Which European country's small business owners are the hardest working?

The majority of Italians and French rarely skip their lunch break, while many British entrepreneurs sacrifice their self-care for business.

00:00Which are the most hard-working small business owners in Europe?
00:09Small entrepreneurs are the greatest crafters in business.
00:13They tend to work over 41 hours a week,
00:16compared to the EU employee average of 36 hours.
00:21New research, however, highlights significant contrasts
00:25in the way they go about their hustle.
00:2743% of British small business owners, for example,
00:31tend to frequently skip lunch breaks
00:34against only 11% of Italians and 17% of French.
00:40Likewise, Italians have the highest rate of employers
00:44going for lunch breaks for over an hour, 33%,
00:49while Brits are at the bottom with only 5%.
00:53UK small entrepreneurs are also the least inclined
00:57to give importance to their self-care.
01:00Looking at entrepreneurs across all countries and company sizes,
01:0499% of which are small businesses,
01:08the hardest workers in the EU are the Belgians,
01:12clocking in an average of 48.9 hours per week,
01:17followed by Cypriots and Greeks.
01:20At the other end of the scale,
01:22Baltic countries put in the least hours,
01:25with Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania at the bottom of the list.
