00:00How concerned are European businesses and consumers about cyber security?
00:09More than one in five European businesses is affected by cyber security incidents.
00:16Threats ranged from IT service outages to data destruction or corruption
00:22and of course the disclosure of confidential information.
00:25The most affected country in the EU is Finland.
00:30Over 40% of businesses there were hit.
00:33Poland and Malta also reported substantial incident rates,
00:38while Austria and Slovenia were the least affected.
00:41Consumers are just as concerned as business owners.
00:45Half of them think they'll inevitably fall victim
00:48and 53% worry about online safety every week.
00:53On average, 77% of people across Italy, France, Spain, Germany and the UK
01:00say they were targeted in the past year, with Spain topping the list at 81%.
01:07Shopping and retail cyber frauds are the most common,
01:10followed by cryptocurrency and investment scheme scams.
01:14Finally, AI-generated scams are now the number one concern.
01:19Only 8% of people across the five biggest European economies
01:23believe they could detect AI fraud,
01:26with the Italians being the least confident at just 6%.
