00:00France, Germany and the United Kingdom have triggered the so-called snack-back mechanism
00:05at the United Nations, aiming to reimpose sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program.
00:12The move follows repeated strikes on Iranian atomic facilities during a recent 12-day war
00:17with Israel.
00:18Now, the world is at crossroads, it's quite clear.
00:23One option is peace, diplomacy, goodwill, normal human contact.
00:30Another option is kind of diplomacy at the barrel of the gun.
00:35Hands extortion and blackmail, all other things.
00:41The second option is clearly represented by the action that was triggered today by France,
00:48UK and Germany.
00:49We all know that they circulated a letter triggering so-called snap-back.
00:55I will not explain you this procedure in detail.
00:58I think everybody who is knowledgeable of this fact doesn't have such a necessity.
01:06But I will say that this move by European countries, in our view, has absolutely no legal bearing,
01:17because they were not implementing Resolution 2231 in good faith.
01:22The snack-back process, created under the 2015 nuclear deal, was designed to be veto-approved
01:28and is expected to take effect.
01:30If enforced, it will freeze Iranian assets, block arms sales and restrict ballistic missile
01:36development, adding new pressure to Iran's struggling economy.
01:40Once again.
