01:32comes from the book of joshua so we're going to be talking about the fall of jericho and in the book

01:39of joshua chapter 6 verse 2 reading from the amplified classic version we read and the lord said to joshua

01:47see i have given jericho its king and mighty men of valor into your hands amen amen amen hallelujah

01:59welcome welcome we got prophet sabrina with us which also happens to be my lovely wife we've got

02:05a great word today um you may not sound like it from the title but it is it's it's a great and

02:12encouraging word that we have on today all right so as i said today's main verse comes from the book

02:20of joshua chapter 6 verse 2 and reading from the amplified classic and the lord said to joshua see

02:26i have given jericho its king and mighty men of valor into your hands oh hallelujah

02:36all right so every one of us knows what it feels like to face a wall a wall can be an obstacle you

02:45can't move a problem that seems permanent or a season that refuses to change some walls are visible

02:53like financial hardship broken relationships or sickness others are invisible like fear doubt or

03:02discouragement the people of israel also faced a wall not just any wall but jericho a city with walls so

03:12high and so strong that they seemed impossible to penetrate to human eyes jericho was unconquerable

03:21deuteronomy 9 verse 1 reminds us here oh israel you are to cross the jordan today to go in to dispossess

03:31nations greater and mightier than you are cities great and fortified up to the heavens but here's

03:39the good news what looks impossible to man is never impossible with god and the story of jericho reminds us

03:47of that luke 18 27 what is impossible with men what is impossible with men is possible with god

03:56so this study isn't just about ancient walls it's about walls in your life today and the god who makes

04:04them fall when you walk in faith and obedience so the question is what wall are you or walls are you

04:13facing right now and are you willing to trust god's promise to obey his process and wait for his perfect

04:22timing so the following other titles and subtitles we'll be discussing today number one god's promise

04:29precedes the process number two god's plan involves timed obedience number three god's power collapses

04:38what seems permanent number four god rewards faith that acts number five summary and number six will

04:46finish as usual with declaration prayer amen amen all right fire away number one god's promise precedes

04:54the process right so we all know that our god is a god of promise and revelation and if you've been on

05:01this channel we've been speaking about that quite a bit in practically everything that we've spoken about

05:07because this is part of of of who god has laid out what god has laid out for us lots of promises and

05:15revelation of revelation of who he is now when it comes to us his children he reveals the victory

05:21to us even before we take a step to the journey he's he's called us to go right he tells us clearly that he is

05:29our confidence and our assurance this is shown in the story of joshua at the moment israel was preparing

05:39to enter the promised land they face the city of jericho a city fortified and impenetrable let's confirm

05:47that right joshua 6 verse 2 our main verse today and i'm reading amplified classic again and the lord said

05:53to joshua see i have given jericho its king and mighty men of valor into your hands wow so even though the battle

06:04had not yet begun what we need to take out of this verse is god spoke in the past tense he said i have

06:13given in another words other translation says i have delivered showing us that his word is timeless and

06:23unchangeable what god declares in heaven is already settled and guaranteed yet it's yeah it's it's manifesting

06:33i understand that but it's settled and guaranteed just as god assured joshua that jericho was his before

06:42any battle was fought god gave joshua confidence see he is a guarantor of every promise when we hold firm

06:54to his promises our journey becomes bearable i never say that our journey will be easy or it it's it's gonna

07:02be without issues but it becomes bearable and we can then move from glory to glory because his promises

07:09are yes and amen or sure let's confirm that

07:14right 2 corinthians 1 20 am pc for as many are the promises of god they all find their yes answer

07:25in him christ for this reason we also utter the amen so be it to god through him in his person and by his

07:34agency to the glory of god amen so let us stand firm firmly on god's promises trusting that our victory is

07:44already secure our confidence and hope come from him alone when we face walls in our life don't wait

07:52until they fall before you believe in god think of it in this way let's give an analogy of right think of

07:59it in this way think of a movie script writer which is god in that in that point who has already finished

08:06writing the ending right the characters may still be in the middle of the story but the outcome is

08:14already decided that's how god works the ending is guaranteed before we even step into the scene

08:23amen number two god's plans involve timed obedience all right so do you ever wonder since he is god why

08:33he doesn't just fix the problem instantly who does everyone we just want we want just why don't we have

08:41to go through that just do it lord yes come on so yes god is not bound by time yet he chooses to work

08:50within it to guide our lives while he could simply fix a problem instantly he asks us to engage

09:00in a process that requires patience obedience and trust so we are

09:08crucial to the manifestation of that promise and guarantee to be fulfilled in the present and the

09:16future we are crucial cog cog like in a what do you call it uh in a machine we're crucial cog in that

09:28machine in order for it to work i'm not saying we are the most important part no but we are definitely

09:33crucial god created it the process in that manner so like the story of jericho where god could have

09:41brought down the walls immediately he instead set a seven day process of marching and waiting this process

09:50teaches us that breakthrough often comes through faithful obedience over time even when nothing

09:56seems to change at first maybe you're you are still on day three or day four and it feels like nothing

10:06is happening but every step of obedience activates god's power to bring a lasting breakthrough beyond the

10:13limits of time we're talking about jericho but we also have that story of uh of the i can't remember

10:21what what you call him but but of that man that had leprosy and and and the prophet told him to go and

10:26wash seven times seven times can you imagine one nothing two nothing three nothing four nothing

10:34till the end some people would have gone oh this is nonsense five nothing six nothing seven he gets up

10:42completely healed our role is simply to follow his instructions faithfully even when the outcome isn't

10:50yet visible when we embrace his timing and trust his ways he will move in ways that turn what looks

10:59immovable into a victory joshua 6 3 to 4 reminds us you shall march around the city all you men of war you

11:09shall go around the city once this you shall do six days and seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of

11:17ram's horns before the ark but the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times so they marched

11:27not seven not seven overall they marched six times once for every six days and then seven seven times on the

11:37seventh day but the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times and the priests shall blow the

11:46trumpets when we walk in obedience even if it feels slow god's timeless power can break through in an

11:55instant you know the word suddenly something happened you hear a lot of testimony when people say

12:01suddenly i had so much problem in there you would tell you will hear lots of problem and then you will

12:05hear the word suddenly hebrews 11 30 um state by faith the walls of jericho fell down after they were

12:15uncircled for seven days think of planting a seed in the ground on day one

12:22nothing is visible on day two still nothing but beneath the sword something is happening roots are

12:28forming it is developing and in time the seeds break through growth doesn't just happen instantly

12:36but through patience and persistence the harvest comes amen number three number three god's power

12:47collapses what seems permanent you were supposed to say that since you wanted to say it i'll let you be

12:53come on right god's power collapses what seems permanent all right god is the creator of all and for him

13:01nothing is too big or important or impossible it is important or impossible the walls of jericho were

13:09described as towering walls up to the sky deuteronomy 9 verse 1 and impressively fortified from a human

13:17perspective taking such a city buff force would have been unimaginable yet god did not rely on human

13:26strength or weapons to bring down those walls without any armies breaking through god's power alone

13:33caused the walls to collapse this is a powerful reminder not to depend solely on our own efforts

13:40instead we are invited to call on god's mighty power in every challenge we face joshua 6 verse 20 reminds us so

13:50the people shouted and the trumpets were blown when the people heard the sound of the trumpet they raised the

13:57great shout and jericho's wall fell down in its place so that the israelites went up into the city every man

14:06straight before him and they took the city when did god promise joshua's victory over jericho walls he spoke

14:16these words at the very beginning before the israelite took a single step joshua 6 2 and when did they see

14:24the breakthrough it came at the end of the process on the seventh day when the people shouted in faith and the

14:32world's bell joshua 6 20 take heart knowing that god's power and promise are with you from the start and

14:41breakthrough will come in god's perfect timing many of us face walls that seems unmovable but as concrete

14:52walls crumbled before explosives spiritual walls crumble under the power of god to corinthians chapter 10

14:59verse 4 from the ampc says for the weapons of our warfare are not physical weapons of flesh and blood

15:07but they are mighty before god for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds now these weapons are

15:14specially created by god to secure our victory and to demolish the stronghold that resists his truth in

15:23our life that is very important to understand these are our weapons we are not just without anything we

15:29are not victims these spiritual weapons enable us to fight against anything that stand against god will

15:38god's word what god has decreed with a power higher than any earthly weapon they walk through faith

15:47prayer the word of god and the holy spirit to bring lasting breakthrough and freedom amen amen number four

15:56god's rewards faith that acts hebrews 11 30 invites us to consider the incredible role

16:03of faith in the story of jericho let me read it to you in the niv by faith the walls of jericho fell

16:11after the army had marched around them for seven days and among those who showed faith was rahab who despite

16:19her challenging background being in the enemy camp chose to trust god's promise rahab's faith wasn't passive

16:28it moved her to act boldly james 2 25 so also with rahab the harlot was she not shown to be justified

16:38pronounced righteous before god by good deeds when she took in the scouts spies and sent them away by a different route

16:47her house was literally part of the city wall joshua 2 15 a symbol of strength and protection yet she

16:57and her family were spared because of her faith-filled actions in her courage to hide the spies sent by

17:04joshua rahab demonstrated that faith pleases god and has the power to move mountains even to bring down

17:14fortified walls see rahab's story reminds us that faith is not just belief but trust in action it shows

17:23us that when we step forward in faith even in the most unlikely places all situations god honors that

17:31faith and brings victory in today's term it's like insurance everybody knows about insurance right

17:38everyone faces the same storm but only those who are covered those covered or protected rahab believed in a god

17:48she had only heard about and he honored her faith no matter your past god honors faith and obedience

17:58amen number five summary all right so let's summarize uh some of the main key points today

18:09the fall of jericho teaches us number one god's word is sure before we see results god's word is sure

18:18god's word is prom is a promise is a guarantee before we see the results number two

18:24obedience in time activates breakthroughs beyond time number three walls fall not by might

18:33but by faith in other words not by strength not by striving not by acquaintances and networks

18:40but by faith the only network we need faith in christ jesus amen number four before we go to number four

18:48number three last george was saying not saying that god won't give you strategies in for you to do in

18:54the physical god will give you strategies there's a weapon but those weapon comes from comes with um

19:00equipment like we've always said even at the end when george does a salvation prayer um with discernment

19:06with strategies right number four god is never late what war are you facing today

19:14are you willing to trust god's promise even before you see results are you walking in obedience even

19:23when nothing is changing yet i hope you get encouraged today because as we see how god take hold of the

19:32situation and how god step on behalf of the israel know that the same god is the god is the same yesterday

19:39our god is the same yesterday today and forever and he would do the same for us may it be whatever

19:45situation may it be visible um walls may it be invisible walls nothing is too big for our god or

19:54impossible amen number six declaration are you ready let's make a declaration prayer heavenly father in the

20:02name of jesus we thank you for your timeless promises that never fail we give you praise because of what

20:10you have spoken which is already settled in heaven joshua 6 verse 2 we declare that we will walk in faith

20:19like joshua obey like israel and trust like rahab knowing that you honor those who believe

20:25hebrews 11 30 to 31 we confess that your plan is perfect and though the process takes time

20:32your timing cannot fail ecclesiastes 3 verse 11 we declare that every wall standing against your purpose

20:41in our life must collapse by the power of your holy spirit in the name of jesus for the weapons of our

20:48warfare are mighty through you to the pulling down of strongholds to corinthians 10 4. we rest

20:55in your faithfulness proclaiming that all your promises are yes and amen in christ jesus 2 corinthians

21:011 verse 20. we are confident in you i guarantee that what you have begun in us you will complete

21:09philippians 1 6. we pray all this in the mighty name of jesus amen hallelujah

21:17amen and amen amen amen amen all right let me conclude today with a very important part if

21:26you're new here and you have not made jesus your lord and savior this is a divine appointment this is

21:32this is not a coincidence you didn't come here and just show up here for nothing you know god's word in

21:381 john 5 4 to 5 reminds us that for whatever is born of god overcomes the world now of course it's not

21:45talking about you going back to your mother's womb and coming out again he's talking about a

21:50spiritual rebirth for whatever is born of god overcomes the world and this is the victory that

21:56has overcome the world listen to this because we are all we are all even as christians we all go

22:02through trouble we all go through issues especially in this fallen world as the word of god says we are

22:06living in a fallen world right now for whatever is born of god overcomes the world and this is the

22:11victory that has overcome the world our faith where are you putting your faith are you putting

22:17your faith in gurus in money in whatever whatever you're putting your faith everyone puts their

22:23faith in something even those so-called atheists they're not atheists they put their faith in

22:27something even in their statements they put faith in in those things who is he who overcomes the

22:33world this is the best part because you want to listen to this right you want to overcome those

22:36issues you want to overcome the world here it is he who believes that jesus is the son of god amen

22:45jesus is the son of god only one way one truth one life that is intolerant george yes hallelujah

22:52praise the lord it is it's called the truth truth is not a philosophy is the person of jesus christ

22:58and in order for it to be true it needs to be exclusive exclusive of everything else

23:06but the truth that's what makes the truth the truth and there is no one out there like jesus christ

23:11there's only one way one truth and one life john 3 16 17 you may have heard this one before

23:17is very clear for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son this is talking about our

23:22father god and then his only begotten son he's talking about jesus christ himself volunteered

23:31and he goes on to say his word that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life

23:38for god did not send his son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through him

23:43might be saved oh that's just might yes the might is your part you will be saved if you give your life

23:51to jesus you will be saved the word of god says so and i'll show you soon that might there is in case

23:58you decide not to accept jesus as your lord and savior in case you decide not to live with god you decide

24:06to go on your own then you've made your choice 1 john 1 verse 9 tells us very clearly what we need to do

24:13if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all

24:21unrighteousness oh there's that word sin george yes there's that word sin sin separated us from god

24:28and the reality is if you're living without god now the likelihood of you sinning is very high even if you

24:36live with christ jesus most of us christians we're going through a process called sanctification we all sin

24:41every single day whether it's up here or whether it's physically whether it's through our mouths

24:45whatever it is we all sin and fall short of the glory of god as the word of god says but that sin

24:52is talking about living without god if you confess those sins if you confess to god and say hey you

24:58know what you're right i've been living the wrong way the word of god is very clear and tells us that we

25:04are the only creation out of the whole planet that was created that was created in god's image can you

25:09imagine how much he loves us that he created us in his image it doesn't mean we're carbon copies

25:14obviously even though we're very good looking we don't look like each other do we come on of course

25:22however we are made in god's image in spirit we are made in god's spirit so we are spirit

25:28beings with a body and a soul amen and we are supposed to live in fellowship in a relationship

25:35in intimacy with god that's right and with his family which is the church the body of christ

25:42so what do i have to do george very very very simple romans 10 9 to 10 is very clear and it says

25:49that if you confess with your mouth the lord jesus and believe in your heart that god has raised him

25:53from the dead you will be saved there's the will for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and

26:00with the mouth confession is made unto salvation so all you need to do is right now you have to mean

26:05it come from your heart cry out to jesus jesus in your own words jesus if that is true right now i

26:13give you my life i make you my lord and savior use me for your glory i'm sorry for sinning against you

26:20but from this day forward use my life for your glory and i choose to believe that you died in my place and

26:27you rose again and you defeated the the the curse of sin and death and i i ended up adding some christian

26:36words in there and some theology but in your own words say it from your heart whatever comes in your

26:42heart so long as as you can see there romans 10 9 to 10 you confess with the mouth of the lord jesus

26:47believe in your heart that he that god raised him from the dead you will be saved but it doesn't stop

26:52there titus 3 verse 5 ephesians 2 verse 8 acts 1 verse 8 goes on to say then he saves you we are saved

26:58by grace through faith the gift of god it washes away our sins and giving us the new joy of the

27:07indwelling holy spirit and you will receive power when the holy spirit comes upon you and you will be

27:12my witnesses telling people about me everywhere what does that mean that's what we call in the christian

27:19circles baptism of holy spirit and fire being spiritual beings in a fallen world we do need

27:26spiritual weapons there is a war in the spirit that we cannot see right now but there is a war going on

27:31for the souls of humanity the devil is already lost just like we spoke about today the devil already knows

27:38the ending he's already lost but he doesn't want to go without taking people with him so you make the

27:47the lord jesus your lord and savior and now we're going to cry out to the lord we're going to pray

27:52together for the baptism of holy spirit and fire and if you've been baptized in holy spirit and fire

27:58before you can be re-baptized again look at the bible you'll see it's been it was there it's there if

28:04you need a refreshing but for those who haven't there is evidence of that and some of those evidences as

28:13seen in the bible you may find yourself speaking in some sort of gibberish language you think what

28:19is happening to me and you're like what is that that's just gibberish it's not gibberish it's that

28:27it's speaking in tongues it's a gift the spiritual gift of speaking in tongues which empowers you to

28:34speak directly to god himself it's a spiritual language that empowers you it empowers you as a

28:42whole spirit soul and body and it's something that god actually encourages us to do often some of you

28:49may feel a heat some of you may feel like electricity running through your body some of you may feel like

28:53a massive weight just lifted off you like you're free like you like your life's just changed like you

28:59you don't know how to explain something is just different that's good you will know so don't freak

29:05out just embrace it thank the lord for it praise him for it are you ready we're going to pray together

29:11lord i thank you for this privilege of praying with my brother and sister in the mighty name of jesus i

29:16thank you that you have already accepted them into the kingdom of god that there is a party in heaven

29:21rejoicing over their souls right now rejoicing over their salvation but right now lord we want more we want

29:27that joy of your indwelling presence we want your spirit to live inside of us forever so lord send fire

29:36as your word says that our god is a consuming fire send fire lord baptize us from head to toe inside and

29:43out set us on fire as revival fire that the world will watch will come and watch us burn for your lord

29:52yes a fire that cannot be quenched and use us for your glory yes lord let the joy of the lord the joy

29:59of our salvation be with us at all times yes use our lives for your glory lord

33:57the light of the gospel shines in our minds we thank you for that you have created in us pure hearts and

34:03pure minds yes and you're constantly strengthening you're constantly uh um uh renewing a steadfast spirit

34:12in us thank you lord a steadfast spirit that means persevering that means never ending never giving up

34:20but perseverant always motivated always hungry and thirsty for more of you lord yes we put you first

34:28as christ ambassadors we put you first and represent you so we thank you that our cup overflows

34:34not just for us but so that we can be a blessing not just to be blessed but so that we can be a blessing

34:40we thank you most of all for discernment in the days that we are living we pray for your discernment

34:46we pray that every opportunity that comes our ways lord that we exercise your discernment and continue

34:52to grow and be strengthened in your discernment in the mighty name of jesus that we will not be deceived

34:59nor deceive anyone in the ways of the world but we will walk after the spirit not after the flesh we will

35:06live by faith and not by sight for we are overcomers by the blood of the lamb and the word of our

35:12testimony we are more than conquerors through him christ jesus who strengthens us and finally we decree

35:19and declare that as for me and my family as for us and our families we will live we will serve we will

35:28worship the lord all the days of our lives the lord jesus yes lord for we are submitted to god

35:34and the devil flees from us and the devil flees from us yes the devil flees from us because we resist him
