00:00Good evening, hello and welcome. You're watching Super 6. I'm Akshita Nanda Gopal.
00:04Over the next 60 minutes, we'll be getting you all the top stories of the day.
00:07But let's begin by giving you a glimpse of what to expect over the next one hour on this broadcast.
00:13We're going to be getting you the big political showdown playing out over abuse politics in Bihar.
00:19Our unfortunate discourse in politics that we're seeing right now,
00:24with name-calling taking place rather brazenly at that.
00:27There's been non-stop attacks pouring in from the BJP at the Congress
00:31over one of their workers caught on camera abusing Prime Minister Modi.
00:36It's not the first time we've seen it and unfortunately it's seeped into the political discourse in Bihar as well.
00:41We'll be talking about that. That's our top focus here on Super 6.
00:44We're also coming up on the show as we tell you what's happening in the southern states.
00:49Our Mold of the Nation surveys numbers are out.
00:53I'm going to be putting the spotlight on Tamil Nadu.
00:55For months to go for elections in Tamil Nadu, what is the current sentiment in the state?
01:01If elections were to be held right now in Tamil Nadu, we're talking about general elections,
01:06which way would the mandate go?
01:08I'm going to be telling you all about our findings in the Mold of the Nation survey.
01:12Let's begin.
01:13First, as always, with the...

02:06Massive clash erupts in Patna as stones are hurled and vehicles vandalised.
02:10TMC MP Mauva Moitra says Amit Shah's head must be chopped off and put on the table.
02:22Complaint filed against Mauva as the BJP lashes out of the TMC MP.
02:26RSS chief speaks out.
02:35Bhagwat jokes, if we choose BJP chief, there won't be any delay.
02:39RSS reiterates they have no role in governments.
02:48Another alleged suicide horror in Bengaluru triggered by dowry.

02:56Mother claims harassed by in-laws for more dowry.
02:59She took the extreme step.
03:06Trump aids laundromat attack on India.
03:10Again, Navarro renews the India Kremlin laundromat.
03:13Jive says India gives financial boost for Russia war.
03:23We've been seeing the Congress on an all-out campaign in Bihar,
03:32holding the Vote Adhikar Yatra, led by, of course, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.
03:37It was a one such rally where you had Congress workers gather.
03:41The Gandhis weren't there.
03:42But at that gathering, slogans were raised, targeting Prime Minister Modi.
03:47But these were below-the-belt slogans,
03:49because Prime Minister Modi, in those slogans,
03:51was being abused by one particular Congress worker
03:55who's now been taken into custody.
03:56This incident took place in Darbanga.
03:58And since then, it's escalated into a full-blown political war,
04:02so much so that we saw this playing out today.
04:06BJP workers staging protests at the Congress office in Patna.
04:10It led to vandalism.
04:11It led to violence.
04:13It took the police finally stepping in and lati-charging crowds
04:15for the situation to be brought under control.
04:18All of this street fight triggered, essentially,
04:21by the politics that we've been witnessing.
04:23Top leaders of the BJP, including Home Minister Amit Shah,
04:26Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath,
04:28speaking out one after the other.
04:30Put in the honours now on Rahul Gandhi
04:32to clarify whether he agrees with the kind of abuses
04:35hurled by a Congress worker.
04:37This mega show of strength by Congress and RJD
04:45has snowballed into a massive political controversy.
04:51On Wednesday, after Rahul Gandhi left the venue in Darbanga,
04:56Congress workers abused Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the stage.
04:59Home Minister Amit Shah condemned the comment,
05:15calling it a new political law,
05:17and demanded an apology from the Congress.
05:19Yes.
05:49This incident has given the BJP
06:19fresh ammunition to corner the opposition in Bihar.
06:24The BJP claimed that hooliganism is a basic characteristic of the RJD,
06:29and Congress was blindly following its ally in the quest for power.
06:33Rahul Gandhi, from the day one, if you just go through his speeches,
06:49he just abuses, he doesn't make speech actually.
07:06There should be some statesmanship in the performance or in the words of the leader of opposition.
07:14The BJP workers staged protest outside the Congress office in Patna.
07:22Later clashes broke out between BJP and Congress workers.
07:28Both parties accused each other of instigating the clash.
07:35Congress was the first one.
08:05foreign
08:15foreign
08:19foreign
08:27foreign
08:33Meanwhile, the Congress claimed that it was not in the party culture to hurl abuses at
09:03the Prime Minister.
09:31The dates for assembly election have not been announced yet, but battleground Bihar is heating
09:37up.
09:38With Rohit Singh, Bureau Report, India Today.
10:07The police went through all of the CCTV footage and identified exactly who had chanted that
10:13abusive rant against Prime Minister Modi.
10:15You can see on your screens there the video that had emerged.
10:18You can't really make out who was chanting the slogan, which is why it took a couple of
10:21days for the police to crack.
10:22Now the man who had chanted that slogan, identified as Drisby, has been taken into custody, 14-day
10:29judicial custody he's been remanded to right now.
10:33So far, as far as the Congress's version goes, there have been several leaders who've condemned
10:37the kind of comments that were made, saying this is not what the party stands for.
10:41Others, however, have claimed that this is all an attempt to divert attention from Rahul Gandhi's
10:47vote-chory charge.
10:48And so they're saying that this man has been planted, essentially.
10:53Let's get you the images on the left of your screens of the first pictures of Rizvi as he
10:57was taken into custody by the Bihar police.
10:59He's just been produced in court and so remanded to 14-day judicial custody.
11:12Okay, let me bring in on this broadcast now Aishwarya Paliwal as well as Moshmi Singh to
11:18get you a sense of really the BJP strategy on this issue and also how the Congress is
11:23countering all the fire from the BJP on this.
11:26Moshmi, to you first.
11:27A lot of questions right now and you've been tracking, of course, this entire yatra in
11:31Bihar.
11:32So you'd be best placed to really break down for us all of the reports that claim that,
11:37look, this was a rally of Rahul Gandhi's.
11:40Was that actually the case and how is the Congress actually planning to firefight all of the charges
11:44coming their way now over these abuses?
11:52Absolutely, Akshita.
11:53Akshita, you know, the Congress would like to keep its focus on the yatra and as it reaches
11:58its culmination and would feel that this is an unnecessary speed break or a hindrance of
12:06sorts.
12:06But if you see that, you know, that when that incident happened, it was during the day when
12:13M.K.
12:13Stalin and Priyanka Gandhi were right there in the yatra.
12:17That stage was on the way from Darbhanga ahead and to Sita Mani.
12:22And Noshad is an old Congress worker, a leader in Delhi.
12:28He hails from Bihar.
12:30And he had put up that stage.
12:32And I had spoken to him personally.
12:34He said that he had left the stage after Rahul Gandhi's cavalcade actually went ahead.
12:40Now, Rahul Gandhi really didn't stop at that point of time with Priyanka Gandhi on that stage
12:46that was made because there was no destined stoppage on that stage.
12:54But clearly, you know, the Congress would like to have the focus back on the yatra.
13:00And if you see the line of attack from the Congress leaders throughout the day, they slammed the
13:08BJP instead and blamed it on the BJP, saying that it is the BJP who plants hooligans here
13:15and there.
13:16But are we expecting some statement from Rahul Gandhi, Moshmi?
13:19Because, you know, the ideal way to nip this in the bud is to just have a condemnation to
13:23say we don't agree with this kind of language.
13:24It's not what the Congress stands for.
13:30I think the Congress is in defiance in terms of what has happened.
13:36They say that, you know, suddenly somebody says something.
13:39We are not even there on the stage.
13:41The yatra has passed by.
13:43And Pawankera, in fact, leading that line of charge, saying that the BJP has planted somebody.
13:49So then you wouldn't expect if the party line is that.
13:54And Rahul Gandhi has said that you keep on doing violence and we'll keep on fighting.
13:59This will not deter us.
14:01So that means that the Congress has decided to take it head on.
14:05Correct.
14:05Yeah.
14:06I'll also bring in Aishwarya Paliwal to understand the BJP strategy here because, Aishwarya, it's
14:10unfortunately not the first time we've reported on something like this, which means it's
14:14unfortunately not the first time we've heard these kind of abusive rants.
14:18And I'm saying cutting across political party lines.
14:20In this particular case, the BJP and you've got the likes of Home Minister Amit Shah raising
14:25this because we've also seen previously how it's created a narrative in favor of the
14:30Prime Minister when, you know, you see this kind of personal attacks, abusive attacks.
14:34Well, you know, Akshita, you rightly pointed out this is not the first time that we are
14:42seeing something like this and this, these kind of statements, especially targeting Prime
14:46Minister Narendra Modi, they become a rallying point of sorts.
14:48We have seen Modi ka pariwaar.
14:50If you remember that campaign which was run by the BJP leaders, all of them stood behind
14:54Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
14:56And to be honest, Akshita, these kind of words should not be used.
14:59You cannot be speaking about anyone's mother.
15:00You know, you will feel hurt.
15:02I will feel hurt if someone speaks like that.
15:03And this is someone who's the Prime Minister of our country and someone whose mother is
15:07no longer with us.
15:08So with these kind of things, we will see the BJP upping the ante, asking questions and
15:12also saying that this is not the first time.
15:14They will also bring up the past.
15:16Home Minister Amit Shah very clearly said, had it been his mother, had these things been
15:20spoken about, he would have been very, very harsh with that person, would have even made
15:24sure that this person goes to jail.
15:25The person is in jail.
15:26The BJP has made this a rallying point.
15:28Akshita.
15:29And in no circumstances, let's be very clear, in no circumstances are comments like this
15:35okay.
15:35In no political atmosphere, no matter how heated it is, is this kind of discourse okay or
15:41this kind of narrative building where we resort to abuses and abusing the Prime Minister
15:46of the country at that.
15:47Moshmi and Aishwarya, thank you very much for joining us on this broadcast.
15:50But there is something that I was referring to earlier, which is that we've seen the Prime
15:54Minister being targeted in this manner before as well.
15:57Since 2048, there have been several instances of Prime Minister Modi being abused.
16:03And I want to take you back to some of those controversial statements.
16:24Thank you very much.
16:25Thank you very much.
16:56has been passed.
17:26Thank you very much.
17:56I'll kill and die for the sake of sacrifice.
18:01No, I'm afraid of killing and I'm afraid of killing.
18:03No, I'm afraid of both.
18:05And, brother, don't do anything like drama!
18:08Who will you leave from Narendra Modi?
18:10Narendra Modi will be,
18:11I'll give you the answer to the point where he will leave.
18:14There are 4% of Gujarat people in Gujarat.
18:18Or there are 42% of Gujarat people in Gujarat.
18:20He will give them the gift of their gift.
18:26Unfortunately, the politics of hate continues.
18:33A complaint has been filed now against TMC MP Mauva Moitra
18:36after she attacked Home Minister Amit Shah,
18:40seemingly suggesting that Amit Shah should be targeted,
18:43even suggesting that he should be beheaded.
18:45This was on the issue of infiltration of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants
18:49that you had Mauva Moitra speaking,
18:52in which she said that Amit Shah must be beheaded
18:54and that his head must be placed on the table for display.
18:59And this is because she was demanding accountability from the centre
19:02for, in fact, the infiltration.
19:04And so a complaint has been filed now against Mauva Moitra
19:07for her remarks on this issue.
19:10Let's get to, in fact, the statement that Mauva Moitra had made,
19:13where she was speaking on the infiltration issue,
19:16which we've seen, of course, has been a big political issue in Bengal,
19:20particularly between the BJP and the TMC.
19:23The BJP has gone all guns blazing against the Trinamore Congress on this issue.
19:27There's been no clarification that's come in from Mauva Moitra yet.
19:30I don't know how much is going to take care of him,
19:35but he has been saying that,
19:38before the children,
19:39I bet he comes in fact,
19:40the fact that he lives for a number of years,
19:43I mean, the fact that he's got all guns,
19:45he's got all guns,
19:47and he's got all guns,
19:49and he's got to help him.

20:48So we just played out for you the clarification that's come in
21:10from the Trinamore Congress saying that what Mawa meant was completely different
21:15for what's been taken away from that particular statement that she's made,
21:19saying she didn't literally mean beheading.
21:22It was a figure of speech, is what the Trinamore Congress has said.
21:25We'll track the reactions on that.
21:27But let's also focus on another controversy that's playing out
21:30with the BJP mocking Sidra Maya over the fact that he's part of their Vote Adhikar Yatra in Bihar.
21:38And the BJP has highlighted how in 1991, Sidra Maya had in fact leveled poll fraud charges
21:45against the Congress.
21:46This in fact has played out because essentially what the BJP has accused
21:51the Karnataka Chief Minister of is doublespeak, hypocrisy.
21:55Because what the BJP has recalled is Sidra Maya's 1991 defeat to the Congress
22:00in which he'd cited malpractice.
22:02Sidra Maya at that point was with JDU.
22:03And now he's joining the Vote Adhikar Yatra rally in Bihar.
22:08He's joining the Vote Adhikar Yatra.
22:38He only declared that.
22:42So by vote theft, Congress has been defeated me.
22:48By that time, he's contested from the Janata Dal, not from Congress.
22:55See, in those days, Congress was the biggest thief to vote theft.
23:03Now, they are talking like a Harish Chandra.
23:09See, after the introduction, introducing the EVMs, it is not at all possible for the vote theft.
23:19But they are creating a doubt in the minds of the voters to misguide them and to capture the vote.
23:31In 1991, Mr. Sidra Maya, who's accusing of vote fraud, lost against a Congress candidate during the Congress government at the center.
23:44Mr. Sidra Maya's remark is completely showing the mirror of reality to Mr. Rahul Gandhi that it is the Congress party which has a chequered history of booth capture, vote fraud and electoral malpractices.
23:59After Mr. Sidra Maya's candid admission and expose, Mr. Rahul Gandhi should immediately suspend his vote Adhikar Yatra and start a mafia yatra from Karnataka, from Mr. Sidra Maya's house.
24:14Okay, let's bring in Nagarjun Dwarakarnath for more details on this.
24:20Nagarjun, just explain to us what exactly happened.
24:22Look, the Chief Minister is currently in Bihar.
24:25But what exactly happened in 1991 that led to actually Sidra Maya leveling the exact same charge that the Congress is leveling today, except that time he had leveled it against the Congress?
24:35Well, yesterday in an event while addressing the gathering, it was an advocate event that was felicitating advocate Ravi Verma Kumar in Vidant, Sauda.
24:43Then he remembered his time in 1991 when advocate Ravi Verma Kumar fought his case.
24:48And what was the case?
24:49He said that in 1991, I stood for Lok Sabha from Kapal Lok Sabha constituency and had lost by mere 10,000 margin.
24:56And Lok Sabha, 10,000 is too thin of a margin.
24:59And he felt that it was because of cheating that he had lost his seat in Kapal Lok Sabha.
25:05And back then, Sidra Maya was contesting on Janata Adal ticket and the Congress candidate had won the Lok Sabha seat from Kapal constituency.
25:12And now the BJP has latched on to the point that, look, Sidra Maya himself used to agree that Congress used to win Lok Sabha back then in 90s because of cheating methods.
25:20But what exactly are those methods, we still don't know because the chief minister didn't dive deep into this aspect of, was it vote jury or was it manipulation of the election commission?
25:32Was it poll booth capturing?
25:33We don't know what exactly he meant, but he did say that because of cheating methods that he lost his seat.
25:38And now on the day of Bihar rally that BJP has held on to the point that it's double standards of the Congress when their own chief minister is speaking against their party in the 90s.
25:48Thanks very much, Nagarjan, for joining us with all of those details.
25:55Okay, let's move on and get to our other big story of the day.
25:59India today's mood of the nation's way.
26:02We've been getting you numbers of what the current sentiment is across the country on different political issues.
26:07But I want to put the focus right now on the state of Tamil Nadu.
26:10Why Tamil Nadu?
26:11Because elections are up in just a few months from now.
26:15So we wanted to take a look at what exactly would be the result if elections were held today in Tamil Nadu.
26:22Mind you, these are general elections.
26:24So let's take a look at what really the result was in 2024 and compare that to what our mood of the nation survey is showing currently.
26:32First, focusing essentially on the vote share as far as the India bloc goes.
26:36And remember that that includes the DMK in the 2024 elections, the biggest player in the elections in Tamil Nadu.
26:43They were at 47%.
26:45If you look at the numbers right now, slight increase to 48% based on our mood of the nation survey right now.
26:52So what I'm focusing on is the first and the last column there.
26:56So this is the 2024 election results versus what our mood of the nation survey has found now, August 2025.
27:02For the NDA, from 41%, they actually dropped down to 37%.
27:07What I also want you to take a look at is the others category.
27:11And I'll explain why in just a bit.
27:12From 12%, that actually goes up to 15%.
27:16So it's almost as if the change for the NDA is largely because it's jumping right in to the others' vote share.
27:24Is that a VJ factor?
27:25We'll talk about that.
27:26But let me first break it down for you seat-wise as well.
27:30What is the mood of the nation survey showing?
27:32Is it DMK all the way through, much like what we've seen in the 2024 elections?
27:37Yes, but there's a slight change here.
27:39What you see in the vote share isn't necessarily reflected in the seat share.
27:42We've seen that before as well.
27:43Because of 39 seats, which all of which, by the way, was won by the DMK and their allies last time around,
27:50the number, if you look at it now, if elections were to be held today, of those 39 seats,
27:55there would actually be a distribution.
27:5735 to 36 seats is what our mood of the nation survey is showing could go to, in fact, the DMK plus their allies.
28:05Two to three could go to the NDA.
28:06That includes the AIA-DMK as well.
28:09Not surprisingly, the vote share as far as others goes at 15% doesn't really translate to seats.
28:16At others, it's still zero.
28:18But those numbers are interesting.
28:21I want to bring in on this broadcast, Suman C. Raman, as well as Amitabh Tiwari, founder of VoteVibe.
28:29Amitabh Tiwari, I'll come across to you.
28:30What do you make of these numbers?
28:33What it shows clearly at this point is that the DMK and their allies very much are on top.
28:38But you look at that seat share, there has been a slight change.
28:41The AIA-DMK plus the NDA seem to be inching slightly forward.
28:45Is that an indication of anti-incumbency, you think?
28:48Now, see, essentially, these numbers are about the Lok Sabha.
28:53And as you have clearly mentioned, Lok Sabha elections would be very different, can be very different from the Vidhan Sabha elections.
29:00In Lok Sabha elections, the battle is between DMK and BJP.
29:04Whereas in the Vidhan Sabha elections, it shifts from DMK and BJP to DMK and AIA-DMK.
29:10In the Lok Sabha election in 2024, see, any alliance is about arithmetic and chemistry.
29:15The two parties, AIA-DMK, BJP had contested together the Vidhan Sabha election bagging 41% vote share.
29:22They split with 23% and 18% vote share and DMK swept the state.
29:29Arithmetically, had they contested together, the number would have been 2613,
29:34which now it is showing as 35-3 or 36-3, assuming these numbers are true for seawater.
29:41Now, it seems that DMK is holding fort in a general election largely on account of emotional issues
29:50like the Tamil pride or Hindi imposition, alleged interference by the government,
29:56sub-regionalism when it comes to a national election.
29:59Now, when it comes to a Vidhan Sabha election, we all know that these issues might not hold
30:05and bread and butter issues like law and order, human security, infrastructure, development, corruption, etc.
30:12might hold fort.
30:14The other number, I think, which we also need to see to gauge the Vidhan Sabha impact
30:19is the most popular CMs in your survey, and that is itself showing a very different story.
30:28In the Lok Sabha elections, the DMK is ahead, largely on account of Tamil pride and emotive issues.
30:36But in the Vidhan Sabha elections, if I just go by the most popular CMs,
30:41Stalin, who used to feature in top two, correct, for the past one, one and a half years,
30:51I think this time has moved out of top 10 even.
30:55Correct.
30:55And that shows the anti-incumbency against the state government.
31:00And Tamil Nadu is a state which chooses an alternate government every five years.
31:06So that's going to be a cracker.
31:08As far as chief ministers go, today we're going to be putting out those numbers
31:12of who the most popular chief minister is, whether Stalin features in that list or not,
31:18we'll know in a few hours from now.
31:20But Amitabh Tiwari, how much, and I want to focus on that others category,
31:24because I think one of the biggest questions this election is going to be about the Vijay factor,
31:30whether it's a factor or not at all.
31:32In this particular case, what do you make of the others, the vote share increasing,
31:36seat share, understandably, it's still at zero, but the vote share going up?
31:43Yes, see, others would largely comprise of TVK and Siemens party, which is NTK.
31:49Now, 12 to 15% vote share is not a significant vote share which translates into seats.
31:55For seats, you need around 20 to 25% vote share in a Nook Sabha election
32:00or even in a Vidhan Sabha election.
32:02So, Vijay is gaining popularity.
32:05We've seen massive rallies and he is popular largely amongst the youth.
32:11The party does not have an organization.
32:13Whether this, his popularity, translates into vote share or not,
32:18does he have winnable candidates on all the 234 seats?
32:23These are some things which will fructify in the next 8 to 10 months.
32:28Correct.
32:32Amitabh Diwari, also, you know, the point that you made right up on top is, of course,
32:37that this, what we're talking about, the mood of the nation survey, is about general elections.
32:41The issues are very different.
32:43But how much do you think we can actually, you know, glean away from these numbers to kind of say that this could happen in the assembly elections?
32:52Or do you think that there's no way you can actually compare the two?
32:54No, I would say there is no way you can compare the two.
33:00No, because if you recollect, even in the 2021 Vidhan Sabha election, which was fought without Jalalitha at the helm,
33:09EPS or AIADMK did give a competitive fight.
33:15The Pali, I think, was 70 plus.
33:18Yeah, we saw that.
33:19Yeah, 70 plus in terms of seats.
33:21And we have seen historically how in Tamil Nadu, the incumbent government is thrown out and it falls to 20, 30 seats.
33:30We've seen in this century itself.
33:33So it did hold fort, EPS did hold fort and he has emerged as also the clear leader of the party.
33:41There were factionalism with OPS, Shashikala factions, but now EPS is the clear leader.
33:48So three to four seats translating into a Vidhan Sabha tally would be very less.
33:55Correct.
33:55So I don't think that would be appropriate to see.
33:58And also on the most popular CM, I'm just going by the India Today article of the Northeast,
34:05which shows that Himantra Bhishwa Sarma is the top and I don't see Stalin's name in the top five.
34:11So I'm also just making a guess that it could be, have moved out of five and we'll have to wait and see.
34:18All right.
34:19So interesting times ahead.
34:20There's no doubt about that.
34:21But Amitabh Tiwari, thank you very much for joining us with your perspective,
34:24your view of these numbers, the Mood of the Nation survey numbers, as far as Tamil Nadu goes.
34:29Look, what we've shown, and Amitabh Tiwari has also highlighted that,
34:33is essentially that these are numbers for general elections.
34:36If general elections were to be held in those 39 seats of Tamil Nadu today,
34:40what we showed is the result.
34:42When it comes to an Assembly election, issues are different.
34:45The biggest question, and we've seen this being the biggest factor also in a way in Tamil Nadu elections,
34:50in Assembly elections, has been anti-incumbency.
34:54How strong is the anti-incumbency on the ground?
34:56How much can AIA-DMK actually use it to ensure the narrative is in their favor?
35:02That perhaps is what will decide an election, especially in Tamil Nadu.
35:06And perhaps that's why Vijay also is focusing so much, much of his energy,
35:11on targeting the DMK and targeting the BJP as well.
35:14But I want to quickly break down for you the big takeaways that emerge from the numbers
35:18that we've put out in our Mood of the Nation survey.
35:21Strictly looking at those numbers, that Dravid and Munitra Karagam has a comfortable lead.
35:26But again, I will reiterate that these are general election numbers,
35:2939 parliamentary seats in Tamil Nadu.
35:31We don't know what really overall the Assembly seats will look like, the 234 seats.
35:37Takeaway number two, as per these numbers, there's no big anti-incumbency factor.
35:42And the reason I stress on that is because, like I said earlier,
35:45anti-incumbency is a big, big issue in Tamil Nadu.
35:49Moves and rocks the elections in the state.
35:52The AIA-DMK, looking at those numbers, is still far behind.
35:56Mind you, the 2024 looks about elections, there was no alliance between the AIA-DMK and the BJP.
36:02That's changed.
36:03Will that change the equation, the numbers really,
36:06when it comes in a few months from now after the elections?
36:10Vijay could cause a vote share dent.
36:12And the reason I say that is because in the others category,
36:15in the 2024 looks by election, if the vote share was 13%,
36:18the Mood of the Nation survey is saying that could go up to 15%.
36:23So we've told you about Tamil Nadu.
36:25Let's talk about the other poll-bound state in the south,
36:29which is the state of Kerala.
36:31Let's take a look at what really the numbers were in 2024
36:34versus what the Mood of the Nation survey actually shows.
36:38Now, if you look at first the vote share, the UDF, LDF and the BJP.
36:43Now, there are several takeaways here.
36:45The UDF actually, if you look at their vote share, goes down from 43% to 41%.
36:51The LDF from 32% is, in fact, down to 25%.
36:57But the biggest headline, perhaps, is the BJP from 17% in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections,
37:04which for them, that itself was a very, very good performance,
37:07was a record performance, which also led to them having their first member of parliament
37:12in Kerala, in Trishur, Suresh Gopi.
37:14So from 17% in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections,
37:18the Mood of the Nation survey is actually predicting that goes up to 24%.
37:21So very, very interesting vote share numbers.
37:24What does that look like as far as seats go?
37:26Let's take a look quickly at those numbers as well.
37:29For the UDF, LDF and for the BJP, which sees that sizable spike in vote share.
37:35As far as seats go, from one in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections,
37:38which I was referring to, the seat of Trishur,
37:40it could become two if elections were held today,
37:43general elections in Kerala, of the 20 seats that we're talking about here.
37:47The UDF won 18, they're still on top, very clearly, at 17.
37:52The LDF at one, essentially, if elections were held today,
37:55the result would more or less be the same for the LDF,
37:58except that their vote share also comes down.
38:00So interesting numbers, these.
38:02What it does indicate is that the BJP is on the rise.
38:06General elections, yes, 20 parliamentary seats is what we're talking about.
38:10Is that something that will then translate to gains for the BJP in an assembly election as well?
38:15That's where the interesting fight will play out.
38:19That's where the interesting battles will happen.
38:21So we'll have to see what really the BJP factor is.
38:24But looking at these numbers, the UDF very much on top.
38:27Again, much like Tamil Nadu, comes down to the anti-incumbency factor.
38:31All right, let's move on and get you another story, this one from Karnataka.
38:38And it's a horrifying one of an alleged dowry harassment-related death.
38:43A 27-year-old woman took her own life allegedly because she was being harassed by her in-laws.
38:49Her husband has now been arrested for abetment of suicide.
38:53That's a charge against her because she took her own life.
38:56Her family claims she was being tortured repeatedly.
39:00Now, the victim here, Shilpa, her family alleged that there were constant demands for dowry by the in-laws.
39:07And that's what drove her to take this extreme step.
39:10The police have arrested Shilpa's husband, Praveen, a former software professional.
39:15Shilpa's parents stated that Praveen's family first demanded 15 lakh rupees in cash,
39:21150 grams of gold jewelry, as well as household items before the wedding.
39:25They alleged that while they've vented and fulfilled all of these demands,
39:29Shilpa was still repeatedly pressured for more money, for more gold.
39:33This is a heartbreaking reality that we're constantly reporting here on India Today.
39:37Because every single day now, it seems, there are more and more incidents of these kind of dowry harassment cases
39:43that lead to such tragedies of lives being lost.
39:47Shilpa is still in the house.
39:48Shilpa's parents said that they have only two or three million people left.
39:52Shilpa is still in charge of money.
39:54Shilpa's parents said that every single day number were paid for the money,
39:56Shilpa was still in charge of money.
39:57Shilpa has been in charge of money.
39:59Shilpa was still in charge of money.
40:00Shilpa's parents are still in charge of money.
40:01Shilpa was still in charge of money and perfectly fair.
40:04The owners of the family were all told about money and by the family to the가지고 team.
40:05And we're always told the people in charge of money.
40:07We can talk to each other, we can talk to each other.
40:09We can talk to each other,
40:11we can talk to each other,
40:13and we can talk to each other,
40:15and we can talk to each other.
40:19With that, I'm wrapping up this edition of Super 6.
40:21Thanks very much for tuning in.
40:23I'll see you same time Monday.

41:21rising.
41:23This film combines the two original blockbusters,

41:31Meanwhile, the decision to merge these two iconic films into one,

42:58Now, the film's
42:59is the only purpose.
