00:00The UN Security Council has voted to terminate the mandate for the UNIFIL peacekeeping force
00:06in southern Lebanon at the end of next year.
00:10EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaya Callas has summoned the Kremlin's Brussels envoy for talks after
00:16Russian attacks damaged the European delegation in Kyiv.
00:21The UN Security Council has voted unanimously to terminate the mandate for the UNIFIL peacekeeping
00:27force in southern Lebanon at the end of next year, after nearly five decades.
00:32It comes after Israel and the U.S. pushed for the force to be ended, calling on the Lebanese
00:38armed forces to take on greater responsibility for eliminating the influence of the Hezbollah
00:43militant group.
00:44But Lebanese officials have warned stability in the region remains fragile following last
00:49year's hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah.
00:52The commitment of the Lebanese government is there, but how can they be deployed everywhere
00:57in the South, if the IDF are still present in the South?
01:00So these are the things that are very difficult to comprehend, that if you want the full deployment
01:05of the Lebanese army, you also have to withdraw to your positions.
01:09The position, the presence of IDF in the South is violation of Lebanese sovereignty and is a
01:14violation of 1701.
01:16So this can be done, but there needs to be commitment from both sides.
01:19UNIFIL has played a significant role in monitoring the security situation in southern Lebanon for
01:25decades.
01:26It was initially created to oversee the withdrawal of Israeli troops from southern Lebanon after
01:31Israel's 1978 invasion, but its mission was expanded following the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah
01:37war.
01:40The European Union has formally summoned the Russian envoy in Brussels in response to the
01:46strike on the Ukrainian capital, which severely damaged the bloc's mission in Kyiv.
01:50Two Russian missiles struck a civilian building within 50 meters of the European delegation
01:55in the span of 20 seconds overnight into Thursday.
01:59The shockwaves from the attack caused severe structural damage to the mission's office space.
02:04The EU's foreign policy chief, Kaya Kalas, has responded to the attacks, stressing that
02:09it's a crime to target diplomatic missions in war.
02:12The Vienna Convention of 1961, which Russia is a signatory to, mandates protection for diplomatic
02:18and consular missions during wartime.
02:20Kaya Kalas also slammed the Kremlin for escalating the conflict instead of pursuing peace, and
02:26summoned Moscow's EU envoy Karen Malayan for talks.
02:29Separately, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said she was outraged by the barrage
02:35targeting Kyiv.
02:36And this is another grim reminder of what is at stake.
02:42It shows that the Kremlin will stop at nothing to terrorize Ukraine, blindly killing civilians,
02:49men, women and children, and even targeting the European Union.
02:55This is why we are keeping maximum pressure on Russia.
02:58That means tightening our sanctions regime.
03:03We will come forward soon with our 19th package of hard-biting sanctions.
03:09And in parallel, we are advancing the work on the Russian frozen assets to contribute to Ukraine's
03:17defense and reconstruction.
03:20The Commission chief noted that none of the delegation staff were harmed in the attacks
03:24and re-emphasized her unwavering support to Ukraine.
03:31The Russian drone and missile attack killed at least 18 people and injured 48 in the Ukrainian
03:37capital of Kyiv.
03:40At least four children are among the dead in the attack, which used drones, crews and ballistic
03:45missiles.
03:46The attack impacted more than 20 locations across the capital, totally destroying a five-story
03:54residential building.
03:57Residents were left stunned by the strike as a rescue team searched to find people under
04:02the rubble of fallen buildings.
04:03in the US to be the guards.
04:04It became so dangerous for us to be the threat.
04:06In the upper seat of the army, and Tanya had to be the guard.
04:07The air is on the ground, which is the guardsman's
04:09ed in the EU to be the region.
04:13It was the right place that was the slytherest.
04:14The case where the air was.
04:16It was the first time in the inner town, the air to be the 1-4-4-4-3-3-4-3-4-4-3-6-4-3-4-4-3-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-3-4-4-5-4-5-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-6-4-4-1.
04:20On the head of the door, it's all that was.
04:26We have all the apartment, we have two cars.
04:32We still haven't looked at the street, we went to the street and went to the entrance.
04:38The attack is Russia's first major strike on Kyiv since US President Donald Trump met Russian President
05:08Vladimir Putin in Alaska earlier this month.
05:11Despite multiple high-level meetings, US-led efforts to bring about an end to the war have struggled to gain traction.
05:24Israeli airstrikes on Thursday hit the Yemeni capital Sanaa, according to the Houthis and Israeli military.
05:30There were no immediate reports of casualties.
05:33Residents reported loud explosions in the southern and western parts of the city.
05:37The Israeli Defense Ministry said it targeted a military site in the Yemeni capital operated by the Iran-backed Houthi group.
05:44The ministry also noted that the Israeli Air Force has also intercepted two drones fired from Yemen towards the country,
05:51making it the third Houthi attempt to strike Israel this week.
05:55The Houthis have regularly launched missiles and drones toward Israel
05:59and targeted ships in the Red Sea throughout the entirety of Israel's war on Gaza.
06:03Houthi fighters say the attacks are a display of solidarity with Palestinians who are being killed in the thousands by the Israeli regime.
06:12They have also repeatedly vowed to continue their attacks until Israel seizes its attacks on Gaza and the Palestinian people.
06:19In May, the Houthis signed a deal with U.S. President Donald Trump to seize their attacks on vessels in the Red Sea, a crucial global trade route.
06:28Cloudberries are an elusive golden berry which grow near swamps throughout Sweden, but are more common the further north you get.
06:40On average, the estimated total amount of berries in Sweden is around 250,000 tons of blueberries and about 80,000 tons of cloudberries.
06:49But due to a combination of rising temperatures and fewer pickers, this year's yield is projected to dramatically decline.
06:56In the normal season, when we buy berries, we can buy about 2 tons per day, on one place.
07:07And now it looks like we buy 1 ton.
07:12So it's a lot. It's a lot. It's a lot of people who collect.
07:17It means that berries will be found in the prices.
07:21Industry will scream after the berries, but they won't be found.
07:25And in turn, prices are expected to shoot up.
08:11Berry vendors say the drop in stock may even create a situation where berries are sold on the black market.
08:18Det kan vara rekordnivå.
08:21Det kan vara rekordnivå.
08:28This one has what appears to be a bony collar around its neck with huge, four huge spikes
08:49sticking out of the side of it. Now some of the spikes are broken, has been in the ground
08:53for 165 million years so it's not in perfect condition, but one of these spikes is 87cm long
08:59and of course in life it would have been covered in some sort of holly covering, you know like
09:04our fingernails are made out of that sort of material and so it would have been even longer
09:08and yeah we have a whole range of other kind of isolated spikes, spikes stuck to each other,
09:15we have these kind of teardrop shaped plates and we don't really know where all of those go on the body.
09:23We think that this animal was using this armour not just for defence as is you know generally
09:38thought to be the case with these armoured dinosaurs but also potentially for some sort of display,
09:43maybe it was showing off to attract a mate or maybe it was you know being used in some sort
09:48of courtship fighting and like deer do or something like that and we can't be sure
09:54but it seems like massive overkill to have these enormous spikes just to defend itself.
10:04Do British people support the creation of a European army with the UK?
10:08Around 46% of British people support the idea of the creation of a European army that includes the UK,
10:20while 28% do not. This is what a recent YouGov survey of 7300 adults in Great Britain stated.
10:28The individuals who strongly support this idea are mainly located in Scotland and Wales, while those who
10:34somewhat support it are mainly found in Wales and the south of England. More than half of the male
10:40respondents either strongly support or somewhat support the idea. In contrast, the picture was
10:46less clear for female respondents, with many either somewhat supporting the idea or more than a third
10:52indicated that they don't know. Among survey participants aged 25 and over, there is a tendency
10:58to somewhat support the establishment of a European army while the younger individuals remain uncertain
11:04about their stance on the issue. Supporters of Liberal Democrats and the Labour Party are generally more
11:10in favour than those who back the Reform Party, who represent the largest group opposing the idea.
11:16However, the most muscular defence could cause more trouble among the electorate,
11:21as most Brits do not want to increase defence spending if it means tax increases.
11:26YouGov found 55% would oppose paying more tax to increase the sector while less than a third would support it.
