Dizon: DPWH undersecretaries not linked to flood control contractors

None of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) undersecretaries is linked to contractors handling flood control projects, DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon said on Thursday, Oct. 16.  The statement came in response to earlier allegations by Batangas 1st district Rep. Leandro Legarda Leviste that some members of Dizon’s team had ties with contractors. 00:13at sinasabi niya sa atin kung anumang impormasyon ang nakakalap niya.

00:19At ini-encourage din natin, hindi lang ang mga congressman,

00:23hindi lang ang mga government officials,

00:24kundi lahat ng mga kababayan natin,

00:27na kapag meron po kayong impormasyon tungkol sa kahit na sino na membro ng DPWH,

00:35whether dati nang nandito o yung mga bagong sinama ko sa DPWH,

00:42specifically yung ating mga undersecretary na pumasok pagang kamakailan,

00:48ako po ay magiging open na open at matutuwa ako sa kahit anong impormasyon na maibigay niyo sa akin.

00:54At ito lang po ang masasabi ko.

00:58Kung masasabi sa akin ni congressman Riviste,

01:02kung sino at yung detalye nung sinabi niya kanya,

01:07I think kung hindi ako nagkakamali,

01:10ito'y narinig din lang niya.

01:21kaya nagpapasalamat ako sa kanya,

01:22sa kanyang mabilis na paglalabas nito sa ating mga kababayan at sa akin.

01:33ang commitment ko sa kanya at sa lahat ng ating mga kababayan,

01:37dahil na rin sa direktiba ng Pangulo,

01:40na siguraduhing luminis na finally itong DPWH,

01:44tatanggalin ko po yung taong yun,

01:46immediately.

01:47At kung kinakailangan,

01:49kakasuhan ko ba yung taong yun?

01:52That's very important to me,

01:54na malaman talaga.

01:56Kung sino yan,

01:57kung ano ang circumstances nung narinig niya,

02:02importante sa akin yan.

02:03And I will look forward to having a conversation with congressman Riviste.
