00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Hewsonbet and you've seen me in a video before
00:05there's a good chance that actually I was doing exactly what I'm doing today which is going to a
00:10brilliant cafe here in Manchester and talking a little bit about why it's worth visiting over
00:15some of your bigger chains. Now the difference today is that we're going to a brand new opening.
00:20This place is called Morning Glory. You'll recognise the name obviously from the song
00:24by Oasis and it's actually been set up by an influencer here in Manchester. So we're going
00:29to go down and we're going to talk to Zach Hips about his new business venture and what he thinks
00:33will make his cafe stand out from the rest here in Manchester. My love for the Manchester food scene
00:38100% and that's obviously shown through the content ever since day one and like I was presented with
00:47an opportunity to get this going and I thought let's do it and yeah I'm really really excited
00:54that we're in the final stages now and we're opening on Saturday 9am and I almost can't believe this.
01:00We're going to do 100 free coffees for the first 100 people but also doing 100 mini Manchester tarts
01:08for the first 100 people and then we're also going to do like a bit of a raffle to win free coffee for
01:14the year. Like we wanted a space that did feel unique and that did kind of like connect with people
01:20and made them feel happy, welcome, warm, joyful and familiar. Like that's why everything's yellow
01:27because like Manchester, Manchester bees. I was really surprised at how many people haven't tried
01:32Manchester's app. Then when you kind of like think about it, not many places if any in this area
01:38like even sell it. So it was something that I was super like eager to do because like it's a dessert
01:48that for whatever reason like defines the city. We're using loads of local people for like lots
01:53of things like the matchas from a local brand called Kyoto Matcha. We worked with a bakery for
02:00the Manchester tarts like it's based in Anker, it's called Vanilli, it's really good and I went in,
02:05did all the recipe development with her. We went through like several iterations and yeah, super tasty,
02:10super happy with that. We've got another bakery called Thick Slice for the matcha and berry buns
02:15and then like the bagels as well. Like it's all, it's all like the best things I could find in
02:21Manchester. I definitely think that Manchester is super open and super like super exciting and
02:31I'm willing to like be a little bit weird, be a little bit different and I think that like that's
02:35allowed my personality to like thrive and like I've done stuff like crawling on the floor in front of
02:41like Manchester Metropolitan Uda and I remember in the video nobody even looked. I was like where else
02:49and I think that a lot of people are just like up for laughs and trying new things is also like a big
02:56part I think of the Manchester scene.
