02:32break that is filtering in right now. Himachal Pradesh hit by landslides and cloudbursts. You
02:37have the Chief Minister a short while ago state that Himachal Pradesh is a disaster zone seeking
02:43a package for disaster relief from the centre. Himachal Pradesh now declared a disaster, declared
02:49disaster hit by the Chief Minister himself this time around. More than 300 people have
02:55died in the state of Himachal Pradesh since June 20th as relentless monsoon and complete
03:01climate chaos has triggered cloudbursts, landslides, flash floods and widespread damage to homes,
03:07farms and infrastructure. Himachal Pradesh has not seen the kind of infrastructural loss that
03:14it has in the last four days. Places like Kundu Manali completely cut off. The downpour has destroyed
03:21more than 1,280 houses, damaged dozens of shops and factories, washed away kilometres of roads.
03:30Joining me right now is the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. He's been on ground
03:39taking stock of the situation. He himself had said that Himachal this season is a disaster area.

15:47have moved up
15:48to Singuid category
15:50of 40% GST
15:52the Tendu Biri
15:53has been marked down
15:55to 18%
15:56the Congress says
15:57all of this
15:58within eye
15:59on Bihar elections
16:00while the BJP
16:01has turned around
16:02and said
16:02don't insult Bihar
16:03take a look
16:04amid all the rejoicing
16:11over the revised
16:12GST slabs
16:13it's the humble BD
16:15that has sparked off
16:16a firestorm
16:17in battleground Bihar
16:19remember
16:21the union government
16:22has increased
16:23the GST
16:24on all tobacco products
16:25to the 40% slab
16:27as part of
16:28the syntax criteria
16:29but not only
16:31was the BD
16:32given an exemption
16:33but GST
16:34on it
16:34was also
16:35reduced
16:36from 28%
16:37to 18%
16:38this move
16:40gave Congress
16:41an opportunity
16:42to fire
16:42a fresh salvo
16:43against the BJP
16:44in a cryptic
16:46social media post
16:47Kerala Congress
16:49highlighted
16:49that both
16:50BD
16:51and Bihar
16:51start with B
16:53hinting
16:54at the consumption
16:54of BDs
16:55in Bihar

18:09With just two weeks to go before dates for Bihar elections are announced,
18:31the political discourse is heating up.

18:50It wields a fair amount of political clout because if you look at policy where the Bidi
18:54is concerned, over the years governments might change but a soft spot for the tendu leaf Bidi

19:07The Bidi has smoked the battlefield of Bihar and lots of political commentary coming in
19:13on that.
