00:00a great time for cincinnati fans i think right like i i thought that trey hendrickson
00:04was going to be traded i kind of felt like that and and i don't feel much better about his future
00:10in cincinnati getting this one year deal so are we under the assumption that this deal that he
00:17signed was to keep him in cincinnati or is this a play maybe for another team mid-season uh you
00:24know in the next week or so to get him somewhere else i was i'm a little perplexed here why
00:28hendrickson would only do a one-year deal knowing that he's sort of risking his health here going
00:34into free agency after the season mike it's a really strange decision i i don't know how it's
00:40appreciably different from being franchised in his circumstance uh to to accept the one-year deal it
00:46it works out for the bangles on multiple levels one they don't have to commit to the future uh for a
00:53player who has crossed the 30-year age mark as well as the fact that they don't they they have
00:59the ability and now trey may completely shut the door who knows right but they have the ability to
01:05go back and say okay let's get this done for the future and so they're not out of that i i am surprised
01:12that trey would agree to this i think some of it involves not wanting to sit out games and not
01:18wanting to uh to be in a circumstance where he he is losing money uh of all the teams in the league
01:24uh that might keep the fines in place uh you know the bangles aren't going to abandon any
01:30fines that he would incur if he were not on the field so i think that in in this case it this is a
01:37deal that works out well for them it doesn't work out horribly for him because he's going to get paid a
01:42big bunch but not not the level that he would if he had signed an extension on this contract
