00:00Honduras National Statistics Institute informed that poverty levels in the country have been reduced

00:05during the last three years of Presidency of Maracastro's administration.

00:09The director of the institute, Eugenio Sosa, reported that during the period,

00:13the poverty levels dropped from 73.6% to 62.9%.

00:19The agency also revealed that in four years, the extreme poverty dropped from 53.7% to 40.1%.

00:27The report put down the decrease to factors such as inflation control, despite high fuel prices,

00:33as well as an increase in social and infrastructure investment.

00:45Also in Honduras, the Free Party called for a mass rally in San Pedro Sula, in the north of the country.

00:51The Liberty and Refundation Party of Honduras confirmed that the mass mobilization will take place

00:56this Saturday, August 30, in the city of San Pedro Sula.
