00:00Iran has condemned the reinstatement of UN sanctions, saying it reflects US dominance and European compliance in the world body.
00:10Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Bagai says most UN Security Council members have opposed the move, insisting the measures had already expired.
00:19In a post on acts, Bagai accused European powers of misusing the process to serve US interests, stressing that Resolution 2231 clearly states the sanctions should end this October 18th.
00:34The UN reinstated an arms embargo and other sanctions after Britain, France and Germany triggered the process, accusing Iran of violating the 2015 nuclear deal by developing nuclear weapons, a claim Tehran repeatedly denies.
00:48In response, Iran has warned of a harsh reaction and recalled its ambassadors from London, Paris and Berlin.
00:55The European powers had offered to delay sanctions for six months if Iran restored inspector access, reduced uranium stockpiles and engaged in talks with Washington.
