00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Houston Betts and I'm very excited on a
00:03brilliant day here in Manchester because I'm on my way to Aviva Studios for a Blank Street Coffee
00:09pop-up. Now when I say Blank Street Coffee, naturally you'll be thinking about maybe a
00:13brilliant ice drink to celebrate the start of summer. But not only will I be getting one of
00:17those, I'll also be getting a tattoo. And that's because Blank Street Coffee have teamed up with
00:22Manchester Social to offer free flash tattoos to people who fancy doing something random and wild
00:29today in the middle of May. So they've got a brilliant flash sheet which I'm going to pop
00:32up on the screen now. We're going to go down, talk to a couple of customers and get ourselves a little
00:37tattoo. Now if I know Manchester and I think the draw of Aviva Studios is pretty big anyway with
00:44showings of stuff like hologram performances of composer Ryuichi Sakamoto to brilliant creative
00:48films by directors such as David Lynch. But today people are going to be drawn down for this tattoo
00:54pop-up because as I say, if I know the people of Manchester, I know that a free tattoo is going to
00:58be simply too good to turn down. And I've got to say it was too much of a temptation for me to resist
01:05as well when I got the opportunity to go in and pick one of the flash tattoos for myself. I picked
01:09the touch grass one. I thought it fit in with some of the other ridiculous tattoos that you might see
01:13adorning my body. And I've got to say it was a great experience from back to front. This is such a
01:18unique idea from Blank Street. And I want to quickly say thank you to Ella the tattooist who was really
01:23precise, really careful with the placement of the tattoo. With everything she was doing, it didn't
01:28actually hurt. I was slightly guilty of playing up to the camera there. But honestly, from back to
01:32front, this was a really joyous thing to do. And it's really easy to get involved too. The line
01:38started forming around sort of 9am, despite the fact that it wasn't open to the public till around 11,
01:42which shows just how many people were intrigued and interested in coming down and getting one of
01:47these tattoos. And to make sure that everyone got an opportunity to get a permanent tattoo. Stafford
01:53come around with scratch cards where you would peel off to see whether you'd want a permanent tattoo
01:56or whether you were going to wait around and get a temporary tattoo, which was basically the flash
02:00sheet, but the obviously easy to apply water-based ones that you used to use as kids. And having
02:07either this permanent or temporary tattoo would get you a free drink too. They had a brilliant daydream latte,
02:12I believe it was called, and a white chocolate matcha as well, which was scandalously brilliant. And I've got to
02:17say the whole experience from back to front was awesome. It's such a unique idea from Blank Street
02:22and getting the tattooist at the Manchester Social involved was brilliant. Again, Ella was really,
02:27really great. And I just can't compliment them enough really. I've got to say it's a great idea
02:33and it is here tomorrow as well. So if you get the chance, pop down to Aviva Studios tomorrow and see
02:38if you can win yourself your own Blank Street tattoo. So that's all for now. As I say, make sure you try and
02:43get down there tomorrow if this is something that you're interested in. These are great quality
02:47tattoos, great quality drinks, and a great idea and definitely something that other companies in Manchester
02:52will be looking to replicate. So that's all for now. Thank you very much for watching and follow Manchester World for more.
