00:01For eight long years, Amanda May Chu lived in uncertainty.

00:06Her tomorrow was never guaranteed.

00:10But today, she has hope again.

00:13Her father, Dominic Damien, says Amanda told him,

00:17All I want is tomorrow. I want to live.

00:21It was the clearest thing she had said to him in years.

00:24And it came just hours after an FMT report on her plight

00:28sparks swift action from the authorities.

00:31The Health Ministry, the Malaysian AIDS Council,

00:34and the Malaysian AIDS Foundation have pledged to restore her treatment

00:38and even assist with her citizenship.

00:41This morning, Amanda is set to be examined at Sungaibulo Hospital,

00:45a decisive step forward after nearly a decade without specialist care.

00:51For Dominic, the relief is immense.

00:54He says Amanda's strength lies in her will to hold on,

00:58even through the darkest nights.

01:00She told him,

01:01I want to heal.

01:03I want to belong.

01:05And now, for the first time in years,

01:07that tomorrow she longs for feels within reach.
