This week on All Wednesday we discuss that remarkable win over Leeds United, the latest goings-on at Sheffield Wednesday, and hear from club legend, Chris Waddle, on Barry Bannan's place in Owls history.
Transcript
00:00When I sit down on a Zoom and Chris Waddle's face is on the screen,
00:03it's always a bit like, okay, yeah, that's a bit nuts.
00:07One thing I wanted to speak to Chris about was Barry Bannon.
00:11And we'll chat about Baz after we've heard what Chris has got to say
00:16because it's a very interesting standpoint from someone who is widely acclaimed
00:21as a Sheffield Wednesday legend and his thoughts on whether Barry
00:26should be in the same vein.
00:28And thanks to esportsbets.com for setting up this interview.
00:31This is what Chris had to say about Baz.
00:33Barry Bannon, what he's done this summer, the sacrifices he's made as a person.
00:38I know you spoke to me before about how good you think he is as a footballer
00:42and how he'd have fit in amongst you guys.
00:45But do you think that his status now as a club legend at Sheffield Wednesday
00:50is concrete after what he's done this summer and the last few years?
00:55Yeah, of course it is.
00:56He's been there a long time and he's always given 110%.
01:00He's always saying the right things on behalf of the club as well.
01:05Gets on with his job.
01:07No fuss with Barry.
01:08Gets on, gets on the pitch.
01:10Plays what he does.
01:11He's a good captain.
01:12He's a good leader.
01:13It'd be very important at the minute at the football club, I'm sure, for Hendrik
01:16to have somebody like that in the changing room with the players, with his experience at
01:22the club.
01:24Yeah, listen, he'd go down, rightly so, as a Wednesday legend.
01:30You know, we all know how the early 90s team, when I was there, you know, there's a lot of
01:36players who are regarded highly.
01:38And he's been searching for three decades.
