Asda today updated on Q2 trading for the period ending 30 June and reported that its continued investment to lower prices for customers strengthened volumes and like-for-like sales during the quarter. #Asda

00:04The Leeds-based supermarket chain Asda has published a second quarter trading update.
00:10In the update, Asda says it achieved its fourth consecutive quarter of improved like-for-like sales,
00:17with second quarter like-for-like sales lower by 0.2%, marking 2.9% improvement on the first quarter,
00:24which is Asda's best quarterly performance since the first quarter of 2024.
00:28It also revealed that rollback price cuts have been implemented on more than 50% of products,
00:36with an average reduction of 22%.
