00:00Gaza is gripped by famine, the first time a confirmation has been made.
00:05According to a Rome-based IPC report,
00:07more than half a million people in Gaza are trapped in the hunger crisis,
00:12marked by widespread starvation, destitution and preventable deaths.
00:17Following the report, the UN warned that the situation is likely to spread across the territory
00:22without an end to restrictions on humanitarian aid.
00:25It is a famine. The Gaza famine.
00:30It is a famine that we could have prevented if we had been allowed.
00:35My ask, my plea, my demand to Prime Minister Netanyahu
00:40and anyone who can reach him, enough.
00:47Ceasefire.
00:48The IPC report comes after months of warnings by aid groups
00:52that Israel's restrictions on food and other aid into Gaza
00:56were causing high levels of starvation among Palestinian civilians, particularly children.
01:02Israel on Friday once again rejected the report,
01:05insisting that the findings were based on Hamas lies.
01:08Security guarantees agreement for Ukraine will ensure Russian President Vladimir Putin
01:16will never try to attack Ukraine again.
01:19NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said this on Friday during a visit to Kyiv.
01:24After the meeting with Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky,
01:27Rutte said the alliance's support for Ukraine remains unwavering and continues to grow.
01:33As we all know, the Budapest Memorandum and Minsk did not provide those security guarantees.
01:39So we clearly know what it should not be.
01:42And we are now working together, Ukraine, the Europeans, the United States,
01:46to make sure that the security guarantees are of such a level
01:49that Vladimir, Vladimir Putin, sitting in Moscow,
01:53will never, ever try to attack Ukraine again.
01:56Following Monday's multilateral meeting at the White House,
01:59the NATO chief said U.S. President Donald Trump made it clear
02:03the United States will indeed be involved in providing security guarantees for Ukraine.
02:09According to Rutte, discussions about deploying foreign troops to Ukraine
02:13as part of security guarantees are ongoing,
02:16but it is too early to say what will be the outcome.
02:20Authorities in Ukraine on Friday said over one million people require evacuation
02:27from frontline areas in the country, mostly in the east,
02:31with some 84,000 of them being children.
02:34According to local officials, more than 600,000 people have been evacuated
02:39from the Donetsk and neighboring regions so far.
02:42The large-scale wave of evacuations comes amid heavy Russian shelling
03:03and military advances in the region.
03:05Ukraine's Donetsk region has become the epicenter of a decade-long attempt
03:25by Russian forces to gain full control of Donetsk.
03:29Last week, Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, warned Russia
03:33wanted the 90,000 square kilometers of Donetsk under Kiev's control,
03:38a proposal the Ukrainian leader rejected.
03:44Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced the creation
03:47of a new inter-ministerial commission for climate change
03:50as Spain battles one of its worst wildfire seasons on record.
03:54The Spanish leader acknowledged the devastation wildfires have brought
04:00across the country and thanked other European countries
04:03for sending assistance.
04:28At least four people have died in Spain's wildfires this summer
04:31as rescue teams work hard to put out the blazes.
04:35In recent days, 20 wildfires have affected the region of Asturias
04:39in northwest Spain, with small signs of some fires being brought under control by Friday.
