00:00Micah Parsons traded from the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers.
00:04I never thought this would happen.
00:06Micah Parsons wants a trade.
00:07Yeah, he's not getting one.
00:08Sooner than later, these two will come to an agreement.
00:10No idea what Jerry Jones was saying.
00:12I want to negotiate with my player.
00:13I don't want to talk to the agent here.
00:15So now they opened up earlier this week, as we heard from insiders,
00:18that maybe Jerry is looking to trade Micah Parsons,
00:21but we still didn't think that would be a possibility.
00:23And where would he go?
00:25And Dallas Cowboys say, you know what?
00:26I think our team is better without Micah Parsons.
00:30Jerry did this.
00:31Sign your players sooner than later,
00:33because here's what I always like where it comes down to.
00:36You're going to trade Micah Parsons in hoping that those two first-round draft picks
00:39somehow get you closer to Micah Parsons
00:41when you had Micah Parsons already on your football team.
00:44I was so shocked to hear this news come down yesterday,
00:47because once again, it's the failure of an organization.
00:50Jerry is an unbelievable businessman worth billions and billions of dollars.
00:56The Dallas Cowboys are the biggest brand in the world,
00:58but he is a bonehead when it comes to general managing.
01:01If you would have made this move when Micah Parsons wanted more money than you figured
01:05you would get him and traded him before the draft,
01:07you'd probably have two more defensive players and much more money allocated
01:10to your defense and offense to make your team better.
01:13You trade Micah Parsons a week before the season,
01:15now your season is effectively over.
01:18Joe, where did this start, and how did it happen,
01:20Micah Parsons ending up in Green Bay?
01:22Well, it happened with, you know, Jerry trying to do an end around
01:27by not including what is very clearly written into the collective bargaining agreement
01:32to have an agent present, but he thought he was going to somehow or another,
01:37you know, push him into a corner and get a deal done without an agent in the room,
01:42and that obviously backfired in a big way.
01:46And then Jerry let the ego get involved, and all of a sudden, I mean,
01:51a lot of stuff coming out of him.
01:53This all could have been rectified, no problem.
01:56I mean, initially, from what we're understanding now,
02:00the offer that was going to be presented or what Dallas was going to offer him
02:06wasn't far off from the total value of what he ended up getting from Green Bay.
02:11But, again, Jerry, being Jerry, wanted to, you know,
02:17always wants to have the last word and drag this thing out to a point where
02:22now it was a, okay, it's a chess match.
02:25So now if he continues to act as if he's hurt, not available to play for you,
02:30he becomes a bigger and bigger cancer in that locker room, Donnie.
02:33He becomes a bigger and bigger distraction for this team.
02:35So at what point, Jerry, are you just going, can't get this?
02:40The agent wouldn't talk to Jerry, Jerry wouldn't talk to the agent,
02:44and Micah Parsons becoming a distraction.
02:46You backed yourself into this corner, and now, all right,
02:50a couple of first-round picks too late, not for this year, Donnie,
02:53and that's my point.
02:54The Cowboys are telling Cowboy fans, we're in no rush.
02:58There's no urgency here.
03:01Green Bay is saying for the first time, I can't remember the last time
03:04Green Bay spent $188 million on a guy like this,
03:08and they are all in right now saying we're going to,
03:12now is the time for the Packers to win a championship.
03:15Kudos to Green Bay, but Jerry, my goodness,
03:18good luck explaining this to the fan base.
