From the death of Kings, to JFK, to Hitler and WWII, his predictions cannot be explained with rationality.
Nostradamus, the great mystic, seer and prophet may have also predicted the end of civilization as we know it.

00:00:00To be continued...
00:00:30There are some people who have walked this plant that leave behind them a legacy so profound
00:00:52that their name is remembered for generations.
00:01:00They affect society and draw around them followers.
00:01:18Sometimes these people become messiahs.
00:01:21Others they become serial killers.
00:01:34Nostradamus will be remembered in the annals of history, firstly as a prophet and seer.
00:01:41Others will remember him as a con artist, thief and liar.
00:01:55As is ever the case, it is often a matter of belief.
00:02:09Welcome to the world of the world's most famous and infamous prophet.
00:02:15Welcome to Nostradamus.
00:02:27Nostradamus was a physician who believed he could predict the future.
00:02:32He published these predictions in the prophecies.
00:02:45Some believe they have or will come true.
00:02:49Others believe that they are the ramblings of a madman or even a method of making money.
00:02:55He was born Michel de Nostradame in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France in 1503.
00:03:14He was one of nine children.
00:03:28His parents were Renier de Saint-Rémy and her husband, James de Nostradame, who was a grain
00:03:35dealer and a notary of Jewish descent.
00:03:48The family name was altered when his grandfather converted to Catholicism to avoid persecution.
00:04:02He was born Michel de Nostradame.
00:04:07We know very little about his childhood, other than he seems to have been fairly intelligent
00:04:13and did well in school.
00:04:18He learned Latin, Greek, Hebrew and mathematics.
00:04:31And some believe he was taught ancient Jewish mythology and astrology by his grandfather.
00:04:41It is said he studied medicine and became a doctor.
00:04:52The story goes that he treated plague victims in France and Italy.
00:04:56The tale gets more interesting when we read that he had a kind of psychic awakening and started
00:05:02to practice the occult and astrology.
00:05:08Soon, he was making predictions about the future.
00:05:19But his journey into the mystical world begins at the age of 14 when he entered the University
00:05:26of Avignon to study medicine.
00:05:39After only one year, he was forced to leave because of an outbreak of the plague.
00:05:47He claims that he decided to travel across the country at this time, seeking out cures and
00:06:01working as an apothecary.
00:06:06By 1522, he was once again back in university.
00:06:18This time, he was in Montpellier to try and finish his doctorate in medicine.
00:06:25The Catholic priests in authority didn't like his interest in astrology and his previous work
00:06:39as an apocryphor and so he was dismissed.
00:06:49Other accounts state that he in fact did finish his doctorate in 1525, but this part of the
00:07:00tale is very sketchy and not to be trusted.
00:07:15It was at this time of re-invention that he changed his name to Nostradamus in place of
00:07:25Nostradame.
00:07:26And let this be a pointer upon the road of this man's life.
00:07:30That he did re-invent himself.
00:07:32In fact, he created himself.
00:07:35He wrote his own biography as he moved along.
00:07:39And so be careful of what you are told about the man.
00:07:42Historians often dismiss 99% of the tales that can be found on the internet.
00:08:07For the next few years, Nostradamus traveled throughout France and Italy.
00:08:12We are led to believe that he wandered around treating the people of plague.
00:08:30Instead of the usual bloodletting and mercury-poisoned potions, we are told that this clever half-doctor
00:08:37instead introduced hygiene controls and the removal of infected corpses from the streets.
00:08:43Invented a rose pill, which was a lozenge made of rose hips, which is now known to be high in vitamin C.
00:09:05It may have aided those with minor plague symptoms.
00:09:20Through the use of this lozenge, hygiene, low-fat diets and fresh air, Nostradamus made a name for himself as a kind of miracle doctor.
00:09:30In 1531, he was invited to work with his wife, Nostradamus made a name for his wife, Nostradamus.
00:09:40Soon, the money started to roll in from the citizens of Provence, who appreciated his skills.
00:09:45In 1531, he was invited to work with the leading scholar of the time, Jules César Scaliger in Hagen in southwestern France.
00:10:06There he married and in the next few years had two children.
00:10:21In 1534, his wife and children died, presumably of the plague, while he was travelling on a medical mission to Italy.
00:10:31Not being able to save his wife and children caused him to fall out of favour in the community and with his patron Scaliger.
00:10:48By 1538, he was being accused of heresy and ordered to appear before the Catholic Inquisition.
00:11:05And so, he duly escaped to Italy, Greece and Turkey for a few years to let the heat dissipate.
00:11:13During his travels to the ancient mystery schools, it is believed that Nostradamus experienced a psychic awakening.
00:11:32One of the legends of Nostradamus says that, during his travels in Italy, he came upon a group of Franciscan monks, identifying one as the future Pope.
00:11:43The monk, called Felice Peretti, was ordained Pope Sixtus V in 1585, fulfilling the prediction of Nostradamus.
00:11:53He was soon pretty sure he had escaped the clutches of the Inquisition, and so returned to France, where in 1547, he settled down in his home town of Salon de Provence.
00:12:20He then proceeded to cleverly marry a wealthy widow called Anne Ponsard.
00:12:37They had six children together, and he published two books on medical science.
00:12:42Things were looking good.
00:12:55It didn't take long for him to move more and more away from medical science and towards the world of the occult.
00:13:04The story goes that he would spend many hours alone in his study, staring into a bowl of clear water, whereupon he received his visions of future events.
00:13:29By 1550, he had completed his first Almanac of Prophecies, based upon his visions and astrology.
00:13:44He was, in fact, cashing in on one of the most popular genres at the time.
00:13:57Almanacs were used for all manner of things, from farmers and merchants to just pure entertainment.
00:14:03His book was very well received, and fame of this amazing mystic spread rapidly across France.
00:14:19And so he wrote more.
00:14:30By 1554, his focus was almost entirely on the prophecies, and he decided to write a grand opus entitled Centuries.
00:14:47The plan was for 10 volumes, which would contain 100 predictions, forecasting the next 2,000 years.
00:15:03In 1555, he published The Prophecies, which was a huge collection of his major long-term predictions.
00:15:16He claimed that the obscure nature of his prophecies was in order to void the scrutiny of the Catholic Church.
00:15:25He wrote them in what are known as quatrains, or four-line verses.
00:15:39He mixed in Greek, Latin, Italian, and Provencal to confuse things even more.
00:15:48They were a kind of clever 16th century puzzle book that allowed readers to see almost anything they wanted to.
00:16:02A win-win situation.
00:16:05There were many accusations.
00:16:20Some said he was the servant of the devil, and others said he was either a fraud or simply insane.
00:16:28But his followers grew and grew.
00:16:30Thousands started to believe that his prophecies were spiritually inspired.
00:16:51But his followers grew.
00:16:52Soon, the elite across Europe began to demand his books and presents.
00:17:03Catherine de Medici, who was the wife of King Henry II of France, counted herself amongst his greatest followers.
00:17:16His 1555 almanac hinted at a great threat to the royal family.
00:17:27And so, he was summoned to appear before Catherine in Paris to explain himself.
00:17:37He dutifully explained and proceeded to draw up astrological charts for the royal children.
00:17:47He was soon made royal counselor and physician to King Henry's court.
00:18:02Nostradamus also explained to the royals that one of his previous predictions from the book,
00:18:07Centuries One, told of a young lion who would overcome the older one on the field of battle.
00:18:28The young lion would pierce the older one's eye.
00:18:32He explained that in truth, he wanted the king to avoid a jousting match.
00:18:38Alas, three years later, King Henry, then 41 years old, died when jousting and a lance pierced his eye and entered his brain.
00:18:48He died an agonizing death ten days later from infection.
00:18:53He died an agonizing death ten days later.
00:18:56But just how did Nostradamus manage to come up with these predictions?
00:19:12Well, he claimed that he used what is known as judicial astrology.
00:19:18This is when future events can supposedly be predicted by calculating the relationships between stellar bodies and the earth.
00:19:43He said he used classical sources such as Plutarch and medieval chronicles.
00:19:53This may in fact be true because modern historians claim that what Nostradamus really did was to steal ancient end of the world prophecies from places such as the Bible.
00:20:05And then, using his astrological readings of the past, he simply projected them forward.
00:20:12Professional astrologers actually said he was incompetent and that such a method would not work.
00:20:33be true.
00:20:38His skills, however, did not help him with his own gout and arthritis.
00:20:43And in the last few years of his life, he developed dropsy.
00:20:47This is known as edema and it simply means that fluid accumulates beneath the skin and cavities of the body and could cause heart failure.
00:20:56In June, 1566, he knew the end was closing in and drew up a will, leaving almost everything to his wife and children.
00:21:16He told his secretary, you will not find me alive at sunrise.
00:21:27The next morning, he was reportedly found dead lying on the floor next to his bed.
00:21:33His life's work had a profound effect on the people of Europe.
00:21:41They mainly dealt with war, disasters, death, plagues, earthquakes, floods, droughts and murder.
00:21:48Thousands of followers across the centuries firmly believe that Nostradamus created the most accurate prophecies of any mystic throughout time.
00:22:09Others say he was nothing but a charlatan.
00:22:21It is believed he predicted the French Revolution, the rise of Adolf Hitler and Napoleon, the attacks of September the 11th and even the atomic bomb.
00:22:39The beauty of the vagueness of his writings means that almost anything can be attributed to them.
00:22:52To this day, the works are being researched by adherents to see if they can discover future events.
00:22:58Looking back over them, it is child's play to attribute events to past writings because they can be taken so many ways.
00:23:15However, regardless of our 21st century analytical science, let us ask the question.
00:23:35Is it possible that a mystic from the 16th century could somehow look into the future?
00:23:41He did, in fact, make over 1,000 predictions and some followers claim over half of these have already come true.
00:24:02It's now time to investigate some of these to seek out the truth.
00:24:06We turn to the most famous, the prediction of the death of King Henry II of France.
00:24:17Here's what Nostradamus wrote.
00:24:20The young lion will overcome the older one on the field of combat in a single battle.
00:24:27He will pierce his eyes through a golden cage.
00:24:30Two wounds made one.
00:24:33Then he dies the cruel death.
00:24:51As we have already seen, Henry was warned not to joust, but he did.
00:24:54King Henry II, as the older lion, faced the Comte de Montgomery as the young lion.
00:25:01Both combatants had lions on their shields.
00:25:05In the final pass, Montgomery thrust his lance through the king's visor.
00:25:10The lance split into two shards or, as Nostradamus said, the two wounds made one.
00:25:16One went through Henry's eye and one through his temple.
00:25:21Ten days later, the old lion was dead.
00:25:23So what about another famous prediction, the great fire of London?
00:25:30Here's what Nostradamus said.
00:25:32The blood of the just will be demanded of London.
00:25:35The blood of the just will be demanded of London.
00:25:37Burnt by fire in the year 66…
00:25:39The ancient lady will fall from her high place…
00:25:43and many of the same sect will be killed.
00:25:48So what about another famous prediction?
00:25:50What about another famous prediction, the great fire of London?
00:25:53This is what Nostradamus said.
00:25:55The blood of the just will be demanded of London.
00:25:58Burnt by fire in the year 66…
00:26:00The ancient Lady will fall from her high place…
00:26:02And many of the same sect will be killed.
00:26:03Here's what happened, in 1666, on September the 2nd,
00:26:25a small fire started in a bakery in London.
00:26:28The result was a massive fire that lasted for three days
00:26:32and consumed the city.
00:26:34What exactly the blood of the just means, nobody's sure.
00:26:39Some believe it refers to the millions of rats that died.
00:26:43By the way, it seems a pretty clever and accurate prediction.
00:27:02An even bigger and far-reaching prediction
00:27:05is that of the French Revolution.
00:27:07Here's what Nostradamus said.
00:27:10From the enslaved populace, songs chants and demands,
00:27:15while princes and lords are held captive in prisons.
00:27:19These will, in the future, by endless idiots,
00:27:22will be received as divine prayers.
00:27:42Well, the enslaved presence did rise up
00:27:45with chants and demands.
00:27:47Indeed, they even wrote songs.
00:27:50They took control of Paris because they had simply had enough
00:27:53of the way the aristocracy were treating them.
00:27:56These princes and lords were held captive
00:27:59and did have their heads taken off
00:28:01with the infamous guillotine.
00:28:07However, much of this could relate
00:28:09to many periods of revolt in history,
00:28:12and there is no mention of specifics.
00:28:20So what about that famous Hitler prediction?
00:28:22Here's what Nostradamus said.
00:28:23Here's what Nostradamus said.
00:28:24From the depths of the west of Europe,
00:28:27a young child will be born of poor people.
00:28:27He who by his tongue will seduce a great troop.
00:28:30A young child will be born of poor people.
00:28:31He who by his tongue will seduce a great troop.
00:28:32His fame will increase towards the realm of the east.
00:28:48Beasts ferocious with hunger will cross the rivers.
00:28:48The greater part of the battlefield
00:28:50will be against history.
00:28:53A young child will be born of poor people.
00:28:55And he who by his tongue will seduce a great troop.
00:28:58of the battlefield will be against history.
00:29:02Into a cage of iron will the great one be drawn
00:29:06when the child of Germany's observes nothing.
00:29:08While this is quite different, there are plenty of specifics to play with.
00:29:32What happened in history and does it relate to the prediction?
00:29:37Hitler was in fact born on April 20th, 1889 in Western Europe to very poor parents.
00:29:44Nostradamus said he would be from the depths of the Western Europe,
00:29:48a young child born of poor people.
00:29:51Well that's pretty close.
00:29:59Hitler moved to Germany after World War I and did in fact rise to be a legendary leader
00:30:04through his amazing methods of speaking.
00:30:11Nostradamus said by his tongue will seduce a great troop, he was pretty damn close.
00:30:27Nostradamus said by his tongue will seduce a great troop, he was pretty damn close.
00:30:33When Nostradamus said his fame will increase towards the realm of the East,
00:30:46was he really talking about how Hitler created a massive alliance with Japan?
00:30:53Nostradamus said beasts ferocious with hunger will cross rivers,
00:31:12was he really talking about the way the beasts of the German army crossed river after river
00:31:17to invade and conquer France and most of Europe?
00:31:32When Nostradamus said the greater part of the battlefield will be against Hista,
00:31:38was he really talking about how the rest of the world created a grand alliance to take him
00:31:43and his Nazi party down?
00:32:01Apart from the obvious misspelling of Hista, this is a pretty clever set of links
00:32:06to something that Nostradamus could never have known about.
00:32:10In fact, Hista was a name for the river Danube and Hitler was born on the banks of the river Danube in Austria.
00:32:34It is also claimed that Nostradamus predicted the atomic bomb.
00:32:38Here's what he said.
00:32:40Near the gates and within two cities, there will be scourges the like of which was never seen.
00:32:48Famine within plague, people put out by steel, crying to the great immortal God for relief.
00:32:55How can this really have anything to do with the atomic bomb?
00:33:16Well in 1945, the USA did in fact drop two atomic bombs on Japan.
00:33:21In fact, two cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
00:33:26So this explains the line.
00:33:28Near the gates, within two cities.
00:33:32The scourges, the likes of which have never been seen,
00:33:36obviously could mean a super weapon such as the atom bomb.
00:33:40Indeed, thousands survived the horrendous ordeal and were crying to the great immortal God for relief
00:33:46due to their radiation poisoning.
00:34:00Even further into the future for Nostradamus were the murders of John F. Kennedy and his brother Bobby Kennedy.
00:34:08Many saw this golden family as modern day royalty coming to the rescue of the USA.
00:34:14And the world in a time of cold war and fear.
00:34:18They were truly seen by many as great.
00:34:21Here's what Nostradamus predicted.
00:34:24The great man will be struck down in the day by a thunderbolt.
00:34:29An evil deed foretold by the bearer of a petition.
00:34:33According to the prediction, another falls at night time.
00:34:37Conflict at Reims, Long and a pestilence in Tuscany.
00:34:49The great man was struck down after receiving many death threats.
00:35:00Deeds that were foretold.
00:35:02On November the 22nd, 1963, JFK was gunned down as if by a thunderbolt.
00:35:09Five years later, Bobby Kennedy was killed just after midnight or as Nostradamus said,
00:35:16another falls at night time.
00:35:41The date, September the 11th, 2001,
00:35:44is now ingrained in the minds of all modern people.
00:35:48The day the terrorists struck.
00:35:50But did you know many believe Nostradamus predicted the attacks?
00:35:55Here's what he said.
00:35:57Earth-shaking fire from the center of the earth
00:36:00will cause tremors around the new city.
00:36:03Two great rocks will war for a long time.
00:36:07Then Arethusa will redden a new river.
00:36:14This is claimed to actually be about 9-1-1.
00:36:27In fact, it is slightly twisted by modern conspiracy theories.
00:36:32The original quatrain reads,
00:36:34sea of fire at the world center.
00:36:37The tower of the new city will tremble.
00:36:40Two great blocks will be at war for a long time.
00:36:44Then Arethusa will redden a new river.
00:36:46Yes, two towers were taken out by terrorists or, as the followers believe, the two great rocks.
00:36:54The world trade center is thought to have something to do with the statement,
00:36:58fire from the center of the earth.
00:37:01The problem here is when Nostradamus wrote these, there was a new city.
00:37:06And it was Napoli, which lies between two great and powerfully dangerous rocks known as volcanoes.
00:37:13He was, in fact, simply talking about earthquakes hitting Napoli, as they often have.
00:37:20This often causes the sea to rise and redden.
00:37:24Arethusa was, in fact, a Greek water nymph that would rise.
00:37:27It is nothing more.
00:37:40However, while we are on the subject of earthquakes,
00:37:44there is, in fact, a prediction from Nostradamus about a coming earthquake
00:37:49that many believe predicts a terrible disaster in California.
00:37:53Here's what he said.
00:37:54The sloping park.
00:37:56Great calamity.
00:37:58Through the lands of the west and Lombardy.
00:38:01The fire in the ship.
00:38:03Plague and captivity.
00:38:04Mercury in Sagittarius.
00:38:06Saturn fading.
00:38:07This may not yet have come true.
00:38:15Followers have to decide what it may mean.
00:38:19The sloping park.
00:38:20Great calamity.
00:38:21Is thought to literally mean earthquake.
00:38:24Sloping earth causing calamity.
00:38:26The lands to the west is thought to mean California.
00:38:35Although why Lombardy in France is mentioned, we do not know.
00:38:39The fact remains that this could simply be yet another one of the 1000 predictions
00:38:57that are so obscure they could mean almost anything from any period in history.
00:39:06Nostradamus explains that the reason his prophecies are so obscure was to avoid
00:39:12persecution from the Inquisition.
00:39:14He also gives this as the reasoning why the quatrains are not in chronological order.
00:39:24Nostradamus left his predictions in the form of almost 1000 four line verses called quatrains
00:39:30and a collection of six line verses called 16s.
00:39:34The prophecies are not sequential by date.
00:39:37Which makes it easier to attribute any of them to any tale you want from any period.
00:39:44Although there are many coincidences, it does not prove accurate prophecy.
00:39:57There are no accuracies, no specific dates, no specific places.
00:40:02Nothing specific actually.
00:40:04Nostradamus concealed his meanings in symbols, anagrams, mythology,
00:40:14and mixed it up with all the use of several old languages.
00:40:18He combined three languages, mixed it all together with symbolism and cryptic messages,
00:40:28and then put them in four line verses.
00:40:36However, followers repeat that Nostradamus had to hide his meanings because of the Catholic Church,
00:40:41the Catholic Church, but he did not use magic and was followed and patronized by the powerful elite,
00:40:47and thus he was protected.
00:40:49He was not prosecuted.
00:40:51He could have been more specific.
00:40:59Followers also say that his visions into the future must have been so confusing to a man of the 16th century.
00:41:07Seeing the technology of the 21st century would have confused him greatly, they say.
00:41:17He would not have had the language to explain airplanes, for instance.
00:41:21In short, his use of language was chaotic and obscure.
00:41:31He hid locations and people in symbolism and anagrams.
00:41:35He's referenced astrological readings that most could not even understand,
00:41:40and thus confused people even more.
00:41:43In addition to this, astrological readings are by their very nature vague.
00:41:49Vagueness upon vagueness.
00:41:57However, we have seen some of the past events that Nostradamus supposedly predicted.
00:42:03Are there prophecies for our future?
00:42:06There are indeed, and one of them is quite scary and speaks of the coming three Antichrists.
00:42:18He said they would lead their people through reigns of terror, after first seducing them with promises of greatness.
00:42:33Napoleon is thought to have been the first of these Antichrists.
00:42:43Here's what he said about Napoleon.
00:42:47An emperor shall be born near Italy, who shall cost the empire dear.
00:42:52They shall say with what people he keeps company.
00:42:56He shall be found less a prince than a butcher.
00:42:59Napoleon was indeed considered a butcher, even by his supporters.
00:43:04And he did cost the French empire dearly in both manpower and political strength.
00:43:13From a simple soldier, he will rise to the empire.
00:43:17From the short road, he will attain the long.
00:43:20Great swarms of bees shall rise.
00:43:23Amazingly, when Napoleon became emperor, he took on the symbol of the beehive on his imperial crest.
00:43:31Was he a simple soldier?
00:43:33Well, he was born on the island of Corsica, which followers say is an unlikely place for a future emperor to emerge.
00:43:41Napoleon destroyed Moscow, and some believe that is what Nostradamus was pointing to when he wrote,
00:43:48a great troop shall come through Russia.
00:43:51The destroyer shall ruin a city.
00:43:58Napoleon's forces, in fact, advanced too far into the country and got trapped in the Russian winter.
00:44:05Napoleon at a retreat, and this is what Nostradamus said.
00:44:09The rear guard will make defense.
00:44:12The exhausted ones will die in the white territory.
00:44:17He also said the great empire will soon be exchanged for a small place, which will soon begin to grow.
00:44:27A small place of tiny area in the middle of which he will come to lay down his scepter.
00:44:34The captive prince, Conquer, is sent to Elba.
00:44:38He will sail across the Gulf of Genoa to Marseille.
00:44:42By a great effort of the foreign forces, he is overcome.
00:44:46Though he escaped the fire, his bees yield blood by the barrel.
00:44:55Amazingly, Napoleon was exiled to the small island of Elba, from which he escaped for 100 days.
00:45:02After a defeat at Waterloo, he relinquished all power for exile on tiny Saint Helena.
00:45:13So that's the first Antichrist, who was the second.
00:45:16Nostradamus wrote about a man stained with murder, the great enemy of the human race.
00:45:23Nostradamus, one who was worse than any who had gone before, bloody and immune.
00:45:35Most followers of Nostradamus agree that he was referring to Adolf Hitler.
00:45:40We have already heard the following quatrain about Hitler.
00:45:44Out of the deepest part of the west of Europe, from poor people to the young child shall be born,
00:45:50who with his tongue shall seduce many people, his fame shall increase in the eastern kingdom.
00:45:57Born to poor parents, powerful speaker, uniting with Japan.
00:46:01But Nostradamus also tells us about Hitler in other ways.
00:46:06Here's what he said.
00:46:08He shall come to tyrannise the land.
00:46:10He shall raise up a hatred that had long been dormant.
00:46:15The child of Germany observes no lord, cries and tears, fire, blood and battle.
00:46:21The captain of Germany shall come to yield himself by false hope,
00:46:26so that his revolt shall cause great bloodshed.
00:46:36Nobody who knows the history of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party will now see the similarities.
00:46:44This child of Germany seduced his people and raised a dormant threat.
00:46:49He did ignore all the treaties from World War I, or as Nostradamus said,
00:46:54the child of Germany observes no law.
00:46:57He did raise false hope and he did bring great bloodshed.
00:47:01One thing we know is that the death of Hitler has been surrounded in mystery.
00:47:13Was his body swept away by the Russians?
00:47:16Was it completely destroyed?
00:47:18Did he live and escape to South America?
00:47:21Nostradamus supposedly predicted the rise, life, death and uncertainty of the evil Hitler.
00:47:29Here's what he said.
00:47:31Near the Rhine, from the Austrian mountains,
00:47:35will be born a great man of the people, come too late.
00:47:39A man who will defend Poland and Hungary, and whose fate will never be certain.
00:47:51So there we have two Antichrists.
00:47:54What about the third?
00:47:55This evil-doer will be more hideous than the other two.
00:47:59Firstly, Nostradamus tells us where this man will emerge.
00:48:04Out of the country of Greater Arabia shall be born a strong master of Mohammed.
00:48:10He will enter Europe wearing a blue turban.
00:48:13He will be the terror of mankind.
00:48:16Never more horror.
00:48:25To our modern Western ears, this sounds like some kind of terrible Islamic terrorist.
00:48:34From Greater Arabia, a strong master of Mohammed.
00:48:38Enter in Europe, and he will be the terror of mankind.
00:48:42Scared yet?
00:48:43Is Nostradamus telling us that a great man from Greater Arabia is going to invade Europe with his army?
00:48:55But what will be the outcome?
00:48:57Well, he explains, in the year 1999 and seven months, from the sky will come the great king of terror.
00:49:07He will bring back to life the king of the Mongols, before and after war reigns.
00:49:13Of course, there's a problem here with the date, isn't there?
00:49:23Well, not necessarily.
00:49:25In 1999 and seven months, a great terror comes.
00:49:30Well, the seventh month is July.
00:49:32And not a lot happened in 1999 in terrorist circles.
00:49:37What did happen was this.
00:49:40A series of massive terrorist attacks in Russia.
00:49:44Killing more than 300 people and injuring over 1,000.
00:49:53The official Russian investigation of the bombings was completed in 2002.
00:49:59And concluded that all the bombings were organized and led by a Russian who remains at large.
00:50:06And ordered two infamous Islamic warlords who have since been killed.
00:50:16Five other suspects have been killed.
00:50:19And six have been convicted by Russian courts on terrorism related charges.
00:50:24Five other suspects have been killed.
00:50:28However, according to historians, the bombings were coordinated by the Russian state security
00:50:34services to bring Putin into the presidency.
00:50:37Now, this really is ushering in a period of instability.
00:50:42Both the West and the East support opposing sides in the worldwide terrorist scene.
00:50:47And Putin has been a big player.
00:50:54Is he the third antichrist helping to bring Arabian terrorist army into Europe?
00:51:07According to Nostradamus, this will all bring about the third world war that will last 27 years.
00:51:16The world will come face to face with its final destruction, here's what he says, the
00:51:28sky will burn at 45 degrees, fire approaches the great new city, so 45 degrees latitude
00:51:37and a new city, this is New York.
00:51:44A great fire will approach New York City and as Nostradamus says, by fire he will destroy
00:51:53their city, a cold and cruel heart, blood will pour, mercy to none.
00:52:00Doesn't sound too good does it?
00:52:07So how does Nostradamus believe this will all end?
00:52:11When those of the northern pole are united, in the east will be great fear and dread.
00:52:18One day the two great leaders will be friends.
00:52:21Their great power will be seen to grow.
00:52:24The new land will be at the height of its power.
00:52:28To the man of blood the number is reported.
00:52:32Basically, Nostradamus is telling us there will be a peace between east and west.
00:52:37This new land is what they knew as America.
00:52:40And the countries of the northern pole is quite possibly Russia.
00:52:45So it seems these two nations will use terrorism to bring about a third world war.
00:52:55And then after 27 years, a peace accord will be signed.
00:53:00Of course, all of this is wide open to interpretation.
00:53:10Things just aren't specific.
00:53:12And we have to make huge assumptions.
00:53:15So called experts have been doing this for centuries.
00:53:19Apparently, the world is going to end in 1666, 1999, 2012 and now 2096.
00:53:34Even though Nostradamus never in fact said any of that.
00:53:44In fact, he said we would overcome and survive.
00:53:48He even said that we could change the course of these events if we wanted to.
00:54:00He did predict the end of the world.
00:54:02But the dates are argued over and could be 3786 or 3797.
00:54:14Before we get carried away by all of this, we have to remember that the man was not at all what he seemed.
00:54:23And that his prophecies were so vague they can and have been twisted and turned with every passing year.
00:54:29There is more to Nostradamus than his published prophecies.
00:54:38In fact, he wrote letters.
00:54:40And there is one particular letter he wrote to his newborn son called Caesar.
00:54:50In this letter, he wrote about future events and the end of times.
00:54:54He predicted that the world would go through a series of great floods.
00:55:07These floods would end in a great catastrophe for mankind.
00:55:12A huge comet storm would hit planet Earth.
00:55:15After this, there is nothing.
00:55:24It's almost as if he's telling us there will be no future for mankind.
00:55:29Never in the history of mankind has there been a time when this could possibly come true.
00:55:46Now is the time.
00:55:47Humanity has caused such utter calamity and destruction on our beautiful planet that we have in fact instigated our own death.
00:56:04We have caused the Earth to warm through our poisonous behavior.
00:56:14And this is melting the icebergs of the world.
00:56:23The seas are rising.
00:56:25Coastal regions are disappearing at alarming rates.
00:56:29and the poisoned oceans of the world are heading our way.
00:56:42Never in the history of mankind could we safely predict a storm of comets.
00:56:48Because never in the history of mankind has there been the technology for humanity
00:56:53to launch intercontinental ballistic missiles at each other.
00:57:07To a man from the 16th century such things would appear to be comets.
00:57:12Great streaming strands of fire and smoke falling down to Earth before our eyes
00:57:17and bringing the end of mankind as we know it.
00:57:26This is exactly what Nostradamus wrote to his child.
00:57:31But, my son, I tell you that I have seen it thus.
00:57:36There will be floods of such nature that no place on this world will not be affected.
00:57:42And for a long time everything will be beneath the surface of water.
00:57:48And everything will be destroyed.
00:57:51With the exception of the weather and space.
00:57:55After these floods such a great amount of fire of glowing stones will fall from the sky.
00:58:02That nothing will be able to escape this last destructive firestorm.
00:58:06The problem is that the dating is difficult.
00:58:16It may be that he indicated this would happen 7,000 years after his writing of the letter.
00:58:22But this goes against other prediction dates for the end of the world.
00:58:26The events of flood and glowing stones falling from the sky are not vague.
00:58:48And we now know what these could mean.
00:58:50There are though more clues about the end times when we return to his prophecies about the third antichrist.
00:59:07We turn back to his specifics about the army employed by this evil doer.
00:59:12The army of the enemy of peace will march towards Europe.
00:59:28They will emerge from the south of Russia.
00:59:31And through Turkey they will invade Europe.
00:59:33This army will also have a naval counterpart that Nostradamus called the Libyan fleet.
00:59:41It will move into the Mediterranean.
00:59:44And there will be a massive naval war in the Adriatic.
00:59:56Malta, Sicily, Sardinia and other islands will be destroyed.
01:00:00Again, never in the history of mankind has there been such firepower with the ability to wipe out islands until now.
01:00:21Throughout this conflict it is believed that Russia will be against the west.
01:00:26Although Nostradamus is not clear.
01:00:28He does state that the Russians will be friendly with the west eventually.
01:00:33And that their leader will be the one who will set things right.
01:00:37The reason for this is because Russia soon realises that they need to ally themselves with the west in order to defeat the easterners.
01:00:46These easterners are in reality the people of China and various former Soviet nations.
01:01:04In addition to these easterners will be allied with the Islamic nations of Asia and the Middle East.
01:01:09So it appears the west and Russia will be at war with the east in a clear divide of ideologies and religions.
01:01:26Again, looking at world events today, it is not a stretch of the imagination to realise that China and the Muslim world could easily find themselves at war with the mainly Christian materialistic west.
01:01:49There are already so many issues that could spark international conflict.
01:02:02How could Nostradamus have known this in the 16th century?
01:02:11He couldn't.
01:02:13It seems that this third anti-Christ will bring the non-destructive nations against the armies of Christ.
01:02:17And he also states that the Christians will be faced with terrible persecution and tortures.
01:02:32This terrifying war will last for almost 28 years and both sides will suffer horrendous casualties.
01:02:48Our cities will be struck by these large shining rocks that fall from the sky.
01:03:02In other words, ballistic missiles will strike New York and other major centres.
01:03:08As if this isn't enough, there will follow a great dreadful pestilence that will wipe
01:03:22out two thirds of the world's population.
01:03:26This could be nuclear radiation or the spread of disease as society breaks down.
01:03:38There are various dates all of this could happen.
01:03:44The next is 2024 and roughly every two years following that.
01:03:51As Nostradamus tells us, it all depends on the actions we take now.
01:04:06What we do know is that the predicted flood we spoke about earlier comes after the war
01:04:12with the Antichrist.
01:04:14Global warming will melt the ice, bring about widespread rainfall and following this, more
01:04:20breakdown of society and spread of disease.
01:04:32In addition to all of this, it is thought that global warming and the melting of ice
01:04:36caps could cause the planet to shift on its axis causing tidal floods to worsen.
01:04:51Our position in the solar system would even alter and cause us to move even closer to
01:04:56the sun.
01:04:57In fact, the earth is actually overdue for a polar shift, even without man-made global warming.
01:05:10There is absolutely no way a man from the sixteenth century could have known about any of this.
01:05:16He had some way to see into the future.
01:05:25The future appears to be a terrifying prospect that must have caused Nostradamus to lose sleep.
01:05:37There is no wonder that he tried to tell us.
01:05:41But his message across the years is still very strong and true.
01:05:50That the future does not need to be this way.
01:05:54That we can make a difference and we can stop these things from happening.
01:05:59The question is, will we listen?
01:06:06Not yet.
01:06:08To follow up on Earth, visit me on Earth.
01:06:10We are at the third floor, put a big wing of ice.
01:06:12If we look back on Earth, use a big wing of ice.
01:06:14We are at home.
01:06:16We are at home.
01:06:20We are at home.
01:06:23We have many free wings of ice.
01:06:27We can't keep our peace in the world.
01:06:31We are at home.
