Colossians 3:1-5, 9-11 calls us to seek the things above where Christ is. Set your heart on heaven and let your life be hidden with Him. Put to death what is earthly. Refuse immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed which is idolatry. Put off the old self with its practices. Do not lie to one another. Be renewed in knowledge according to the image of the Creator. In Christ there is no Greek or Jew, slave or free. Christ is all and in all. This is a path for every home and parish. Choose honesty. Choose purity. Choose the new self that loves. Pray over these verses with quiet attention. Ask for steady grace to live what you read. Let your speech be truthful and your habits clean.
