00:10And now, the HBO Sports presentation, KO Nation.
00:30The following is a special presentation of HBO Sports, the network of champions.
00:39Hey, America, it's father and son. Miami, macho madness has begun.
00:44HBO, you're on the one with KO Nation.
01:00What time is it? It's macho time.
01:20Tonight, the outrageous Hector Camacho Sr. takes on Troy Lowry in a 10-round middleweight bout.
01:27Then, he's a chip off the old block as son Hector Camacho Jr. battles Rocky Martinez in a 12-round junior walterweight fight.
01:38But we brought heat to South Beach with our own KO Nation dancers.
01:46But before we start the show, let's hear it for the man who can mix it up better than your favorite bartender, our DJ Max Blazer.
01:57While you're watching Lucho Macho Madness, log on to HBO.com slash KO Nation.
02:12There, you can check out Max Glazer's playlists.

02:22Also, you can choose Hector Camacho Jr.'s walkout music.
02:28Now, will it be Still Telling Lives by Cuban Link or 100% by Big Pun?
02:34You make the choice.
02:37And when the fight is done, stick around as KO Nation kicks it with a live performance
02:42by Atlantic record recording artist and Miami's own Trick Daddy featuring the Slip N' Slide Express.
02:49All in my beat is all across the world
02:55This song goes after all the boys and girls
02:59You want the folks to come and turn your body out
03:03You better take it to the high
03:05And now, let's send it over to KO Nation's ringside announcer, Mr. Fran Charles.
03:14Welcome to KO Nation. I'm Fran Charles.
03:17It's a family affair tonight.
03:19Anything can happen.
03:20It's Mucho Macho Madness.
03:22Hector Camacho Sr. and Hector Camacho Jr.
03:26Performing on the same card.
03:28And to the best of our knowledge,
03:30a father and son duo performing on the same card
03:32has only happened a few times in boxing history.
03:35Let's take a quick recap.
03:37Back in 1916, it was Bob Fitzsimmons appearing with his son, Young Bob, in an exhibition.
03:43In 1975, Rocky Mosley Sr. shared the stage with Rocky Mosley Jr.
03:49And in 1977, former heavyweight champion Joe Frazier put on an exhibition with his son, Marvis.
03:57And in 1996, Hector Camacho Jr. made his pro debut with his father as the headliner.
04:04Tonight, the role was reversed for Camacho Jr.
04:08He'll be the headliner.
04:09I'm joined now by my analyst, Kevin Kelly.
04:12And Kevin, it's a much different situation for Camacho Jr. this time around.
04:16Well, talk about tough act to follow.
04:18His father won various titles, done exceptional things,
04:22a definite shoe into the Hall of Fame.
04:24Phenomenal fighter, 20 years of boxing.
04:27Can you compete with that?
04:28Can you outdo that?
04:30If there's any outdoing, his son will try to do that.
04:33All right.
04:34So we will see from Camacho Jr. as he takes on Rocky Martinez.
04:38But always, we'll hear from Senior first.
04:41And as we said at the top of the show, anything can happen.
04:44Just this morning, at a hotel restaurant, there was an altercation between Hector Camacho Sr.
04:50and his brother Felix, who fought on our card earlier tonight.
04:54Apparently, punches were thrown.
04:56Police were called to the scene.
04:58There was some hotel property damage.
05:00Kevin, a 20-year veteran, getting ready for a fight tonight.
05:04Yet, there's an altercation in the morning.
05:06Where's his focus?
05:06I got one thing to say.
05:09Vida, loca, Camacho.
05:12That crazy life for his.
05:14I mean, in the ring, out the ring.
05:16All kinds of crazy things happen in his life.
05:18But that's Camacho.
05:19That's how he lives.
05:20That's him.
05:21So all I can say is, he's slick, he's sly, but all the girls love his clothes.
05:2720-year veteran.
05:28Definitely some crazy things happening outside the ring.
05:31Earlier tonight, we just told you that Felix Camacho, he fought.
05:34He took on Elias Juarez, and he won the fight.
05:37And Camacho Sr. watching his brother in that bout.
05:45So apparently, everything seems to be okay between the two fighters.
05:49All right.
05:49Hector Camacho Sr. now getting ready for a middleweight bout between Troy Lowry.
05:55As we look at the tail of the tape, we told you he's a 20-year veteran.
05:58Camacho Sr., 38 years old.
06:00It's Lowry with the reach advantage, or the height advantage as well.
06:05Both fighters making the weight.
06:07Camacho gaining 10 pounds on our unofficial HBO scales.
06:11All right.
06:12It's time to meet the fighters.
06:13Let's send it back now to CeCe Dupree.
06:16Are you ready for our first fight of the night?
06:19Now, coming out to Jay-Z is Minnesota's own Troy Lowry.
06:26When the Rimmie's in the system, ain't no telling when I'm f***ing when I diss them.
06:31That's what they be yelling.
06:32I'm a pin by blood, not relation.
06:34Y'all be chasing.
06:35I'll be play some, huh?
06:37Drunk on Chris, mommy on E.
06:39Can't keep a little model, hands off me.
06:41Both in the club, singing on key.
06:44And I wish I never met her at all.
06:46It gets better.
06:47Ordered another round.
06:49It's about to go down.
06:51Got six model chicks, six bottles of Chris.
06:53No velvet in, sky weird everywhere.
06:55What do you say?
06:56Me, you and your Chloe glasses.
06:58Go somewhere private where we could discuss sashes.
07:00Like Prada blouse.
07:02Gucci bra.
07:03Okay, feel for my jeans.
07:04Take that off.
07:05Give it to me.
07:06Give me that funk, that sweet, that nasty, that gushy stuff.
07:10Don't bonus me.
07:11Come on.
07:11Give me that funk, that sweet, that nasty, that gushy stuff.
07:15Give it to me.
07:16Give me that funk, that sweet, that nasty, that gushy stuff.
07:19Like don't bonus me.
07:21Give me that funk, that sweet, that nasty, that gushy stuff.
07:23For the past seven years, Troy Lowry has averaged just two fights a year,
07:37but he says his full attention is now focused on a run for a title.
07:40Lowry's a puncher who could give Camacho senior problems
07:44if he can engage the veteran in a war.
07:46No easy task, Kevin.
07:48The big thing he has to do is slow Camacho down.
07:51He has to stop him from moving.
07:52Hard task.
07:53Nobody has ever stopped Camacho from running.
07:55Tella Hoya couldn't do it.
07:56Chavez couldn't do it.
07:57And I don't know if Lowry can do it,
07:59but tonight he has to go to the body early
08:00and try to take the legs out of Camacho.
08:06All right, let's send it back to CeCe Dupree.
08:10And now, coming out to Y'all Don't Wanna by Capone and Noriega
08:15is the outrageous Hector Camacho Sr.
08:19Here we go.
08:19I give you every part of my life, to my paralyzed finger, to the found death of my mom,
08:29the slug and the left of my arm.
08:33I'm the answer like Alan I, who runs sick like Spencer on the Alan I.
08:49I'm the person of a note on a note track.
08:52CNN back, number five, Jordan purple and black.
08:55You stack for purpose, trying to sit in the cat.
08:57IEH, drama, and talk, memories of my rap.
08:59It's kind of hard to rap the radio while I sit in the box.
09:02All I could make some money, send a two-slip to my pop.
09:04IEH, like my all, right to scars, nice to talk, felt that I had a right to rock.
09:13Camacho's extravagant ring instances have defined his 20-year career
09:17almost as much as his performances once inside.
09:21Leotards, Roman gladiator costumes, and of course, the loincloth.
09:25Kevin, he's a pioneer when it comes to boxing drama.
09:29Well, his drama being excluded, his boxing abilities are phenomenal.
09:32You can't take it away from him.
09:34Seven-year-old fights, his man has won two recitals.
09:36He's a veteran.
09:37All right, we're ready to go.
09:38Let's send it in now to ring announcer Michael Buffer with the official introduction.
09:45Ladies and gentlemen, Budweiser presents Macho Madness Part 1,
09:4910 rounds of boxing.
09:51This is in the middleweight division.
09:54The three judges assigned to ringside, scoring the bout on the 10-point must list,
09:59and will be Bill Ray, Al Walensky, and Rocky Young.
10:04And when the bell rings, your referee in charge of the action, Armando Garcia.
10:09Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner,
10:12wearing black and weighing in at 155 and one-quarter pounds.
10:16His professional record, 23 bouts, 22 victories,
10:21including 14 by knockout, with only one defeat.
10:25From St. Paul, Minnesota, here is Troy TNT-Laurie.
10:37And his opponent across the ring, fighting out of the red corner,
10:40wearing the multicolored trunks and weighing in at 158 pounds.
10:45His professional career, an outstanding one, 79 bouts, 73 victories,
10:51including 36 knockouts, with only four losses and two draws.
10:56Ladies and gentlemen, from Bayamon, Puerto Rico,
10:59presenting the five-time world champion, Hector Macho to Macho.
11:08Jester, in the house, Macho time.
11:36gentlemen we had a nice talk in the dressing room i'm confident you know exactly what i expect from
11:42you obey my commands at all times and protect yourselves at all times these trunks are a bit
11:47high and so are these okay watch your head butts no holding behind the head and hitting okay
11:51touch gloves may the best man win
11:53hector camacho senior 20 years and still at it troy lowry told us he will put pressure on camacho
12:04let's check in now with our internet audience to see who they believe will win the fight and by
12:12slight margin hector camacho so kevin it's macho time one more time like i said people wonder
12:22how many times can kamacho drink to bet uh in his style of fighting he did many many times
12:29point blank devon why is hector camacho still fighting well i talked to camacho earlier he told
12:35you that he wants to fight three more times this year and this movement yeah because to steal
12:41that's what's here for the title see you huh you know i think that fight taking a big fight from
12:47um another world title but like i said he just wants to satisfy camacho at this point
12:51so we don't want to have a whole career he's not hitting recently right away in the first round you
12:57see a trademark move from hector camacho grabbing the back of lowry's head continuing to fire blows
13:07i'm sure camacho looks good tonight maybe uh castillo will look and take that a note and maybe not
13:12fight hector
13:26see the quickness of camacho there he jabs and steps to his left real quick getting out the way of shots
13:32you know he gets out just enough if you can't hit him he can hit you
13:36has his style changed over the years i believe camacho slowed down a little bit as far as his footwork
13:43he's much faster much more fleet footage i believe that's mike you know thoughts of it is that the
13:49weight gain is 154 pounds you want his first world title 130 pounds that weight has to slow you down a little bit
13:55and then backs away his hand speed is still there his punching power 130 is great don't look like the same
14:14punching power at 54.
14:15lowry told this he would he's going to pressure camacho make great use of his jab fire off 70 to 80
14:28punches we certainly have not seen that in the first round camacho has a lot of experience and he knows
14:36just enough how to get out of the way of puck like you see right there he steps to his left just enough
14:40he counted lawry's job with his job and he's flicking he's not really trying to jump he's just
14:45clicking his job just enough to keep lawry at distance
14:54the crowd here at level nightclub
14:58responding to just about everything that camacho does in the ring
15:02the crowd goes down to the referee armando garcia says it with a push oh and it was
15:23a push oh you gotta throw those jabs you gotta do the job don't try so hard you're doing very well
15:38well are you listening to me you were doing very well very well relax don't try so hard and use that
15:57job you can have them already cut two more here we go taking a good look at that straight left hand
16:02he still has in his arsenal stay left hand out pipe what balance
16:11you heard the voice of our interpreter hector garcia interpreting for us tonight in the corner
16:17of hector camacho senior and junior later on
16:25it's funny about camacho at 38 years old he still has a hand speed
16:28hasn't written it's the first of the day of the day of the fight he flexes and handspeed
16:32and his is still there
16:35comes through with a lunging left hand does hector camacho
16:45one thing that people can never say about hector camacho a senior is they need a shot
16:49fighter because if this is a shot fight i tell you i don't want to fight none of them like this
16:58he has a very impressive record he's 22 and one with 14 knockouts maybe no credible names in the
17:13guys that he's beaten but let me tell you he's still 22 and one he knows how to win
17:16he started training back in december 14th seven weeks for this bout
17:24that he sparred over 100 rounds with southpaws to get ready
17:32told us it'd be an honor to be in the ring with camacho but he would love to be the fighter
17:37and put an end to the two-time world champion stellar career if he's going to do that he has to fly more
17:44pressure more jacket come out to the back of his heels punch to the body to take the legs away
17:49his rear round two and he hasn't went to the body yet
17:52camacho definitely the aggressor in the opening round now lori has a bad cut over his left eye
17:59and a bad spot manifest under his eye
18:04i mean he's got problems trying to hit camacho now he's bleeding more drama
18:08camacho shows his quickness and his reflection fires off two quick one twos
18:17dude this is like a 38 year old man to you frame definitely looks quick wow he told us he hasn't
18:23been cut since early in his career said he hasn't had a problem with cuts as of late but right away
18:31there's a serious gas underneath his left eyes camacho stings lawy with a straight left
18:38stop punching step back
18:42there's a straight left hand it's classical it's memorable it's something that he has
18:46he's awesome he's never left him stop punching step back he actually going line straight left hand
18:53lawy's getting hit with it so now we can keep dropping his right hand
18:56no no no every time lawy drops it right here camacho comes over the top with the straight left hand
19:00it catches lawy every time camacho connecting it with that left hand lawy's really confused
19:08lawy's doing something that uh righty's should should be doing he's stepping the wrong way
19:13he's not doing the straight right hand with left hook
19:26that's bad that's bad cut better get the dark grip
19:35that had to be a headbutt
19:37if i'm working there don't stop work on it work on it
19:42rinse that out i got it tom
19:45no doc uh-uh look at it no i can't let that go no i know we can't
19:51do it come on all right one more look at it one more one more one more round
19:59it's work
20:00i got it
20:01do you want to continue fighting one yeah okay
20:05don't try so hard this is this is over
20:08just don't just throw the red straight right hand hit him in the chest
20:13let's go let's go get him out get him out let's go check it out let's go let's go
20:19our compu box punch stat numbers showing the hector camacho landed 13 of 26 power shots
20:27in the second round and he comes through with a power shot to kick off the third
20:32camacho the straight left too quick for troy lowry in the early going
20:37it's that straight left hand that he's got those power shots all that straight left hand
20:43he goes over and over after popping the jab out first he touches lowry then he tries to kill him
20:48everything he touches him with that jab it's not a strong jab but it's enough to make lowry pay attention
20:59he's so seasoned he's taking lowry's crew right here you see he's moving just enough
21:03making i miss all his shots it's certain all his energy and then he hits him and count it
21:07and then he spins him he gets behind him he's throwing him off balance these are all veteran
21:11tricks that he's doing in there and lowry right now is being taken to school
21:19wow we trying to apply pressure camacho quickly gets out the best thing lowry to do at this point
21:27camacho steps to his right going straight right hand down quite come back to the hook and go to the
21:32volume immediately
21:36because camacho is stepping right in front of lowry's right hand there he goes again he just steps in
21:39front of it lowry goes with jack first grabbing the right hand first there camacho does it again
21:44he steps instead of going to right hand he goes to jail long punch lowry's is falling off
21:49that's why he's ineffective right now let's go come on
21:55troy lowry has won his last nine fouls
21:58but not one of his opponents during that span owns a winning record
22:06well it's showing up tonight and if you have four former world champions and
22:10going to lose his life to camacho
22:12you know a lot more how to handle the situation he doesn't know how to handle
22:16that's
22:25that's the serious moving right out of the way at points is tying him up on the inside
22:31lowry should go to the body on the inside try to slow down over camacho he is 38 years old
22:36so come on come on come on let's go put that knowledge on that body come on let's go
22:39come on come over camacho two skills slips away from the ropes with ease
22:51he's definitely doing something I think one fighter today he's definitely learned from
22:59biggest thing he's jabbing he's got the most extension up
23:02Lowry connects to the head of Camacho.
23:10Hector Camacho has not been in the ring since June of last year.
23:15He sure can't tell.
23:17No, sir.
23:32Okay, now you're opening up.
23:40Okay, you got to keep working.
23:45Okay, you got to keep working.
23:47You got to get off quicker.
23:49You're getting into that up and down.
23:50Rinse his mouth.
23:56Rinse this.
23:57Okay, keep working, keep working.
24:00Get off quick.
24:02Okay?
24:04Take this.
24:09Come on, look at him before he goes out.
24:10Try to describe real quick.
24:12All right, he looks good, man.
24:13He looks good.
24:13Levels a hot club in Miami.
24:16And as you see, Miami Heat Center, Alonzo Mourning,
24:19sitting right next to fabulous musician Lenny Kravitz.
24:23Ringside for Hector Camacho and Troy Lowry.
24:27And coming up next, junior time, Hector Camacho Jr.
24:31will square off against Rocky Martinez in a junior Walter Waite foul.
24:35Let's bring in Julie Letterman now, our unofficial ringside scorer, and see how she has it through three.
24:43Brandon, I've got it 30-27.
24:45Three rounds to zero, Hector Camacho Sr.
24:47You know, that left hand goes straight down the pipe at Lowry, and it just doesn't miss.
24:51I mean, every left hand Camacho's throwing is landing.
24:54Right there, we see it again.
24:55And incidentally, referee Armando Garcia has indicated Lowry's cut was caused by a punch, not a headbutt.
25:02Therefore, if the fight has to be stopped due to the cut, he'll lose by TKO.
25:08All right, Julie.
25:10Camacho continuing to rain down with strong left hand.
25:16Lowry's not doing what he told us in the fight.
25:18It means he's taking a lot of pressure to Camacho.
25:21Get him on his heels and throw punches.
25:23But that's not what he's doing.
25:24He's got to get to a boxing match with Hector Camacho Jr.
25:27And he's getting out-bossed.
25:30Well, he threw 66 punches in the last round, but only landed nine.
25:34Stop punching, step back.
25:35Exactly.
25:35Get it perfect.
25:36They have to land.
25:40He can throw 150, but if only six land, he's losing the fight.
25:43Okay, stop punching.
25:44Step back.
25:52Hector's doing some nice one-twos here.
25:54Doing very effective punching.
25:55Drops Lowry with a big left hand.
25:59No, I think it was more of a slip, honey.
26:02More of a slip, Lane.
26:03You know, he threw a shot.
26:05And now Lowry wraps up Camacho and hits Camacho from behind.
26:13And Camacho goes down.
26:14I don't know if that was a shot that Camacho should do what it did.
26:18I don't expect that reaction from that, though.
26:19I mean, I don't think the shot was that hard.
26:22I think he's overreacting to the behind-the-head shot.
26:27It's illegal, but it's definitely an overreaction.
26:29Troy, that's unnecessary.
26:32Don't do that again.
26:34Come here.
26:35Come here, come here, come here.
26:36The firecracker.
26:37Ready?
26:37Referee Armando Garcia taking away a point from Troy Lowry.
26:45You heard him say, Troy, that's unnecessary.
26:48Don't do that again.
26:51He's getting more frustrating.
26:52He doesn't know how to get that to Camacho.
26:54He could get an opportunity to do something illegal.
26:56He did it.
26:57He got a point deducted.
26:58Put him further in the hole.
27:00Right now, he needs to put up the pressure.
27:02A fly more attack.
27:03But what he's doing right now is not working for him.
27:05That was not a knockdown, Kevin.
27:07You're correct.
27:08There was no count from Garcia.
27:18Hector is beating Lowry mentally, not even physically.
27:22He's winning the fight for him, but mentally he's just outsmarting Lowry.
27:27He's getting around him.
27:28He's stepping around him as a sophomore does.
27:30He's stepping around him.
27:31That left leg of Lowry all the time.
27:33He's getting behind him.
27:33Lowry's got to look for Hector.
27:35Now that he can hear that.
27:37He's got to find him before he can hit him.
27:38He's got to find him before he can hit him.
27:42How are your feet?
27:57Are you okay?
27:58Lowry, how's your legs?
28:13This round was a little too slow.
28:16You had to throw more jabs.
28:17How are we doing here, Troy?
28:19Good.
28:19Yeah?
28:20Okay, that was unnecessary.
28:22It wasn't that hard of a punch.
28:24You got him twice.
28:25Here you see Lowry throwing shots.
28:27He's very awkward, very frustrated.
28:29He gets knocked down by a punch that was in the punch.
28:31It was a slip, real slip.
28:34There's Camacho, the same punch behind the head.
28:36Camacho gets hit behind the head.
28:38No reaction, but hey, he's looked down.
28:40It was a legal punch.
28:41He could have a point to touch it.
28:43And he did.
28:47Hector Garcia translating for us from the founder of Hector Camacho.
28:51You heard Camacho's trainer, Hector Oroko, tell him,
28:55you're not throwing enough punches.
28:5642 in round four, landing 11.
29:02A little simple.
29:02Hector Oroko doesn't want to fight like a 38-year-old.
29:04He's fighting like a 28-year-old.
29:06The crowd jeering as Camacho feigned to hit Lowry in the back of the head.
29:20As long as it's probably going to be more frustrated than Lowry is getting.
29:24I think he's waiting to have to get tired and slow down.
29:26But that's not going to happen.
29:27You have to make your man slow down.
29:28Punching to the body and backing your man up.
29:31Get Camacho on the ball and then he'll do his feet.
29:36Hector's the aggressor right now.
29:42Hector's backing Lowry up.
29:44And Lowry's a taller man.
29:45She'll keep it Hector at the end of his fits.
29:47At the end of his fits, at the end of his shots.
29:49Not allowing Hector to do his side and do his punches.
29:51Like right there.
29:52Hector goes inside.
29:53Ties him up.
29:54Lowry can't get off.
29:55He's getting frustrated.
29:56He can do this all night.
30:01No, no, no.
30:02Come on, come on, come on.
30:03Okay, okay, okay.
30:04Stop punching.
30:04Come on, come on.
30:05Come on, come on.
30:05Hey, Hector Camacho.
30:07It's a good fight, all right?
30:08Don't do that again.
30:11Last real difficult fight was three and a half years ago against Oscar De La Hoya.
30:20He lost a 12-round decision.
30:23He was knocked down in the fight.
30:25Remarkably, he's only been knocked down twice in his career.
30:29He's got the very quick, fast left hand.
30:33Stuff that Camacho's doing, okay?
30:34Stuffing season.
30:36Nope, no punching.
30:37Stop punching.
30:38No, no, no.
30:41Camacho now throws Lowry down into the corner.
30:44And Armando Garcia is about to take control.
30:48I'm telling you, that was...
30:49Don't do that.
30:55The fight is getting ugly.
30:56We've taken place because Lowry's very frustrated right now.
31:00Very fatigued.
31:01And he can't get to Camacho.
31:02He didn't know how to get to Camacho.
31:04How did he get to Camacho into a fight?
31:06They both did some dirty things.
31:07Camacho hit him on the head.
31:08He's getting behind him.
31:09Lowry's punched him on the head.
31:10The fight is getting very ugly.
31:13Can't ensure there'll be a point to justice for them.
31:16Well, I think he's getting both ones and make him realize,
31:19if you keep doing these antics, I'm going to take a point away.
31:33Banks starting to get a little sloppy in the fifth round.
31:37But right now, it's Hector Camacho's fight to lose.
31:40That was the last one, okay?
32:08Don't forget, following Hector Camacho Sr., it's Hector Camacho Jr., father and son on the same card.
32:20Jr. will square off against Ray, Rocky, Martinez, and a junior waltzerweight bout.
32:25And that fight is coming up immediately after Camacho Sr. and Troy Lowry.
32:30Here you see how ugly this fight is getting.
32:39Camacho flips Lowry over his head, throws him on the floor, uncalled for, but hey,
32:45didn't get a point to Dr.
32:45All these tricks Camacho's doing about leaning on Lowry's, tying him out, doing a lot of things,
33:04a first-year Lowry.
33:05You know, he fought a season-floor like Hector Camacho, but he's been there with everybody,
33:09from Evan Rosario, Delahoy, or the Trinidad.
33:12He's expecting all these tricks and these antics to happen.
33:14He's confusing Lowry, getting him questioned, and we're taking him out of the fight.
33:17When we talked to Lowry yesterday, he told us he expected to see this and a whole lot more
33:25in terms of the tactics that the veteran would try to apply once inside the ring.
33:30He said he prepared for those.
33:31But the major thing is, obviously, he didn't, because he'll be right now, he's winning the fight.
33:36And he's applying these things.
33:37He's not jabbing properly.
33:38He's sticking the jab to Camacho.
33:39He's not backing the Camacho off the wall.
33:42He's getting hit where every punch Camacho is throwing.
33:44He's dropping his hands.
33:45So it's not what he's doing, it's what he's not doing to make him lose his fight.
33:48Okay, stop punching.
33:49Camacho continues to make the straight left hand his staple.
33:57Stop punching, step back.
33:59Like I said earlier, Camacho's beating Lowry mentally.
34:02He's mentally draining him.
34:05Look at that big miss by Lowry right there.
34:07He makes Lowry miss, steps away, comes back like there's nothing.
34:10He goes with punches, I mean, this is Camacho.
34:13This is Camacho, this is Camacho, Camacho dance.
34:17Let's go on the back of your head.
34:18This is Lowry's best chance when he's able to get Camacho up against the ropes.
34:23There, Camacho goes with the blade.
34:24He tried to hook Lowry and slip him again.
34:26I don't understand why Camacho saw him on scorecards, why he would do dirty antics by trying to knock down Lowry, trip him up.
34:34It's on court for him.
34:35I mean, Fran, I mean, you know, you shouldn't be doing stuff like that.
34:37He's got him outclassed in our box.
34:42There's no need for any good antics.
34:45One thing that we have come to expect from Hector Camacho is the unexpected.
34:50Both inside the ring and out.
34:59Lowry trying to dig into the body.
35:02Camacho maybe didn't take this fight simply enough.
35:08His mouth wide open, open last round, though, is thick.
35:11Three of them very hard in the corners.
35:13Maybe he didn't train as hard as he should train for Lowry.
35:16Take Lowry light.
35:17Okay, yep.
35:18Let me see.
35:19And that's why he's having frustration here.
35:20Throwing Lowry down, hooking the back leg, throwing something onto the floor.
35:25All the grabbing, all the holding.
35:26Stop punching, step back.
35:28Hey, hey, hey, hey.
35:29What the hell was that?
35:30I figure Lowry's trying to piss Camacho off and get him to a slugfest and hope he gets
35:37the best of it.
35:38That's what Lowry's trying to do.
35:40Armando Garcia earning his money tonight.
35:44Stop punching, stop punching.
35:45Step back.
35:48Time!
35:48Time!
35:49Let's go!
35:50This Monday, February 5th, at 10 p.m. Eastern and Pacific, Sports of the 20th Century presents
36:05Do You Believe in Miracles?
36:06The story of the 1980 U.S. hockey team.
36:12Get some water out of here.
36:14Get some water out of here.
36:16K-O-Nation dancer Keisha Sharp working the crowd.
36:24Here's the seasoned Camacho doing something very illegal here.
36:37He takes his leg.
36:38He hooks around Lowry's leg.
36:39He tries to throw Lowry to the canvas.
36:41Very illegal.
36:43Uncalled for.
36:44It's just an experienced move, but he shouldn't have did it.
36:49The number of punches per round coming down for Hector Camacho.
36:55Let's bring in Julie Letterman.
36:56Julie?
36:57Grant, I got it 60-53.
36:59Six rounds to nothing.
37:00Hector Camacho, who's a straight left hand.
37:02But you know what?
37:03Referee Armando Garcia wisely took that point away from Lowry in round four.
37:07But he just told Camacho, stop the antics or I'm going to take a point away.
37:11So this fight could get interesting if all these points keep taken away.
37:13Hopefully it won't lead to a disqualification.
37:20I believe Hector's a little frustrated because Lowry's beating his head once in a while.
37:23And he gets headbutt.
37:24You know, Camacho does a great deal about his face.
37:26You know?
37:27And by the way, I don't think he wants to get just getting cut by Lowry at all.
37:32Troy Lowry trying to do anything, really, to throw Camacho off his rhythm.
37:37Certainly cannot deal with the speed of Camacho.
37:40He's better off trying to hit Camacho with his fist, not his head.
37:43As they say, put a glove on his head.
37:45He's going to keep hitting him with his head.
37:51Okay, stop going.
37:52Now these moments are too few.
37:53He needs to open up a little bit more and stop backing up.
37:57Touch the Camacho like he was right there.
37:59He's hitting his range and keeping his range.
38:00Okay, Jeff.
38:01He falls in, Camacho ties him up.
38:04And Lowry don't know what to do.
38:05He just don't know what to do.
38:06And he doesn't have enough experience to capitalize when he gets Camacho's back against him.
38:13Lowry's a nine-year veteran.
38:17Has never had a knockout past the sixth round.
38:21And it's looking more and more like he'll need one to win the fight.
38:31Now you see Camacho's doing all kinds of tricks on him.
38:35He's using his shoulders.
38:36He's using his forearms.
38:37He's using his elbows.
38:38He's got the head allowed.
38:39Now he gets away with it.
38:40I mean, Ruffie's going to catch certain things.
38:43Camacho's so fast, so quick.
38:45He gets away with it before Ruffie can catch it.
38:49There you go.
38:50Holding that head allowed.
38:51He's punching underneath.
38:52Go to that corner over there.
38:53One point right here holding and hitting him.
38:55One point right here holding and hitting him.
38:57One point right here holding and hitting him.
38:58One point right here holding and hitting him.
38:58Camacho's sticking to the point.
39:00Fine, you do whatever you want, son.
39:02Let's go, bro.
39:02Armando Garcia taking the point away from Hector Camacho for holding Troy Lowry.
39:20Let's go, stop punching.
39:21Let's see if that point deducted changes to Camacho to a different fighter.
39:37Troy Lowry may not be able to catch up.
39:40He's speaking of Hector Camacho.
39:42Let's go, punch out.
39:43But he certainly is not going anywhere.
39:47Pick it up, pick it up, pick it up.
39:51Let's see if Lowry's picking it up.
39:55Anything this round, it comes back different than next time.
39:57Time!
40:06On February 14th, the premiere of On the Record with Bob Costas.
40:11Emmy-winning broadcaster Bob Costas brings his entertaining style to HBO in this new sports series.
40:18K-O-Nation dancer Tomiko Spica.
40:28Spica, excuse me.
40:33And there you see Camacho Jr.
40:37Ready to make a flamboyant entrance for his junior welterweight bout with Rocky Martinez.
40:42Here's a look at Camacho, how he got the point deducted.
40:52Hold him behind the head, which is illegal.
40:54Throwing punches underneath.
40:56Down the lead, referee storm.
40:58And gave him, took a point away.
40:59Much deserved.
41:00Time!
41:01Time!
41:01Get over there!
41:11The mouthpiece of Hector Camacho falls out.
41:19Time in!
41:19Lowry told us he was going to be more active than Camacho, and he has.
41:28Throwing a total of 395 punches, according to Copybots.
41:32But he's only landed 38.
41:35Just barely below 10%.
41:37That won't get it done.
41:40The shots, like I said, they've been missing.
41:42They've been connecting.
41:44He can throw a lot more punches, but the judges only score the ones that land.
41:47It's tough enough for Lowry's perspective.
42:17to be down in the fight.
42:22But how do you deal with Camacho, a guy who knows how to stay up?
42:27He's got a hand speed.
42:29How many way Lowry can do it right now?
42:30He's getting later in the fight, and right now he's going to knock up the ring.
42:34He's going to go to the body, even though it's very late, okay?
42:37And try to slow Camacho down as much as he can.
42:43Come on, come on.
42:43All right, let's go.
42:50Okay, stop punching.
42:51Step back.
42:53At this point, boxing Camacho at this point is not helpful.
42:57Lowry needs to go in there and try to knock Camacho out in the next game.
43:00If he doesn't, he's going to lose his fight big by decision.
43:02Okay, stop punching.
43:02Come on.
43:05Both fighters becoming a bit fatigued here in the latter round.
43:11Either Hector took off this round, allowing Lowry back into the fight, can't put this round,
43:25or Lowry just figured out how to get inside.
43:28It could be too much to leave.
43:29Let's go.
43:30Come on, come on, come on.
43:31Let's go.
43:32Turn on.
43:32Don't expect a knockout from Troy Lowry, as mentioned.
43:38He's never knocked anyone out past the sixth round.
43:52Watch your head, both of you.
43:53Let go on the back of the head.
43:54Let go on the back of the head.
43:54Let go on the back of the head again.
43:56You're free telling him.
43:57I'm sure he's going to be ducked on the point when he's one of the asses.
43:59How much?
44:00Get back.
44:00The savvy skill of Camacho, using all his skills.
44:13Hey, both of these gloves, I need them fixed right now.
44:20All right, Kevin, Camacho's best attribute of the fight so far, his straight left hand.
44:27He's utilized it brilliantly throughout the fight, catching Lowry time and time again.
44:34All different directions, all different ways.
44:36There he goes, straight left hand.
44:36He steps to the side.
44:38After he hits him with the left hand, he steps to the side so that Lowry can't connect.
44:41So Lowry don't know where Camacho wins when he gets hit.
44:43Yeah, he's got to stop.
44:45Good, boy.
44:46Okay.
44:48Rinse this.
44:51Do a decent job there, please, okay?
44:53Put them hands down.
44:55Okay.
44:56Beautiful.
44:56Keep your distance.
44:57Check his out.
44:58Check his out.
44:58Check his out.
44:59Check his out.
44:59Check his out.
44:59Check his out.
45:00Check his out.
45:01Check his out.
45:01Check his out.
45:01Check his out.
45:01Check his out.
45:02Chicago Cubs slugger, Sammy Sosa in the house.
45:05Sammy, how are you doing?
45:06Oh, my God!
45:07Oh, my God!
45:08The ninth round, scheduled for ten, between Hector Camacho and Troy Lowry.
45:20Incidentally, Lowry has never been past eight rounds.
45:26Another first for Troy Lowry.
45:29I'll tell you one thing, Fran.
45:30This one is packed with busting out of scenes.
45:33I mean, everybody's cramped into this room.
45:36Some people are standing.
45:36Some people are sitting.
45:38You see the Camacho show.
45:44It's a unique venue, level nightclub, in South Beach, Miami.
45:50But it fits right into the extravagant style of Hector Camacho, Sr. and Jr.
46:01As soon as we're off the air, the DJ will line it up, and there'll be plenty of answers.
46:07Let's go.
46:08Let's go!
46:12Okay, let's go stop punching.
46:14Margin of the little fatigue here.
46:15He's not throwing it, but he put him through prior rounds to this.
46:19Okay, stop punching.
46:19Step back.
46:19He's slowing down a lot, allowing Lowry into this fight.
46:23Even though it was very late in the fight, Lowry, I still can't see him in this fight.
46:26I got his score at 69-62, of course, unofficially.
46:30But there's also a chance that Lowry came into the fight and tried to get a knockout, but I don't believe so.
46:39Kevin, is Hector Camacho impressive enough to do tonight?
46:44To legitimize...
46:45Hey, stop punching, stick out.
46:48Discontinuance in the ring.
46:49Sometimes they say this rule.
46:51It's not that you're fighting, it's what you're fighting.
46:53You're fighting a Lowry, a much more inexperienced fighter.
46:56Not only the caliber of Hector Camacho, of course.
46:58And he still has his attributes.
47:01I'm sure any promoter looking at him tonight will say, you know what?
47:04He's a remarkable name.
47:05I can put him in with one of the other champions that possibly he could beat at this weight class.
47:13That could be Javier Castillo, where he wants to fight.
47:16Let's go, let's go, let's go to the back of your head.
47:20Watch out of there.
47:23So this fight then, in your estimation, is not telling us much.
47:28It's not.
47:29It's not telling us much because the opponent is outclassing and outboxing from all one.
47:34Lowry's inexperience is affecting this fight.
47:36He might want to do certain things, but he can't.
47:39He doesn't have the experience to do the things that he needs to do to take the fight to Hector.
47:43He'll take Hector out of this fight.
47:50Let's go, step back.
47:51Hector Camacho bruising through nine rounds.
47:56Okay, stop punching.
48:02Step back.
48:05Time!
48:09He's ready, he's ready.
48:10He's dead.
48:11Okay?
48:12Come on, baby.
48:14Come on.
48:16Come on.
48:17He's good, Mach.
48:18He's good, Mach.
48:23He's dead.
48:24This is the last run.
48:25He don't have nothing more.
48:27Okay?
48:29Come on, baby.
48:30Last run.
48:31He don't have nothing more.
48:33He's dead.
48:36He don't have nothing.
48:38Let's try this last run.
48:40Come on.
48:40You can't get close to him.
48:42You can't let your hands go.
48:43Let's get this round.
48:46Okay?
48:47You know tomorrow after today, you got to punch.
48:50Okay?
48:51Ain't no looking back.
48:52Don't leave nothing in your tank right now.
48:56There's no tomorrow.
48:57Let's go!
49:06Last round.
49:07As we start the 10th and final round, let's bring in Julie Letterman to see how she has
49:13the fight score.
49:13Julie?
49:14I've got it 88-81, all for Hector Camacho Sr. once again.
49:18In round 7, we saw a point taken away from Camacho Sr. this time for holding behind the
49:23head.
49:24And I thought Lowry came on in round 8, landing the body shots to win the round, but once
49:28again in round 9, we saw Camacho landing that straight left hand down the middle, and
49:32actually a few combinations this time.
49:35Come on, come on, come on, come on.
49:37Just to show you how tough of a battle it's been for Troy Lowry, he's landed in single digits
49:47in every round.
49:52Okay, stop watching, step back.
49:53Let's go, come on, come on, come on, come on.
50:16Come on, let's go.
50:16Say what you want about Hector Camacho.
50:25Okay, stop punching.
50:26Whether you believe he should retire.
50:31Camacho has been in with the best.
50:35He's fought 12 current or former world champions.
50:41He's still got past legs, fast hands.
50:45He's got all that seasoning.
50:46Like I said, it's a matter of motivation.
50:48You know, what wakes you up in the morning and makes you go running?
50:50What makes you go to the gym?
50:51What keeps you alive at 38 in boxing?
50:54That's the question mark left for Hector.
50:56How long can you stay motivated to keep doing this thing every day?
51:00This is awesome.
51:00This is the school of hard knocks, this game.
51:02This game is definitely the school of hard knocks.
51:04You get knocked around, you get beat up, and you got to want to wake up in the morning
51:07and say, you know what?
51:07I want to do this tomorrow.
51:09A Hall of Fame career in your own estimation?
51:11Oh, most definitely.
51:11I mean, you can't forget Hector Camacho.
51:14And other fighters try to remind you of him.
51:17But all these ring entrances, you got Prince of May, and Roy Jones, and they call him music
51:20and different outfits and costumes.
51:23So definitely Camacho's legacy is definitely in effect.
51:26Hector Camacho says he wants one more shot at a world title.
51:41His biggest payday, $3 million, twice against who he is, Cesar Chavez, and Oscar de la Hoya.
51:48He won't get that at this stage in his career.
51:51Come on, come on.
51:51But he wants to go out on top.
51:53And as long as he says boxing is fun, he will continue to fight.
51:58Okay, let's go.
51:59Stop punches.
51:59Step out.
52:00Come on, come on.
52:09Come on.
52:16That's how you do it, Cam.
52:18That's how you do it, eh?
52:20All right.
52:24A-B.
52:28Hey, Hector.
52:33Hector.
52:34Hey.
52:35Hey.
52:36Good play, man.
52:38All right.
52:39Now you remember?
52:40Not too bad for white boy, huh?
52:42Come on.
52:45Yeah, baby.
52:46Ten rounds.
52:48Ten rounds.
52:50All right.
52:51Our internet audience speaking loudly.
52:53They believe Camacho Sr. proves to victory.
