Lawmaker asks dismissed Public Works engineer to name contractors in bribery try
Batangas First District Rep. Leandro Leviste urges dismissed Batangas Public Works District Engineer Abelardo Calalo to name those other contractors who talked to him about bribing the lawmaker in exchange for stopping the investigation of anomalous flood control projects in his district. In his affidavit, Calalo denied that he exposed Leviste to the corrupt practices in his district and that he denied offering money to the congressman in exchange for favors.
