and next week it's there's also the
27:43playoffs to consider and they kind of just need to try and get some consistency through it um
27:49obviously they'll welcome back well they should do providing he's kind of gone through all the
27:53protocols should welcome back morgan knows which is a massive boost and lee are going to miss tessie
27:58new but if you saw lee on saturday everything went down the right amyla hanley was unbelievable for
28:03them kin and brand got a hat trick more or less just because amyla hanley was so good like he was
28:08put on put on a plate for him i think um lee at home as well i think that's a massive advantage for them
28:14i think the lee are one of the teams that since haven't beaten in this this long spell
28:20um which i mean yeah you can say it's it's got it's bound to play on people's mind if you're a
28:25player going into it knowing now we've i think he's like oh and 18 or something across
28:30past two or three years and the likes of wigan and um and lee and others so it's bound to play in
28:36your mind i think lee know like lee can really like the fact that they're going to get four
28:43leads lose to wigg i think lee can even sneak third which obviously would get them either
28:47hull fc or wakefield in the first round of the playoffs which is far more appealing than playing
28:53saints so i think i'd go with the lee win probably by five or six you know you've got a drop ball potential
28:59in them that warm how tight it could be yeah just that record against a big look paul wellens was
29:07was sort of asked about this on sky on friday night and he and he was quick to find out that
29:11they've beaten leads home and away this season but i mean i haven't done the research for this but
29:16when was the last time to be wigan whole kr all lee i can't really can't remember
29:20it's even warrington i think sam burgess has a seven and a record against st elms and yeah
29:27warrington of 2024 you'd be like fair enough but warrington this year that's not a team that you
29:32should lose every single game to really um so i think it's just and obviously it it can be a
29:40coincidence it's not necessarily whether they just fall against these teams but it is going to play
29:45on people's mind like you can't you can't really ignore it um so i think yeah like adrian long's
29:52got such a well-drilled side they weren't they weren't brilliant against warrington but they still
29:55managed to put over 30 points and i think there was missing a few players as well um so i think with
30:03those back even lou having lost new um i think they'll be all right yeah i'm very wary that we've done
30:09nothing but bad mouth bad mouth st ellen so i'm going to bat them to beat him to beat lee
30:13um pete how do you see wakey rovers going
30:22oh that's a it's an interesting one isn't it i mean rovers still mathematically haven't got the
30:30league leadership wrapped up i think it's four points four points but the points difference is
30:36over 100 so it's it's it's it's nearly there
30:42i i can see i think wakefield will be a lot better than they were
30:46um against castleford when they they they were just surprisingly poor they've not really hit the
30:53straps since they have that big win against leeds um at the end of july very emotional night with a
30:59last gasp winner by um drop goal by mason leno and i think that took something out of them
31:06so that they're gonna have to step up i think they're capable of beating whole care at home
31:10they've given whole care a tough time at home very early in the season competed with them for a spell
31:16in the away game not not so long ago but if i think if all kr still want to still want to make a point
31:26and and are really up for it then i think they might be a little bit too strong but
31:32it's going to depend on on who's available isn't it okay i might have one or two missing through
31:38suspension maybe we don't know yet um it's a fun to call that but i wouldn't i wouldn't be totally
31:46surprised if um if wakey win it it's one of those that that could go with either way and i think it
31:51would be good practice for both teams going into the playoffs yeah well going into the players all
31:57fc might have something to say about that they play warrington at the nkm i think that's another
32:02intriguing one i really do just in terms of where all fc are at now i meant as i mentioned before about
32:07the sheer amount of absentees but you know but warrington aren't performing either it's
32:13yeah again i can't see which way that one goes i think i think warrington like it's three games now
32:21the huddersfield salford and lee like that it's three games where they've just like performed so far
32:28under what they can do i think you're expecting each week you've expected a response so it's daft to say
32:35oh well this week they'll get the response because they've proven they haven't done it but
32:39somebody something it just simply has to improve like you can't these are like good good players
32:45it's not there's not a poor team like so i think and obviously you say how many hull fc are missing
32:51i know their home form has improved somewhat but it's still not great and i think with all i've seen
32:56knowing how much is on the line like there's probably gonna be a lot of nervous energy there and
33:00there and warrington can take advantage of that maybe i'm not i'm not confident that they'll go
33:05and win but i think they can their job is to go disrupt the party and i think they can certainly
33:10do that i mean i watched them on saturday luke gates was standing captain i thought he was unbelievable
33:17he was one of the few ones that could take take some pride in performance and i think if you just
33:23basically look at how he played if everyone can strive to be just like luke gates then they they
33:29win this game easily he was so good in terms of how he got himself about but he was put on report so
33:36if he ends up missing then i think they could collapse
33:40yeah what you say about hull fc and nervous energy i i don't know if i totally agree i sort of think
33:45they've got nothing to lose in terms of where they're at and and the expectations from you know from
33:51the start of this season no one expected no one expected them to be in this position that they're
33:56in and if you know it's a free shot almost to go and get a playoff spot i i agree with that 100 100 i
34:04don't think um i don't think it'll make or break whole season if they if they miss out on the playoff
34:10so no one expected them to get there anyway a bit bit like wakefield as as well to be honest for
34:15for the sixth spot i think all have had a decent season what um whatever the result of the last
34:21couple of games and and i think it's an opportunity for them rather than anything to be um to be nervous
34:27about just go out and and show what you can do and if if they don't make it well so what they've
34:34they've got a pre-season to build on for next year and some players coming in i think it's i'd say i think
34:40it's an opportunity for them but as sam says warrington can't be as bad as this forever and
34:46they've got quite a few players leaving so they might want to send them out on a on a high in the
34:50last couple of games so is it it is a tough one tough one to call that yeah i think george believing
34:56might be coming back as well so i think he'll want to find some form at least going into the ashes
35:01um i think that will do us cheers guys um look look out throughout the week plenty of content to
